I use a Nitecore Intellicharger I4 and a Intellicharger D4 to charge my batteries since most of my ecigs use 18650 batts . They're cheap on eBay especially for a 2bay charger. (the I2)

Extremely exhausted and don't have any flower on my right now to test this vape . I could use wax but I prefer my Liger for that. I have to say I like what I'm seeing compared to my original DaVinci , Titan (rip) and Flowermate (rip)

Thanks again @Vivant and @Vape Dr. !!!!

I have order this from heavengift and its arrived today...
I cant update the firmware from my pc ...the device charge but the app dont show this... :(

I have a strong plastic smell on 2-3 first burn off but i think is a normal smell for a new product and the battery % is not very accurate....(maybe because is new battery ad not fully recharged . Lg hg2) it start from 20% to 8% after 1 minute of use and returned to 18% after 1 minute of cooling down for multiple times ...

Edit whit usb cable in the box the firmware was updated :) :)

Very good vapor quality but not really impressed ..my fenix have better heat up time, large chamber for group or solo session, is more convention(im not sure of this) and is more easy to refill thanks its design (i love it is very easy ) and more easy to use whit perfect preselect temp. But alternate have better moutplace and good cooling chamber that give a little better vapor quality,a 18650 battery swappable ...but i have 2 fenix for this xD,adjustable airflow that is good but im scared for the delicated plastic used for this switch...

I have tested the airizer air ,flowermate pro ,aura , fenix and this... Fenix and alternate are very good vape and have better performance compared my other tested vape

A question ... Why there are two type of screen on the box ?
One type is unused in this vape..xD

I have some request for viviant ...i want a easy firmware for change temp in live session or example turn off the device when is heating in one step... (5 time to off ) , the possibility of set 3 or 4 presect temp maybe is a good feature!

And for the heat up time is possible that the lg hg2 at 20a have a very long heat up time compared to sony vc4 30a ?

(I have buy 4 hg2 i want try to update my fenix battery i have dissasemble it multiple times !! I will post the result on fenix discussion)

Sorry my english im italian

After 1st sesh with my Alternate, my initial impression is Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Upgrading firmware was a breeze. I performed 2 burn-offs prior to partaking. First draw was a little plasticky, but went away after a couple more draws. Speaking of draw, middle setting on flow regulator seems perfect. For me, 2 minute timer is just enough. At 375F, I was able to get decent clouds & the resulting avb was still a little green.
After using the FM V5s & X-Max v2 pro, this device feels less premium. The heft of device & feel of mouthpiece is lacking due to plastic materials. I understand why, due to keeping costs low, but it is lacking imho. In the least, some sort of glass mouthpiece would make it better.
Overall, I am still very impressed. Plus, the amazing folks at PIU deserve props for crazy fast shipping and awesome service. I ordered on Monday around 3pm & had the vape in hand Wednesday evening. Meesh @PIU also swapped out the free gift without asking because I didn't need another grinder.
Thanks FC community for the recommendation & Vivant for making a great, affordable vape!

One screen is in the bowl, & the other is in the cooling unit/mouthpiece.

This is the abv result of 5min alternate at 220 vs 2x5min fenix at 220

But is normal 45% drain of battery after one session at 220 of 5 min ???? :(

How i can check originality of my lg hg2 ???
I have order this battery whit vape from heavengift

One screen is in the bowl, & the other is in the cooling unit/mouthpiece.

My unit has preinstalled only one type of screen (till screen)for both mouthpiece and botton chamber

@joint46go by 45% drain do you mean after 1 session it was at 45%? Or that it drained that much and was at 55%? Mine has not been draining that much but I do not use it at 220.

With the stock green battery after 1 session, 5min at 200, I had 84% battery. After a second session same bowl at 210 I had 67%.

Using my Lg HG2 after 1 session, 5min at 200, I had 95% battery. After a second session same bowl turned up to 210 I had 91%

From 60% to 15% after 1 session at 220 of 5 min

But this is a new battery never fully charger...

I would be very skeptical about the authenticity of a heavens Gift battery

I just lost my CF and this vape seems like the same thing but with a removable battery. You guys did say it has a small bowl though which I'm not that big a fan of. I almost exclusively used my CF through a bong so I'm really hoping you guys make an official WPA.
@Vivant
If you are going to make a glass WPA please also make a metal one. I've dropped the CF probably over 40 times from pretty high up and it has never broke(didn't stop the RA's from confiscating it during a fire drill though :(
If that WPA were glass I would have had to buy a new WPA. I don't get any bad taste from metal WPA so imo the metal WPA is superior. Also, could you answer if you are considering making the bowl bigger? And if so make pods for it. I'm really going to miss the CF's big bowl but I need a new vape in that price range that can also go through a bong and has removable batteries. The only wpa i see for this is http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vivant-alternate.23668/page-10#post-1090391

Hello @squigger , thank you for your input. I will make sure to relate your advice about making a metal WPA to our design team. As for the bowl size, yes we possibly will make future products with bigger sized bowls, unfortunately since the Alternate is already released there is not much structural changes that we can make of it at this time. Yes, the pod system is something our design team is working on for the Alternate. We sure hope you will enjoy our Alternate! Thank you -Emily

Good. I can't be the only one who likes the current bowl size. That's one of the things that makes this different from other session vapes like the boundless ones. And while an official water adapter is being worked on. the one that was shown a few pages earlier works great.

I plan to use my Alternate mostly for microdosing (when i get it). The bowl size and ability to use mostly convection is perfect for even smaller amounts. Plus when I wanna hit a 9 I can just pack a full bowl or two!

Mine be here tomorrow but still on a T break till it gets here. I mean Monday (T break) damn you.

Free, nice vape and no use till Monday. Guess you grow more patient with age, not.

I try to do a T break once a month. I use the 4/20 method usually but family stress had me skipping a month or 2, maybe next time damn FC. I should wait. I quit smoking cigs when I started my T break and hate to change my goals cause I am a 420maniac with a new free vape-Pray 4 me! :)

PS did I pimp PIU yet? :)

Life is GREAT, I saw the contest while looking for my mighty screens since no one had them and my email notice did not work for PIU.

Means just when you have it all figured out, they change the rules.

Peace.

My buddy just got an alternate and I gotta say - best budget vape ever. This little fucker's got some punch and everything everyone says about the vapor quality is true - you want bear bones budget and brilliant vapor quality? Best get one of these suckers.

BUT since @Vivant is so open to implementing easy fixes and little changes to add to the quality of the experience, I'd like to throw a few ideas into the mix. :D First off, you guys DEFINITELY need to watch the @Vape Dr. WPA videos on his YT and try to make something like that, only integrated (anyone on FC will tell you a significant portion of the community is WPA-all-the-way).

Second, completely personal opinion, make the current mouthpiece or future mouthpieces a little less finicky - you can really mess up the airflow if it sits in the wrong position sometimes and I feel like newbies might fuck a little less than combustion if it's seated wrong making for an airy first session.

Third and final, I reckon if possible you guys should provide a total pass-through option so people on a budget can use this vape for at home as their desktop and as their portable (I bet a lot of Alternate owners wish they could cut out the battery middleman!).

Regardless, thank you very much for the product and because of my friend allowing me a trial run I can unequivocally say I am going to support your company and buy an Alternate as well as a slew of accessories when they make themselves known. :)

Why would pass through matter when you can get 1-2 more 18650 batteries and run all day and night (as long as you own an 18650 charger)?

I am not really a session vape person but if I am going to use one the vivant is the one I choose. And again, the things I like about it are the things that some want changed. I love that I can just replace batteries. When I first got it I would look at the power decreasing and saw that as a negative until I remembered I could just put a fresh battery in and it would be back to full power. No need to ever charge given the batteries. I never need to use the usb except for software updates. I haven't had problems with the mp- I'm not sure how to set it wrong but I'm going to check that out to see how that happens. If there's something at all complicated with a vape I am likely to mess it up and that hasn't happened with this one. I still prefer my milaana but the vivante is growing on me.

hello everyone.. I must admit that after @Vape Dr. little advice, my eyes have turned to this good looking vape. I'd like tho to ask. How can it be hybrid? If you put operate it in shorter sessions it'll work as a convection else it'll work as a conduction vape?
Moreover, @Vivant when do you guys think of releasing the WPA? Does it worth waiting so that I get them together or is it going to be a little while?

I'm just waiting for some money and most than probably I'll be giving this a shot. My GH cannot stand on its own and I'm fed up with the butane as my main driver. I definitely need a good and y not cheap backup for service timing. Although, I think that the Alternate will definitely get loved a lot as well :)

I too prefer a small bowl size. I have yet to read a objective bowl size though. What does the bowl fit? Based purely on reading this thread I would guess 0.2g? Also does it take a full bowl to work properly? A believe a few people mentioned microdosing, so that must not be the case. But then again I guess a microdose is a subjective amount based on tolerance.

I agree, the bowl size of the cfx is mostly what put me off it. I mean, in my Air, I use dome screens to cut the bowl in half, a smaller bowl is defo preferable, ill just repack if I need to 8)
