Wow, this is unbelievable...like a dream come true! Damn, this is awesome news...Soundgarden is probably my favorite band of all time. Can't wait to hear some new SG tunes, and can't forget the tour! Hopefully Cornell's still got it...especially after his Scream stint.

*celebrates by playing BMF*

Any SG fans round here?

And I was psyched about Tadgarden... Holy shit!

Cameron is still my favorite living drummer. Cornell's voice isn't even close to the subpop days but you won't hear me complaining. 4 octaves don't last forever! Euphoria Morning was a good album but they got progressively worse... haven't been able to bring myself to listen to Scream. Redemption time for Chris! You know Kim and Ben can still shred.

Thanks for the heads up. Fuck yeah! Now they just have to go on tour with Tool and I can die happy.

Edit: vids

Badass cover: Into the void set to Chief Seattle's 1854 speech. Genius!

Motorvision!

Cornell definitely functions better in a band. Some might disagree but I thought his Audioslave stuff was excellent and I was sad to see them disband. I'm hoping Soundgarden records some new material.

i'm not too jazzed about this. they might be able to pull off the later stuff but all the good stuff is beyond cornell's ability these days. that's what hammering alcohol can do to a person's voice.

saw them three times in the old days. with hiro, jason and ben each one time. ben sheppard was by far the worst of the three live. maybe he's better these days. i don't know.

Oh yeah, nice SOMMS avatar there vtac. SOMMS is great, that Into the Void cover was awesome indeed, as well as Stray Cat Blues and Girl U Want. One of their best EP's.

Have you heard Cold Bitch, Birth Ritual, or Blind Dogs? Those are some of my favorite B-Sides Soundgarden released. Motorvision was fucking great as well. That was SG in their prime.

Yeah, hopefully Cornell can pull it off nowadays. From what I've read, he performed quite well on his solo tour, even on the SG songs, so that's reassuring.

It's always been a dream of mine to see them live. Can't wait for them to tour...no matter the price, I will be at a SG show(s) this time.

Cornell should grow his hair out long again like in the early 90's....haha that would be awesome, even though he's like 45 now :/.

That's wicked you saw them with Hiro.

I mean yeah a lot of reunions are little disappointing. Pumpkins anyone? But why not? I don't think Chris' voice is as far gone as Plant's was for the Zeppelin reunion and they didn't even have Bonzo.
