I think the batteries drop off over time, not the Firefly. At least I'm hoping this is the case. When I put in a good battery it works great but the weaker battery not so good. Never gets to the proper temp and after two bowls the red light glows. Very Nice mitchgo61.

That is an issue. Maybe some of the plastic heat button broke off, reason for being loose. None of my units have rattled when shaken. I would call Firefly and see what they say. I'm pretty sure they will want that one back.

The heat button can be loose without any issues at all. Draw button is loose because it's just that a button made of plastic sitting over a much smaller button on the circuit board. My unit, unlike the others, cuts off at about 25 seconds. Seems a bit warmer even though it heats for less time.

Replacement unit opened, tested and all I can say is "WOW"! The first pull was by far the best so far. This new unit is as close to perfect as I could ever expect. After the second pull, I remembered why I purchased the Firefly. Thanks again FC folks, all is right, again, in my world...

That's a good way to put it...new company, new product, new employee's, very small mistake. I know the first one I purchased was a booboo nothing more. They were very gracious, sent me a new unit pronto. In my opinion, Firefly has the best customer service since the milk man.
