I've heard from a lot of people that the crafty medicates better than the other portables. I can't say either way as I've only ever tried the crafty. The warranty here in the US is good, you wont have to worry about wasting your money. I originally bought 2 in Nov 2014, and one of them was replaced twice, the other was replaced once. They always sent me brand new replacement and of course all of the extra parts. Besides being out of my crafty for about a week, I think I've made out pretty good on the deal. I only hope these newer units are going to last. The original run had a lot of fragile points causing breaks and such that they have since fixed.
The unit does need some care though, it's made out of plastic so it can break if its dropped. I also think excessive heat is another problem. Electronics in general hate heat. So you have to be mindful.
Their price to replace the battery is absurd, they should make these units with user replaceable batteries.
One thing you'll never hear me say is that I wish I hadn't bought the crafty.

I suppose at the end of the day, even though it seems insane when you add the price of the two, I might end up with both a Crafty and Mighty at some point (unless something better or a replacement comes out) but I think I will get the one I want the most, the Crafty, first! I love how it looks in pics and I know it's going to blow me away if/when I can get it!
I also hope that this registers more interest with the company, in their "Smallest S&B vaporizer" as that is what I want! Their next model will probably be Crafty 2 or Mighty Slim Mini !
And I know they wont know this (unless they read here!) but a knowledgeable vaporist with 1 years experience is prepared to invest in their one product that had a ropey beginning, because I am confident in their ongoing improvements and commitment to supplying successful machines!
I'm not very far from one of their service centers, and as it says around page 288,
@vts I think says "If you have a back-up portable, you should have no problem owning a Crafty atm." and I remember this from faulty chinese stuff, as long as you have a unit to cover any possible down time, it's not too bad at all. And that's even with that slow China post boat!!
In the warranty period, and beyond, I will use the unit as I like with limited regard for temperature, cooling down, or when I charge it, in the hope that they may learn from any failures to improve future releases.
So, thanks again for your help! Two things I must search this thread for now are "battery replacement price" and "Solar",
as I hope to compliment my Crafty charging with solar, (wind???) 12v car, and/or power bank power, and need to find the mAh requirements.
I so look forward to getting mine, I had cardboard cutouts of Crafty and Mighty sizes last night and pretending to hold and vape from them! Hope nobody saw me!!
Man, it sucks hearing about so many people having problems. My crafty is a champ. I've had it for 11 months now, and have never had any issues. It probably has been used on average about 3-4 full loads per week. It's been my go-to portable vape for the last year. I'll have to check when I get home how many hours it's been in service. I have no idea. (I'm assuming that is stored in the unit, and the app will pull it when I connect it) I don't use the app much at all.
I may plan to do about 5-10 loads some days of the summer with a Crafty, I hope the latest versions will withstand more realistic usages!
I'm the kind of person who just charges and uses things how I like, not how the battery/device likes!

They could be even more vauge than that, I think battery would be a fine description of the product =) Just look at China exporters. They pretty much give a description of the product as the part that weighs the most. Metal tube for an ecig atomizer, etc.

Or some glass pieces I got would be marked "kitchenware"!
In fact, kitchenware also kinda covers everything relating to herbs, glass, metals and electronics!
"Battery" yes, Or also "Vape module" sounds maybe like innocent e-cig items.
