Greetings!
My first prototype modular mouthpiece came in today! Woo Hoo. Thank you @Ed's TnT
Check this out, it fits on a Ti Woody.

And it fits like this.

And it fits on a Ti Glassy.

I shortened the glass body on this one so it will still fit in the shipping tube and or the DynaStash.
I will have the short "Bodies" available as soon as I have the modular mouthpieces.

IMG_20160204_193132416_zpsjkicz0gx.jpg

Also as this picture shows, the standard Ti Woody or Ti Glassy condenser fits all the way through the mouthpiece.

I think it is very important to have as many components across the entire product line interchange.
These new mouthpieces will also fit into an original VapCap, but will require the upgraded condenser.

As before, please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you!

George
Looks great, George! Love how the product is evolving! Will be buying a second woody soon...gonna give my dad one for his birthday. I've wanted him to quit smoking my entire life, and he hates vapeoizers. This could be the one he likes though, since it's so similar to smoking!

Keep up the great work :)

On another note my woodie has a crack now, and the top is charred a bit too from the heat. May need to buy a third since the new ones seem to have fixed this problem :)

That is very nice! I guess prototype is made of wood, the final release still be wood?

Love the form and the evolution of this tiny, smart device

Cant wait for mines to came.

Such a elegant piece!

.....Video review coming soon!
@VapCap On second thought I dont think I should use the condenser tube in this way. The condenser tubes are extreamly thin.

I noticed a very tiny chip on the tip of the tube, i threw it away and hoped i havent inhaled any glass particles, i notice the tip of the spiral condenser tube is very thin and seems rough on the tip as well. Is it chiping from the heat? Or is this a manufacturing phenomenon?

Postman just came with my Ti Glassy, this thing is beautiful!! I thought the cap was gonna be sturdier, but it's really thin. I'm gonna clean it and start trying it ASAP. I can foresee this in my pocket everyday, everywhere :D

I only have one problem, George forgot to add the torch lighter :(

The only torch I have is my big one for dabs and I'm afraid that one is gonna be too strong (and not portable at all) what can I use in the mean time to start the testing?

Edit: Just tried it empty with my torch (with the end of the flame, don't want to burn it) and it works perfectly. One click at heating and 2 at cooling. Cleaned the inside tube, bowl and cap with ISO and a q-tip. Time to search a small torch and start using it with some meds ;)

Edit 2: OK this is gonna be like a mini review/first impresions.

Right now I'm on holidays in Spain at my mom's house. She's an ex-smoker and has a lot of lighters, searching through between them I found this cheap lighters/mini torches:

fvxWahU.jpg

So I was ready to try it! Filled the bowl with some medium grind (Santa Cruz Shredder) and started heating around the end of the cap. No vapor at all, no hot air feeling in my mouth, only a tiny bit of flavour (keep in mind I'm using a cheap shitty lighter). Then I remembered reading here about some people heating it mid-cap, tried it while rotating and when I heard the click, stayed just a second longer or so...

Dude!! I felt the warm vapor filling my mouth and lungs and exhaled a really nice flavorful big cloud from my first hit. Second hit was another nice cloud, full of flavour too and in the third hit I heard the cooling clicks but still got a nice but wispy cloud from it. So after using it I wanted to see the ABV to check if it was evenly vaped:

xqEibTw.jpg

As you can see perfectly even and no black spots. I think there is still another cycle there :haw:

Guys I'm not gonna lie, I'm a believer now. This vape is so damn small that I can just take it with the lighter anywhere. I'm gonna keep this little guy in my pocket everytime I go out of my house. So easy to use: put a little bit of grinded herb in the bowl, heat it a few seconds and you're good to go.

bydJUfD.jpg

I'm in love with this little guy :luv:

Can't wait until there is more options available. So far I think I'm gonna order an OG glass (Can I put the Ti bowl in the OG?) and wait until there is a Ti tube to put inside of the glass. I just want to have a Glass one and a Ti Glassy without SS tube inside.

Good job George, another happy customer here!!

@VapCap, I was going to place an order, but I'm not too fond of using a credit card on a non-secure site. Is this a normal condition for the DynaVap site, or is something temporarily messed up? Also, any chance PayPal or similar options might become available? Not saying I don't trust YOU, but I don't want someone else to capture my input.

Thanks, @Archaicrevival. I'll use my laptop for checkout. On my iPad, I don't get the https, nor the padlock symbol that is normally shown in the url window on a secure site. Either there's a problem with mobile usage, or I'm missing something. The latter is entirely possible.

I'll look forward to receiving a VapCap, as I sent my ESV in today for repair. I definitely need a portable backup, and I wouldn't think much can go wrong with this thing. I love the simplicity of it.

I'd say 3 weeks.

Oh, well. I'll still enjoy having it, I'm sure. :)

I haven't used anything else since I mastered my VapCap :) Daily driver, no doubt.

Ok, just found that using cheap lighters suck. I started having problems with them, the "flame" was smaller every time and they weren't heating the cap enough so I started heating a bit longer after the click... So long history short, I was so close to combustion that my ABV was black, not ash but black. For me that's like combusting. Totally my fault, not the unit itself.

So I decided to wait until tomorrow to continue testing it, I'm gonna go to a cigar shop and hope to find a good-not-too-expensive good lighter. I mean, this VapCap deserves a proper torch lighter :)

And also take all the unit apart and soak everything (except o-rings) in ISO to get rid of the dirty smell after near "combustion". It's ok to soak the white ceramic right? I'm gonna let it soak all night and dry it tomorrow for a new start! :science:

Here is the whole happy family and Wenge is especially happy with his classy Ti Glassy with the modular @Ed's TnT blackwood mouthpiece.

These are up on my website if anyone is interested. As you may notice I have some new grain patterns as well, and the magnet has been upgraded too.
It easily holds any Dynavap Vap and also will remove a properly tensioned hot cap. These are great on the end table or bar to hold your Vap.

Cheers,

George

I'm intrigued by this little device, though, I can't help think the original/classic unit is the best option given it is a glass path way. Do the ti ones get hot after a hit, and does the ti path make a difference on the glass/ti model?

All look so good George nice to see a variety of woods to chose from, it was good before but even better now. Been in contact with VC about pure ti units and they are on the way as I've seen a good few people mention getting one, just a case of the machining and carful labour before they are released to the public, already on the waiting list myself ;)

Yet saying this the old style OG is still working like a trooper, becoming a fan of the simple bud pellet method for getting exceptional vapours as opposed to grinding at all, feel it also gives a touch better flavour especially with a little added kief too.

Once it clicks the VapCap is up to vaping temp no matter what sized flame you're using so when-ever you go past the click you risk combustion. I used mine the other night with a small alcohol burner/lamp which took what seemed like forever to reach high enough temps to get the Click but once I heard it it was good to go.

Pretty sweet that you can use anything with a steady flame as a heat source should the need arrive.

Yeah, I wouldn't try it . but Im sure you could put the glass condenser in the ti/glass tube and then the mouth piece over it so it holds.

But then you're using the MP which taste less then great after a little misuse and use.
