I finally got around to taking a couple pictures of my mini! As you can see I also picked up the battery pack and case UD recommends, and I love it. It took me a second to figure out how to adjust the voltage, but it works beautifully.

I'm really happy with the mini. It's beautiful. Some of the cracks go all the way through the wood, so you can actually see the core through them.

I commissioned Underdog to customize the core for me. I didn't like the idea of the soft O-ring, I much prefer the solid stop on my HI or the Standard core UD. So he welded on a metal stop for me. I love it. it has a very satisfying feel when I push a glass stem against it, or one of ED's SS bushings.

There isn't a business out there that can match UD in customer service.

(Note: I don't think there's any health concerns with the O-ring or anything like that, I'm just picky.)

My mini (and other goodies) arrived in the mail yesterday! However I fought off great temptation and wrapped the box up for Christmas without even opening it to have a peek - it required much willpower but should at least make for a good Christmas morning .

Omg I'm getting that customization done on my next dog whenever that ends up being. That looks wonderful and somewhat ideal for me.

Recently used my friend's mini with my VVPS. The VVPS can definitely add a kick to the mini, giving it the potential for some super foggy hits right around 14.3 volts for me. I only kept it there a very short amount of time (5 mins), but thought it could be useful to know. Don't be deceived by the word "mini", as the hits are very capable of being anything but.

Let me see if I got something straight. (If I don't make any sense, it's probably because both of my ears are currently infected, which is very painful, mind-altering, and sleep-depriving.) This is my current understanding, I believe:

Any word ending in "onG" means [slightly conical] adapter, right? So if I'm on the Underdog web site selecting stem options, NonG means a stem with nylon on the bowl side and glass on the user side?

So if I bought a vape with a GonG stem, it would basically be like the middle portion of the herb holder in my picture, from just below the bottom of the frosted glass to the bottom of the larger tapered part? One end has a bowl which fits into the vape, while the other end tapers from 18 mm to 14 mm, which would allow me to use this water filter by placing an Underdog on top of the filter, with a GonG connecting them? Right?

Also, I believe @underdog said he's gradually phasing out one of the core styles. If so, I'm thinking it might be a good idea for me to get the style that's being phased out. Does that make sense, or am I overthinking it?

I was inclined to think I had found a good solution to my Aromed's problems within last few days (by creating herb risers made of simply flour and water, as seen in the picture above). This works amazingly, and it changed everything for me, but it is trouble I don't want to have to deal with.

Come to think of it, I was inspired to try that mod by things I've read in this thread. Another thing I've been doing with my Aromed the last few days is allowing the herb holder to get really hot before adding herbs. Which requires some creativity not supplied by the instructions (and a lot of work).

...does vaping through dough bake it into some kind of cannabis-infused mini-bread??

Nong is Nylon on Glass. It has a ss tipped bowl with a 14 or 18mm adapter going into the glass of your choice.

Loving all the new dogs and mini pups, keep em coming! Woof!
I've been considering getting samples of a bunch of different UV fluorescent woods and asking you to make a patchwork Dog out of them. I think it could be really cool to have a vape that has two or three different appearances, depending on what kind of light is hitting it.
Really cool idea, I hope to see this happen. Btw Happy Birthday Dog!

I know they are already notorious for their awesome customer service, but I just wanted to provide another testament to it.

In short, I had a variety of questions and @underdog provided extremely helpful, timely responses (within an hour or two). He clearly took his time responding to give me clear answers addressing all of my questions, not just brief bullet point responses, but thorough answers.

At one point I hinted that I was planning on buying screens with my purchase and he basically talked me out of it, when he could have just said nothing and taken my money.

He helped out with a special shipping arrangement for me.

I placed the order last night and I am tracking it in the mail today.

Both @underdog and @underdogette are class acts. I'll follow-up with impressions once I receive my UD, but just wanted to give this awesome pair some props.

Mods, I was unsure where to post these. Please move to a more appropriate section if this is the wrong place.

So I just went through the TSA security checpoint in a prohibition state with no issues. I'm not traveling with stems and the underdog was sitting in a laptop bag with an aroma cup on it and the power supply was just with my laptop cord stuff. As far as I know it didn't raise any eyebrows as I wasn't subjected to any additional scrutiny aside from the pat down I got for opting out of the body scanner. I also had a Pax 2 just chilling in my purse next to a bunch of makeup, I can only assume that the man viewing the x-Ray assumed it was some makeup thing. I left the oven on that empty, but tbh I'm almost regretting that as I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have noticed anything, but probably better safe than sorry. I also think a clean stem would probably not have raised any red flags, but that if you're packing a stem it should probably go into a checked bag to be safe, and be thoroughly cleaned, perhaps with a new screen.

Got my cheap $15 tattoo power supply in the mail today and it fell apart the second I took it out of the box :\. The screws don't fit properly so the entire inside circuit board just slid right out of the exterior case.

If there were a higher quality version of this mini power supply, I would buy it in a second because I love the form factor. I'm really not a big fan of a larger VVPS, to me it takes something away from the beautiful simplicity of the log vape itself.

A dimmer with the numbered notches like the Nano would be perfect for my UD. The one I bought on Amazon doesn't have any indicators on it at all so it's tough to remember how to set it. Maybe I should try putting a sticker on it to mark the current setting position...

I need to figure out an elegant solution to temp setting because I'm loving my UD but I need it to run a bit cooler.
