The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

do you guys think if a 2015 made Mighty can have a 12xxx serial? The store where i can buy sayme have 2015´s units, so t'hats indicate is a 20xxx o more?

YES. My first is a 12xxx. However, it's the older version...1 minute shutoff, non-reinforced housing. I asked SB about it..their exact words were "that SN is from 2015....however, it's not the latest version".

Interesting, my 12XXX would actually maintain its temp. This new one if I set it to 210c, it will do a dance if I leave it......goes up to 211 - 212 then 211 - 210 - 209 - 208 and right back up and down again. I kinda like it, shows that it's +/- 2c of target temp. Maybe it did this before, but just didn't "show" it? Regardless, you're right they perform the same. Loving it!!

That is actually what I meant...both dance around the target temp. The 30xxx is more consistent in preventing that dance from going below the set target temp.

So I bought a WEEGO 12000mah jump starter battery bank (the size of my iPhone) it just charged my mighty in 1hr45min from flashing battery symbol (so pretty much drained) & the WEEGO still has a full battery. Charging output= 12v/10A.

@mitchgo61 beat me to it, but yes they are. My unit is 119xx so not quite 12, got it May 2015. It also has 1 min shutoff etc.

Mighty is charging right now....I hadn't really used it in a while, but I greatly enjoyed it the other day, forgot how great it was.

@biohacker , have you any experience with vapes that are more water dedicated, and if so how does the Mighty compare? I'd been meaning to pick up one of those SonGs for a minute, and that video looked fucking awesome.....

I had shied away because, with people having problems, I didn't really want to do anything different, no mods or using it as S&B did not intend out box. I am ignorant of the firmware/software/internals and I wasn't sure if the big drop in temp through the water pulls would trip it out. Just think I may have to try it though :) the adapters are pretty cheap

Thanks bro, I do enjoy making them! Yes, I have experience with many vapes that are more water dedicated such as the EVO (and previous Cloud/Cloud+ generations), VripTech heat wand, Herborizer, E-Nano, LSV,as well as some others that can be modded that work well with glass -> Herbalizer, SSV, EQ, Solo, Plenty, and probably some that I am forgetting over the past decade. For me, the Mighty blows them all away.... I don't collect vapes, I only like having my top 2 or 3 in the lineup, and now it has come down to the HerbalAire Elite for my prized favourite desktop of all time (and you've seen me owning some of the big boys, that says something), and the Mighty and Crafty for my portability needs. At this point, I crave nothing more for my VAS, although I do admit missing my VripTech and Herbalizer from time to time, but I can live without them.

I just don't see any portable coming even close to the Mighty (and Crafty). I wouldn't worry about using it with the SonG though....you won't have a single issue....just super moisture conditioned tasty smooth filtered clouds of heaven!

I'm starting to find .25g bowls just a bit too big and overflowingly messy, so going to dial it back to .2g per load for the sweet spot!

Already noticed some light scratching on the sides of the bowl due to using a screen instead of the liquid pad. The edges mark up the sides, but it doesn't concern me.... just a heads up for those that are new.

@biohacker saying as you owned both the Herbo & Mighty are the screens universal in size? That is what does most of the scratching it really bugs me my Herbo bowls get scratched and so will the Mighty Oven in time. In saying that i do clean my Herbo down with RooR glass cleaner and cotton baby wipes every 2-3 days max.

The Mighty will soon be recieving the same treatment. I really hope i get the clouds you get in that video, My Herbo gives me exactly the whitewall you see in the vid as long as it is max temp 230c and the material is nearly touching the heater. I get some seriously brown avb like this now and wanted the same from Mighty.

Light brown/green is no good at all for me. I like to see everything extracted and brown.

Hey man, I can't tell you about the screens because I sold my Herbie over a year ago. I think the Herbie screens might be bigger? I honestly don't care about the scratches, my previous 2 Mighty's were MUCH worse, especially since concentrates "stain" those scratches. No big deal for me, and it's self inflicted anyway, although i'm guessing the liquid pads will scratch as well.

I never really was able to whitewall with my Herbie, even at 229c, it's quite strong in the convection department so I always chocked it up to that. But the Herbie made me cough like crazy, that heat ripped apart my lungs for some reason, but I also had that issue with the EVO.

There isn't any reason why you can't get your Mighty to do what mine can..... if you have decent flowers. Plus, my lungs are huge so maybe that's how I get it milking up? Not sure, but I love the Mighty!

I never really got super dark abv with the Herbie....mainly light brown. With my mighty, it's usually 2 toned, with dark brown being the bottom half, and the top half is lighter.... never any green specs though, unless I never really took every last bit of vapour out of it.

If you like everything fully extract and dark brown, look into the HerbalAire! I much prefer it to the Herbalizer!

Does it come with the correct plug to go straight into Mighty?

I owe the Mighty. After less than 5 months of use; 3-4 sessions per day, less than full load using liquid pad to fill heating chamber, temperature set-point 356 degrees without stepping; the unit began to require charging every day. Should be aware that as the level of charge gets below half the heat up time increases. Returned to Storz & Bickel and was told "anticipated repairs would be free of charge". Well 2 days later received an email requiring a payment of $96.40 for the replacement of the batteries ($40.00 x 2 for batteries, $10.00 labor charge, $6.40 return shipping). When I questioned this because of the 2 year warranty, I was told the batteries are wear and tear items, and not covered by any warranty. That chapped my hide and I had a heated discussion with an employee at the repair facility. Ended by telling them to return the piece of junk. They returned it alright, but not the same unit I sent to them. Returned unit was not mine, it had a different serial number and the heating chamber was extremely dirty and covered with brown burnt resin. I immediately called and emailed them about this and was told the serial number label was changed but the unit was the same. I told them it was not the same machine but they insisted it was. So I used it and found this unit did not recognize the set-point temperature correctly, since the unit would always heat up to 360-364 degrees rather than 356. Called and emailed again, and was told the new units work this way, and mine had received new programming update. What???? So the Mighty does not have precise electronic control or super precise temperature control? Sent unit back and when returned was told unit is functioning perfectly. Unit still heats up above the set-point and now I can barely get through 3 sessions before recharging. So for approximately $400.00 I got a vaporizer that worked well for 3 months, needed new batteries after 4 months (which I refused because of cost), and now needs recharging constantly. If I was a heavy user or used this unit with others, it would require charging after every use. In conclusion, Storz & Bickel might be a great company or they might be like Volkswagen, claiming greatness without providing it. Check out user feedback on various websites and you will see the number of complaints about batteries, temperature control, overheating, and customer service. Oh yeah, and the cleaning videos are a joke, the cooling units require much more than wiping with q-tips and alcohol to clean them. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers here, but the Mighty and Crafty are highly over-rated vaporizers.

Sorry about that hassle. Lets see i purchased a totally different machine a ps4 for about 400 bucks. Got a 3 year warranty blah blah....but anyway if i had to go through the hassle of things i hear some of you fine folks go though with my ps4, i would be so heated since its used daily for entertainment. But luckily i never had a problem out of sony so when they come out with something new regardless of price i buy it. Point of this is because of these various issues I dont even wana bother buying a mighty and definitely not crafty.

P.S Volkswagon actually been caught not being so reliable

VW was caught not being so reliable? What? And what does that have to do with the Mighty vaporizer?

I can empathize with not wanting to buy a mighty, or crafty, but unfortunately until something that is "better" than these products comes along, some of us are more than happy taking our chances with their reliability and customer service.

I love my Mighty!

Yup a german company so highly praised for quality , come to find out it was a sham. What if samething is found out with S&B later on??? I was going to buy the mighty because of vapornation lifetime warranty but this 70-90 bucks a year or maybe more for batteries......hmmm na. I might as well buy a vapor xhale

Vapes R Great
I dont even care anymore, I will shell out 100 USD for batteries once a year if I have to. I spend more than that per month on herb anyways! THis thing is just too good. I think I am over a month now with no combusting. Couldn't do that with the other portables I tried!

If you are really worried I would wait another six months and see what improvements S&B come up with before purchasing. For me I just like to spend money, I don't care about losing money or wasting it. I'm not rich in the slightest actually been on welfare for two years. I knew I was taking a chance when I slapped down my $500 CAD.

So far this device has exceeded my expectations.

Nah Sublimator is the last after the Mighty and Herbo thats a lot of money on illegal things someone can legally take away! Especially when i have two space cases of the biggest size in 4 and 2 peice! This is why i am hoping S&B or someone out there will hear my plea and find out if they are universal in size becaue S&B are MILKING it for 4.90 euro for 6 when Herbie sell 10 with surgical grade for 1.90.

And also the Herbie has decent convection and conduction if you let it pre heat at 229c. This is the way i will maintain it should be used but most like you seem to have skipped it over. You need to use either a ton of material as a bed and stir or like me simply do not empty it until it is pretty much touchig the top of the heater and bowl hehehe. This does rip your lungs too only two weeks ago i came in from a 20 day drought and i went from milking thier bubbler to the point where you cannot see a finger on the other side to coughing out entire bowls. I think it took 4 days to get back to being able to hold it in, Heck that thing is lung olympics hehe.

Also to the peeps shirking at the money, This is an expensive habit if you want quality! Mighty is 525 CAD where i am and my Herbo with the accesories was around 660 CAD the Sublimator is around 690 CAD. It seems 500 to 700 CAD is the price point for the top end experience really. And if you need a daily driver, A backup driver and a portable you best have 1900 CAD. :D

@rodders83, you're really comparing apples to oranges here. The Herbalizer and Subliminator are both great vapes, but they're desktops. I consider the Mighty the best of the best in the portable category and I dare to say will perform better than most desktops. However, to compare a desktop to a potable is not really realistic. You can't take your Herbie or Subliminator or EVO out and about and you certainly can't fit those devices in your pocket.. I stand by my statement " IMO, the Mighty is the best portable available in today's market". I'm not considering price, just performance.

And @biohacker, I too have found the Herbie vapor a little harsh compared to The Mighty. Maybe it's the pure convection aspect of the Herbie that makes the vapor a little hot dry and irritating.

@Chill Dude, what do you think of the vapour output of your Herbie compared to the Mighty? As a previous Herbie owner, as well as EVO, I definitely don't miss those vapes since owning the Mighty. I actually kind of consider the Mighty a portable Herbie!

I'm thinking the CU on the Mighty makes the vapour smoother/cooler than the Herbie? I just think it's alot of HOT AIR that irritates me with the Herbie, just like the EVO.

Exactly right.. I thought I was alone in thinking the Herbie is a little hot and harsh..

As to vapor output between the two, I give it a tie.. I find the vapor output to be excellent on both vapes, but with the Mighty I can take in much more vapor per draw. The CU must be working how it was designed because the vapor is as you say smoother and cooler than Herbie. Also, surprisingly, I can cash a bowl with fewer hits with my Mighty. The Mighty is solid

The Mighty sure is solid, and very efficient! Here is a vid I just shot with 0.1g of pink kush at 210c with a 60 second heatsoak after it reached temp. I used a very coarse shred with a screen placed on top instead of liquid pad. After the water tool hit, I had several more hits after, with the first two being fairly decent size followed by whispies.

Full extraction!!

Exactly the same thing I'd have said to Chill dude.
Flavourwise, my EVO or Minivap are not so much better than my Crafty, with 0% portability on top of that.
My only complaint has always been half my bowls are vaped by the unit itself since being a session vape+oven conduction as recently showed by some user's pics.

Keep in mind how pics look here vs reality...i just use a crappy iphone5 cam. Honestly, I don't even think a presoak is required. All I do is wait a bit after it hits 210c.... usually 30 secs or so, but it's completely not necessary. play with it...tried slower draws vs faster, etc.

So I had tremendous success with 0.05g and a screen! Huge hit and taste followed by wispier ones. Fogged the glass nicely too. I freaking love this thing!
