I bolded key info for those that don't like to read long posts :-)

This might seem like a weird comparison to some and I'm pretty sure I know which one would be better for me but I wanted to hear all of your opinions first.

First off, hello! I'm a new member to the forum but a long time lurker. I enjoy reading reviews and vaporizer information.

I have an MFLB which I bought last year. I love my little box; I use him every few days during the week, usually right before bed. I really enjoy the sessions I have and the technique of the box. The only real issue is that it takes a while to get where I want to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty much a lightweight. When I'm with bigger groups of people I usually smoke (just for the sake of convenience) and I'm always the first to tap-out when the bowl comes my way. But with the box once I start I usually put him down between hits to browse the computer or play Xbox and it takes a while to really get "out there" which is what I'm looking for.

With that said, I would like a portable vaporizer that hits harder (than the MFLB) but is still very efficient while be sharable between two people (I like to toke with my girlfriend on occasion). I chose the Vapman simply because of the ritual with the pre-heating, the convection/conduction hybrid (taste and efficiency), and the hits it's said to give. On the other hand, I simply can't stop thinking about the Alfa by Goboof. Just the look, simplicity of design, and automatic features really interest me.

From what you could gather in this wall of text, which do you think would be a better vape for me? I was leaning more towards the Vapman, but buying butane may be an issue if I already need an efficient vaporizer to conserve bud. If you couldn't tell, I'm not very wealthy, but I believe buying a quality vaporizer would pay for itself in efficiency.

Also, if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to give them! I can only base my decisions on the information I've read on this forum and Reddit, so I'm very open to others' opinions. I only request that it's not a plug in vape, as I'd like to have a handheld.

Thanks in advance!

Vapman basic. Butane is really not that expensive and one can lasts me a longgggg while. It will become "automatic" for you as you get used to it. It's a very nice vaporizer and if you you want, grab the Alfa later on if you can come by the funds. Vapman could be your backup. But I have a feeling it'll stay your daily driver. And it's sexy.

Awesome. Do you recommend the torch lighter that comes with the Vapman or another one? I was going to buy the Basic American Walnut set if I decide on the Vapman.

I have the pear wood basic, almost bought the basic walnut this morning but I don't wanna be too tight I funds. I actually have never used the vapman torch, but I have heard good things (in the vapman thread).

If you don't mind my asking, why buy more than one?

The Vapman lighter is probably the best torch out there. I have two and they are my best lighters.

Very nice. And compared to other torches I've looked at, it's really cheap as well!

Also, much respect @steama and @KidFated., you are both part of the reason I finally decided on a Vapman from the beginning of my search! Not trying to sound like a brownnose though...

I've read that the Solo is a longer session vape. I'm looking for somthing I can pick up whenver and finish when I please.

I think this rules out the Alfa since it's a session vape also but I've found the Vapman( the vape i'm using more than all others put together right now) also lends itself better to going ahead and finishing the load once i start, although they can be tiny loads I still get 5 or more hits and it only takes a minute or two to finish. Right now if I wanna just pull off a quick hit or two I still fall back on my Vaporgenie or even better yet my Daisy.

You can't hardly go wrong picking up a Vapman, Its one sweet little vaporizer. If size doesn't matter I would suggest you also take a look at the Daisy as these two, Vapman/Daisy have impressed me enough to move to the top of my list of favorites.

For the Daisy Triihouse even gives a FC discount(check daisy thread for link) and a 14 day trial with a money back satisfaction guaranteed policy, How do you beat that?

How long before you need to refill the Daisy bowl compared to the Vapman? I'm looking for a smaller vaporizer as of right now but I also have the Daisy, Lotus, and Enano in my sights further down the road.

I often load around .30 in the daisy and just take one or two hits every 20 minutes or so over the course of a few hours. As long as I stir between every couple of hits the taste stays consistently good (of course it changes from fresh to avb somewhat, like all vapes) until cashed. i can use smaller amounts with great results too.

Truly though i can blast through a full Daisy in a few minutes just like i can with the vapman If i'm in a hurry. Once you do a few loads and get your torch set where you want it both vapes give you great control. My general sitting back in the evening sessions run me closer to 20 minutes and 20-30 hits whether I'm using the Daisy or vapman.

Small= Vapman and not daisy for sure, She's Quite a big gal but i love her all the same.

So what are the real differences between the two, besides the sizes? I'm trying to give myself a reason to buy the Daisy after the Vapman. :D

The Daisy can be a Big hitter that from the first hit to the last you can pull huge sweet tasting clouds more like milking a water piece using 100% convection(if that really matters) hold a lot more herb and is in my thinking more suited for sharing with more then one other person then the vapman. You can easily pull those kick you in the face kind of desktop/ bubbler kind of hits with Daisy, hit after hit.

In the vapman i believe my loads are maybe .11 at most, where the daisy can hold closer to if not a hair more then a gram maxed out. ( you can still vape .10 just like 1.00, it doesn't care) Although i've found .30 or so to be my perfect 3-4 hour take-a-hit-or-two-on-the-patio-during-tv-commercials load.

The Daisy is more of a desktoplike powerhouse torch powered vape where as the vapman is truly more of a personal pocket vape.

if i'm only using a little product both give me pretty much the same great buzz off the same amount of herbs with a slight edge going to the vapman though I can't really explain how or why.

hope this make some kind of sense to ya and can be of at least a little help.

:o That actually sounds REALLY awesome. I didn't realize how powerful it was!

Maybe the Vapman is just better suited for smaller loads? Just my :2c:. :D

Thank you for the help! I'm even more interested in the Daisy now. Will be my second vape to get.

More money but from what I've read on here, the Firefly is what you want for on and off use.
