HE V3 18mm Ti Nail doesn't fit 18mm piece

Can anyone explain to me why this HE V3 18mm Ti Nail I ordered doesn't fit my 18mm water rig? The fins are less than 18mm in diameter, so how exactly are they supposed to fit an 18mm rig? Did they send me the wrong size? I'm really confused.

Did they send me a 14mm nail accidentally? I assume I shouldn't try to dab like this, right? On the site it says the nail should weigh out to 11.56g, but it only weighs out to 9.6g. I had enough trouble just trying to get this nail from USPS, now this is a whole new headache.

I would contact the vendor. Don't own a HE nail, but the ring should sit on top of the joint. No, I definitely wouldn't heat it as is.

Yeah, those fins look too small to be 19. Here's what that nail should look like.

I thought they are adjustable, and you can spin off the counterweight and put the bigger fins on...?

I sent it back and they indeed sent me the wrong fins. Pretty lame that they couldn't do the bare minimum job of sending me the right parts considering it's one of the more expensive Ti nails on the market...

I guess it's going to be a long wait too. They've had my part since last Thursday, it's Tuesday and they still haven't even began to ship back my replacement. Aqua Lab Technologies gets a big thumbs down from me. Worst service I've received since dealing with Microsoft.

That's too bad,, ALT's been good to me. They have screwed up my orders before, but so has PV, vaporwarehouse etc. When they send the stuff that's different than the order, and it's small part like fins or a rod, I push to let me keep it. I take a photo to prove the wrong part was shipped. I got the idea from PV actually because that's how they roll.

Maybe Aqua doesn't don't do that anymore, or only for the pushy folks. It's not like you're going to sell it on ebay for big bucks. It's their mistake!
