Congrads! You're gonna love Herbie!!!!

On another side note, you may never need to buy another! :o

Thanks! I better not need to because I'm not allowed. My VAS has officially been halted by hubby. I still have other vaporizers that are portables that will still be used on the go. :)

I checked my receipt, and I'm getting a limited edition too. I'm glad they still had some left. :)

@Vicki, Josh seemed like a cool enough guy.. Maybe you can chat w/ him and see if he would be willing to make a special exception for you on transferring remanding warranty , Since you are a long time, very well known, and loved member around here.. That way, it also wouldn't hurt the resale value as much, and your warranty could be legit for the remainder of its warranty period.. It seems like it could be a reasonable option, considering it's coming from one FC member to another, and every one knows everyone, pretty much.. Couldn't hurt to ask.. Considering how much the Herbie costs, I'd be pretty insecure about having no warranty at all on it..
BTW I think the Herbie is gonna be perfect for you

Well talking about difficult warranty, i bought from PV and my herbie is sick, resting in europe. I wait for him to see the doctor.

The better part is that i am happy to be the guinea pig for this.

I actually didn't buy the Herbie from the classifieds here, hubby wouldn't let me do it with no warranty. I just ordered one from the website this morning, brand new, with full warranty. :)

Even though it doesn't apply to me anymore, I think this is a valid concern for anyone that would consider buying a used Herbie.

You're going to love it, Vicki!

I was cleaning my whip this morning and forgot to remove the mouthpiece tip before drying the whip in the oven. The silicone whip is fine, but the mouthpiece tip melted. ARGH! My own fault. I'm sending Herbie's new owner a fresh whip from Herbalizer. You can still use the whip without the tip, but just remember, the tip isn't resistant to heat like the rest of the whip. Lesson learned.

I'm really loving Herbie with the whip. The bags are super cool, but I'd say I use the whip about 90% of the time. I just got done with a session. I loaded about .15g of Blue Dream started at 390F and it was flavor city. Went up to 410F for a couple long draws, then shook the bowl a little and finished off with 2 lung busting hits at 430F with fan assist to ensure full extraction. This is my typical session, a total of about 8 hits in all and I am very medicated. This thing extracts so fucking well, my ABV is always dark brown throughout. What I like about The Herbalizer is that the vapor is never harsh or irritating to the throat even at high temps. That said, when I'm at 430+ I get super expando lung busting hits which causes minimal coughing sometimes, but like I said it is never harsh or irritating to the throat. I want to reiterate that this is hands down the best vape for hitting dry at high temperatures!! I also like the fact that the bowl is super easy to clean. Just use the included brush on the screens and it's clean in 5 seconds. Super low maintenance IMO....

I picked up an extra bowl as well. It's really convenient to have a second bowl loaded and ready to go.....especially for social situations. Really happy with my purchase guys.

I think I'll try some hash on the concentrate screen later tonight as I haven't tried it yet. I have to say, I don't use any of my other Vapes anymore. Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon phase, but I think this just might be a very long romance. Sure I might have the occasional affair with my Solo, or some rough dab sex with my Dabbler or Omicron Lite, but I'll always come back to my Herbalizer because I fucking love it. Okay I'm way stoned!!

When using the concentrate pad will it gunk up the top screen? What temps are you guys using for concentrates. I'm thinking 445F and rip the shit out of it...IDK...

If it does, pop both screens out and switch them. Herbie does a really great job of self-cleaning the bottom screen!

Just keep track of which one was originally in the top. One time I did the swap, or thought I did, and was having thick milk shake flashbacks when drawing from the whip, till I realized what happened. If the draw hasn't eased up after a couple pulls, well, you may have pulled a DDave! LoL :whoa: (I put the dang screens back in their original locations!)

As for temps, that is so subjective.... it does seem that many like the range 300-445F.

Enjoy! Herbie really makes a great companion!!!

Oh, so I ordered the Herbie over the weekend. Decided the price I was getting was hard to refuse. Even at 599 my credit card got flagged I guess, and didn't find out until the next day, while I was on a date :p . Thankfully everything seems fine with the order though.

I'll be interested to see how the different temps work on bags in comparison to my volcano, sounds like concentrates demand a slightly higher temp (or the whip?).

Might take a month or so for it to come, but I look forward to trying it out. Guess I'll come back here if I have any questions ^_^ .

I feel like I have ruined my herbie by putting too much defunk on the oil pad for aromatherapy, because my bowls taste unbearably orangey, and I can't get the bowl clean

Wait, are you saying the stuff on the pad soaked through? That was always a concern for my Volcano as far as using those pads (for aroma therapy or for dabs), and, soon, my Herbie (which I actually intend to at least try it out for).

Oh! And In case anyone "really" was interested in getting the Herbie for 599 (before a 40 dollar shipping charge though :/ ) the sale I took advantage of is in its final hour at ToMo. I was tempted to try and post about it earlier and encourage people to hook me up with the referral (if they were a new customer anyway), but I figured that was against the website rules. Anyway, if anyone was waiting for some kind of deal, you got until 2PM central to jump on it! 639 total is still not half bad.

I'm not completely certain; I don't think so.
All I know is the pad is still a bit wet, and has a very stong odor; and the taste of my vapor is effected greatly. I think it's starting to give me a headache :o

Am I confused or did you put the pad dosed with defunk inside your magnetic bowl for aromatherapy?

I never felt it was a preference, given it was dictated quite literally realtive to where these things vape at, and at first I had no idea about the ABV stuff, it just seemed like it was all in all done by the time it was loose and brown (and really it is, I "could" vape it more, but I never felt like I got much out of it at that point? I guess I am surprised at the prospect that anyone does, which really isn't the case because it's not so much that people don't get to the same exact ending point, just seemingly a lot quicker at a lot higher temp, I dunno, if I ever saw a friend doing that in person I'd at least encourage him to slow it down to economize his bud more, but yeah I suppose if he had some interesting reason involving vape a specific chemical that only comes out at higher temps, who am I to argue).

I think there's been a bit of confusion over my mention of my Volcano. Yes I own one, and yes I'm happy with it, I got it because it was the best bag vape on the market I can find. But I'm not so sure that means I shouldn't consider or get the herbie. It's always nice to have a new toy, and like I said, something to use for dabs would be nice. And despite me swearing up and down on Storz's excellent valve system (and at least from afar it doesn't feel like the Herbie tops it ideally in that department), I will freely admit that owning a volcano doesn't meet "every" one of my smoking needs (mostly due to me not wanting to mess with it and dabs, but there's also a lack of direct hit). Anyway, I hardly see it as a reason to "pick" my volcano over the herbie, I'm sure they'd got along fine sitting next to each other on my shelf ;P .

To also clarify, I don't really want to use my volcano for dabs, I dont trust it to stay clean, whereas people have paid the herbie high compliments for this floating pad method that seems to vape the wax and leave nothing behind comparatively, I like that.

The Persei never rang my bell (nor did the Omicron for that matter), but I had never heard of the Cera? Anyway, I DO own an Atmos RX for oil (hits darn well compared to most other pens I've seen, although like most other pens, is rather junky). Unless you're implying the Cera hits better for dabs than the Herbie I dunno if I'd consider it an alternative? And it was aways sort of my fantasy to own something desktop style that could do dabs as well as my volcano, I feel, does dry stuff.

If the Cera could outpace my Atmos I would still be curious about that though, but that would still be more for portable stuff still. So yeah, unless there in fact is something out there that is a high quality impressive dab vape (because I still technically don't really see them), seems like the Herbie is a good vape for that too? Or am incorrect in that assumption?

Part of me also wasn't really sure if this "limited edition" was indeed a swank limited edition, or a bonafide beta test (in which case I'd be tempted to wait for one that fixes what few bugs are left). I just mentioned I had a volcano that I was happy with as the inference that I could at least wait if a non-limited (and possibly updated) model was imminent. If it's as good as people say it is I'd rather not get one and then less than a year in wish I held out. A year, I suppose, is not really imminent, especially if it's not really going to be anything more than a slightly stripped down "S" model (if we're pretending like this thing is a next gen console anyway :p ) . No one has yet to answer my question as to whether the software will be updateable, but hopefully!

And of course the only reason I'm nitpicking so hard is because at that cost, even with a discount, it's pricey, and I'd like to make sure I don't have buyers remorse, certainly not because something with a few nice to have fixes came down the pipe after from the very same place (yes, I'm making a lot of assumptions here, but I figured at this rate a lot of people in this thread may have heard where the company is going on their future releases).

Wait, you have a persei, and you aren't impressed by it for dabs at all?
I don't like it for herb too much, but paired with the hercules, when you can throw a half gram, to a gram of wax in it and just blow huge clouds for days, I love it. I use my herbie at home, and my persei on the go

yes. Was I not supposed to do that?

No, the pad doesn't go there for aromatherapy. There is a special place inside the lid to put the pad when you are doing aromatherapy.

Vicki is correct. The aromatherapy is used by placing the pad in the little spot in the front of the unit in the lid. Then you use the aromatherapy button to blow the air out that path.

Give your bowl a good ISO soak and rinse and you should be fine.

BIG no no! I suggest maybe boiling your bowl and see if that refreshes it (I don't think this will melt it), otherwise you may need to buy a new one. Herbie does not use heat for aromatheraphy, it uses a separate non heated fan. that blows through the pocket at the front of the inner lid where you put the oiled pad (there may be instructional videos for this on the Herbalizer website?).

Also, DO NOT use a pad that you used with aromatherapy oil to vaporize concentrates. The two should never mix.

I mean to say I passed on it for the same reason as the Omicron. While I heard decent enough things, I really dont want a tank that big. They seem built for people who have large access to concentrates, whereas when I pick up, I only get a couple grams at a time and use it in small pieces. The only way I'd be down to chew up more is if I get torch nail and glass setup (which I have been considering, actually).

They have cheaper, load as you go carts as well but to each their own. I love my persei for concentrates. It seems like it hits harder and tastes better than any torch setup.

well, im going to try some wax in my herbier once I get my bowl cleaned lol
I'm willing to bet it conserves, and tastes better in the herbie.

Don't get me wrong, I am looking for something out there that's better than my Atmos for discreet quality portable dab vaping, I just don't think the Persei is the penultimate version in that regard of what I'm looking for (think Pax but for Dabs, not so much in how it works but in it's build and design quality).

But yeah, I'm happy to get a desktop vape in the herbie to at least be able to do that at home (yeah I do have a Volcano, but I never felt comfortable using the dab pad on that at risk that some gooey shatter or somesuch could find it's way to the base).

My Herbie has shipped and is now in the hands of UPS. :) According to tracking, will not be here until Monday, was hoping to have it this weekend.

You know, I was having some guilt, spending so much money on a vaporizer. I don't anymore. I just found out that I have to have more surgery, that will be 3 surgeries since March. I deserve this vaporizer for a better quality of life!
