I can't even pump the power fast enough. I mean, one quick tap obliterated the wax. Seemed way too hot. Is there a difference between the kiss coils on different voltages? both mine seem to work the same with either battery.

I pre melt my concentrates and drip it onto the coil. This might be all that you need to do. I noticed that when I put shatter directly into the cart. It did not perform very good. But when I pre melted it and dripped it all over the coil. Success!!!

Picked up a beautiful matte silver Persei today. Sadly, I broke the coil on my kiss cart before I even got to use it. I'm going to try and buy some kanthal tomorrow. I am also thinking about getting a hercules. I can get a SR-71 for a really good deal, is it worth it to step up to the 74? How much maintenance does the hercules require?

Here is what @Caligula gave me about them:

I have parts for both since they are interchangeable. Really which one depends on your level of experience and how much effort you want to put in learning how to properly use and care for your device.

From a technical standpoint, the SR-71 is superior. It has less parts which need to be replaced if they wear out, and its slightly more powerful.

From a user standpoint, the SR-74 is easier to get the hang of and use without overheating your oil or needing to check different things to make sure its operating properly.

They are both great units, however Im not sure if you can even get an SR71 anymore unless its old stock from a store somewhere? I may be wrong. In either case, if you CAN get an SR-71 I say get that and then buy an SR-74 "7.4v white rod". That will give you the best of both worlds without much compromise.

Also be sure to post in the Persei thread and ask a LOT of questions. These arent easy to master but once you do, nothing beats the Hercules carts.

@c0rpse I would listen to @mutten840 seems like he could be an excellent company rep.

On a side note this ejuice tank is on its fourth fill. And tastes like the same when I started using it.

Surprised by the taste of this thing.

Side not a slight air flow issue with the rebuildable kiss cart, need to change a few more things before testing begins.

hai @THC SCIENTIFIC so you guys still have SR74 upgrade kits available? I think I'm just going to give up on running my herc at 3.7v due to the time it takes to get up and running. Usually when Im using 3.7v its cause i dont have time for heating up and puffing and cooling off and such, just a quick couple hits

@itschad have you tried the 3.7v rod with a Ti coil yet?

Sorry to jump in, but I've been rocking that exact setup for almost a week now. If there were such a thing as the Flavor Police, I'd be going away for a long time, because.....

THIS STUFF TASTES GREAT!!

The curve on heating with the black rod is much different than the white rod. It's more of a slow burn. Takes some getting used to.

I grabbed the SR-71 Herc 7.4v cart today, but I am having trouble getting it running. I understand how it works, and I am putting it together properly, but when I fire it the Persei blinks 3 times. I can't find a short. The ceramic heater is around 2ohms on my multi. Its actually measuring 2.8, but it measures .9 when you touch the leads together. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Batteries fully charged? Are you testing the heating rod itself or the assembled Herc? Does your top say V3?

Batts are fully charged. Thats the resistance of the rod itself, and the assembled unit. The top says V3.

@c0rpse does the top blink without the cartridge? and the top works with a kiss cartridge?

Also is the hercules screwed on to tight? or is there a gap? when you screwed it on did you stop when resistance was felt?

If you happen to overtighten your hercules is there an at home fix? Just curious, as I'll be picking one up in the next few days...hopefully =)

The top does not blink without the cartridge. The top worked with the kiss cartridge until I broke the coil yesterday. I broke it trying to adjust the coil because it was only heating in the center. I didn't burn it up.

Ive tried the Herc loose and tight, there is a definite gap between the tank and the top.

My multi reads 8.5v coming from the top, so I don't really have a clue what the problem could be.
