I can indeed, but there is the voltage difference which makes it difficult but I'm sure I could find one of some kind. However, I'd rather have the entire unit together with stock parts first and really get a feel for how it operates before I mod it.

I have included a bit of extra wire coming off the light bulb and heater internally in the unit so I will be able to mod, looking for appropriately sized Faston terminals to put to the end of the long wires so I can make the plug removable from the wooden unit and maybe down the line have a custom dimmer/cable setup. Either way, if I ever need to replace the dimmer again, it'll be easy as pie! :)

They are just press fit and are easily replaceable should the need arise, but they are not subject to nearly as much heat as the silicone on the arizer tuff bowl.

Sweet looking, but I use Windows Phone 8. I would prefer to have the stock and grab the Lotus I was already gonna buy to hold me over til the replacement dimmer comes. I wanna know the E-Nano as it was intended to function before I decide if/how I would want to modify this :)

However, WiFi E-Nano does sound tempting, might look into a setup like this further down the track! Will of course fill everyone here in on results if/when I do!

First I would like to state I have removed the top stock screen and the metal ring that holds the screen in place, give me as little resistance as possible. I've only used the stock stem once, and it's been inverted nano + GonG since. I don't suggest doing this as the element is exposed, but I thought maybe the ring was causing the uneven vaping.

Here is the double screen sandwich. The bottom is a nano basket, the top is a reduced EQ dome screen which is much finer than nano screen. I believe the top screen acts as a diffuser, just like the Cloud/EVO's ELB does. This also lets me shake the GonG to stir, which IMO is the major reason my GonG starts to getting clogged, physically stirring breaks the material down into finer particles for less airflow.

I place the screen inside the GonG and just shove it in with the nano.

Same results today, I swear the flavor is much improved, it evens out the heat so there isn't any hot spots. I'm guessing the stock screen does this to some extent also.

More testing is needed, for science. :science:

So I have some photos to post.
One of beauty and one of horror (avert your eyes if you're squeemish!)

First, is my lovely Purple Heart E-Nano. The photos just will never be able to do proper justice to the colour of this wood. At least not my with limited skills/equipment.

Yup, that Grand Canyon looking thing is a split :(
So about 36hrs into my E-Nano ownership I heard a sickening type of 'crack' sound coming from the coffee table area. I was like WTF and had a look around but didn't see a culprit. Until the next time I picked up the E-nano and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :puke: lol

Instantly I am thinking oh shit did I do that... I had it on 10 for ten minutes to warm up once, on 10 a few other times for short periods for concentrates, at 8-9 a handful more times but most of it's life was spent on 7.5 (preferred flower setting). I remembered hearing leaving it on at >7 may shorten the lifespan of the wood and cause a split but damn I certainly didn't expect 7.5 to crack it that quick! lol :D

Anyway Andy confirmed this was not supposed to happen and, as always delivered awesome customer support and will be replacing the body. He said mine is the very first Purple Heart unit and that perhaps PH might not be suitable for E-nano use. Since it's just cosmetic, and I am in no rush for a replacement, Andy is going to do some more testing on Purple Heart. I told him if turns out not suitable that I would take any dark exotic wood, I'm easy to please. :)

While I wish my PH was unscathed this isn't something Epicvape could have predicted and the customer service in response is as good as it gets, so I am no less happy with my little E-nano.

That crack is minor!

You fill it with epoxy sand it out and tung oil it and wipe it with a smooth cloth!

EXOTIC wood will do that!

I agree it's not a big deal & certainly hasn't slowed my E-nano usage :brow:
I think it 'felt' worse than it is because it happened so damn soon.
Had that occured in 6mo I wouldn't have blinked.

That board is so beautiful.

Seriously that NANO you have with the PURPLE HEART is beautiful!

It's a work of art!
I am a wood worker so for me to fix it would take me less than 20 minutes!

Of all my vaporizers I love the NANO the most.

The size is the best!
There are more expense units however their so big?

You have a unique piece!

I would just repair it if it was mine!
Or leave it as it adds character!

I would use some Hxtal on that actually, clear, transparent drying heat resistant epoxy and safe enough to eat off/vape through to boot! I am wondering about using it to do the same on the knots in the grain on my Maple Burl. It'll make them nice and shiny and feel level and even to hold, whilst preserving the original look :)

@ataxian, woodworking might as well be rocket science to me :) I greatly admire folks with such skills.
But it's funny you say I should keep it, that it's unique, adds character, etc... my wife was saying the same exact thing. Great minds I guess :tup:

Cant he mix some PH sawdust in with some glue or epoxy and use that to spackle the thing closed? I remember that technique from wood working class wayyyyyyyyyy back when. If you get the ratio of sawdust right it even blends in perfectly with the color.
