did I say two more?
Have to include this one so you guys understand what my childhood was like, with my brother introducing me to this band LIVE when I was 8 (edit: I was 10, it was 3rd grade. How'd they ever let me in, though? I was abnormally tall, but still. Sheesh. Maybe it was at the State Fair. That'd make more sense. Whatever. It was a mind-blowing experience. That's what I took away from my first Flotsam and Jetsam show.) and previously listening to only Christian "rock." Yes, the 80's in Arizona were this fucking awesome!:D And then Jason Newsted left and we were left with just David Spade before people thought he was funny.

I have a posting music video problem buffer....

I mostly listen to hip-hop, but these 2 artists are a lot of fun to listen to while vaped:
I like what your "About You" XXYYXX video led me to....."Ride" by Honey the Hippie

Ok, this is a MUST see for anyone who is a Jimi fan.....

"Jimi Hendrix: American Masters" on PBS.

It's a 2 hour documentary and is the best that I've ever seen done on him. Commentary by the likes of Dave Mason, Paul McCartney, Stevie Winwood, etc, etc.

If ya like Hendrix, you gotta see this.

Thanks, guys! Got it DVR'd (airing 1:30 am Monday morning here in Phx, AZ) Also, not a huge Ed Sheeran fan, but for those that are, he's got a "Live from the Artists Den" about to air on PBS in about 7mins here on Cox Cable in AZ (not that any of you are in Arizona and could watch, just don't know how PBS programming may vary in certain regions).

Edit: PLEASE READ....UP FOR GENERAL DISCUSSION
RE: IMPROVING THIS THREAD
So a few pages back I made a post that referenced Amy Grant (<== hyperlinked to my FC post). In that post I also hyperlinked Amy Grant (<== hyperlinked to YT), directing you to her "Baby, Baby" video. I know I'm not the first to discover this feature.

Today I realized that the hyperlinking of text could solve two major issues in this thread, one of which we discuss all the time: Load Time.

By hyperlinking the text (ie. "Artist - Song" as a possible standard format), we could easily click on a link that would pop open a separate web page for our videos, and I think I'm correct in believing this would reduce load times (not for the video of course, but the FC page), but please correct me if I'm wrong, Someone-who-knows-these-things! (edit: at the very minimum, as @Seren demonstrates after this post, the text need not be hyperlinked to be searchable, and we should consider doing at least this much for all videos that we embed for the reasons I state in the next paragraph...)

Secondly, this would solve a second problem that's bothered me ever since I joined this thread: unless you put a description in your post, the embedded clip is not searchable by the FC engine. This means one is unable to see if a certain song has yet been posted and avoid posting a duplicate/triplicate of the same material. This would solve that issue.

Just something I thought was worth discussing as a possible solution to keep this thread great! The only downside I've thought of so far is that there won't be the nice visual that the video posts give. But perhaps we can do the extra work of finding reasonable sized pics to accompany our recommendations? (edit: another downside I've experienced..ads. They don't seem to pop up when the video is embedded. But when opened in a new page, I get ads..even with ad blockers on (maybe I need to get off Safari:disgust:. If this is a problem that everyone experiences, though, then the load time vs. ad time might be a wash.)

Last edit then open for discussion: A possible compromise....LIMIT ONE/TWO VIDEO(s) per post, but you can link to as many others via hyperlink as your heart desires. Offending posts could be reported and truncated to the agreed upon limit by staff/moderators. What do you guys think?

Away with the fairies
I really like the idea of referencing vids posted to help avoid duplicates. I'm not so sure about posting links only though - I personally like being able to play the vids here, despite the delay encountered in loading the pages. But of course - I'd be happy to go with the flow if that's what most would prefer.

Exact same sentiment here! In fact, my first preference would be that everyone just have high-speed internet, because the experience really is better with videos embedded.

The only reason I bring it up is that a moderator recently asked me to limit the size of my off-topic pics b/c there are members here still using dial-up connections, amid other slower options, and then I realized that the load time I find slightly annoying, could be debilitating for others, especially when it comes to loading multiple embedded videos vs. loading pictures/text. Just hate to think that those people who can't access high-speed internet might be discouraged from this great thread and the musical selections within.

Edit: I appreciate the feedback, @Seren ! Was this really 15 years ago from the Sliding Doors soundtrack? Seems like yesterday... am I getting old? :myday::rolleyes:

Yet Another Edit:
And, there's a bit of a surprise (what's behind the hyperlink? "30!") kinda feel to this whole thing, don'tcha think?

Again, I'm not advocating we get rid of embedded videos entirely. This thread wouldn't be nearly as much fun then. It's one of the things that drastically improved this thread from its beginnings, IMHO. But this hyperlink thing doesn't have to be a drab and dreary "Artist - Song" format thing either, though I think we should now do that for all videos we embed. But otherwise, we can have some fun with it!

If you click on anything, click on this!....:rofl:Who likes fun. anyway, right?................ ^

In case you didn't click on the "musical selection" link above (Sumo - Percussion Baby) this is what it linked to, yet another one of my favorite songs, this time for the music as much as for the memories. It was introduced to me by an Argentine friend while we were trippin' in a radio studio with other friends, high on acid (strike that, we were on mushrooms that I had grown, how'd I forget that? Probably b/c I'd like to..ha!) and da sweetest ganja. It was a good trip! We all arrived safely. Can't afford to travel like that anymore, though. hehe:uhh:. Silly college kid!:

This took a billion edits for me to "get right." I'm OC(D) probably. Perhaps a mod can attest to this? Not because it was hard to do, it's just that...well...things get out of control!

OP Note: There are 10 11 22? videos and 3 pictures in this post. Did you find them/Can you count them all?

Billion + 1th edit (a.k.a. my final edit for this post): I guess my delivery guy was right when today yesterday he dropped of my meds and said, "Be careful with the :leaf: LSD :leaf:, it's a stronger Sativa than people think!" I was like, "Oh, I'm up for that challenge!":hmm:

alright, how do you hyperlink?
it makes sense that anything over 2 vids should be done this way and for us to label the vids.

To hyperlink: use the 9th/10th buttons (from the left!) on the toolbar...They look like a paperclip and paperclip with an X...link/unlink. Comes right after the font options.

You simply highlight the text you want to link, click the paperclip button, then a dialog box pops up asking for the URL you want the highlighted text to link to...

Am I making sense? If so, paste in the URL and click Insert!
