Discontinued The Sublimator

The little tube is awesome. I wish they used a stronger plastic...something solvent and scratch resistant would be nice, but I am not sure what the cost would be like. Would also love a little window on the downstem, if that were possible...makes it easier to see how much oil is in there.

I know they said it wasn't a pairing, but I use my Sub Buddy on the base without issue. Wouldn't want to dance around with, but it's working for me ;)

I just swing the SB in and offset the handles. The base is heavy enough, however, my only thought is of the glass joint in a metal tube..... but obviously not enough to 'not' do it eh :freak:

Yes the reclaimer will cause balance issues, especially with the aab on it!

I was thinking of drilling a carb hole into my launchtube, it's easy to replace and kind of fucked up anyways. What do you guys think?

There was a model with a carb hole in it at one time, so I can't see the issue. As long as you have the tools to drill cleanly through aluminum.

Edit: As to drilling the plastic tube, it might crack if you are not careful.

I was going to drill into the acrylic cylinder, that's the part that's already a bit messed up and easy to replace. I can't see where I would drill into the aluminum for a carb, do you have a pic?

edit: that's a good point, it would probably be a good idea to use tape for protection. If I ever do it, it's just a silly idea that's not really that necessary...

So the launchtube is aluminum huh? I always thought of it as stainless but aluminum makes more sense. I believe the mouthpiece is stainless but I've been thinking about that fv tube idea of yours.

Aluminum wha...?

My sublimator is made of stainless steel... But part of the the launchtube I would drill into is the acrylic cylinder, which is already a bit messed up and easy to replace.

The short tube I have is aluminum. As I mentioned, the plastic may crack, so it's a risk and up to you.

From PV description:

The Sublimator Base Launcher is an original authentic Sublimator replacement part for your Sublimator. Made from Aluminum, it is the base for the either the Sublimator Full length or Short tubes. Add on to your existing Adapt-A-Sub or Adapt-A-Nail kit.

If your base is a light grey, it is more than likely aluminum as well. I think the only full stainless steel was the $1200 kit, but I could be wrong.

That makes sense, the deluxe kit is probably where I got the idea that it was ss.

These don't seem to be available anymore, hopefully it's on the 'pedia for posterity!

Edit: nope, no sublimator entry at all

I was wondering if a reclaimer would cause balance issues...that being said, it would be nice to have a built in solution, considering the cost.

Well i take consideration to the weight of the product, however the custom recycler i'm getting is suppose to have the reclaimer clockwise to the body so that it doesn't extend out and knock it over by gravity.

I had my recycler to be made specifically for the reclaim and sublimator in hand (bigger bottom base and longer neck, and other little mods). Not perfect obviously (we're not scientists, we're majestic mind explorers). We're smart, if something doesn't work, we make it work!

Back to perfect!

The character marks on the lexan desk blotter are from dumping the sub and are only noticeable when I use direct flash. I just love it when the extracted material comes out in a "puck" like this!

Almost time to make some Sublimator Blackout Brownies. Got way too much ABV, vaped hash what not sitting around.

I'm doing some double deckers of wandish sublimate.

Just cranked the dial and hit 50 watts. Wonder if it had to do with the dishwasher. 43 to 50ish.

Try running it on its own breaker and tell us your results.

Would my room being 60 degrees F have anything to do with it? I'll report back with breaker results tommarow. All those double deckers have me laying in bed. That wandish sublimate tastes so amazing. If I dabbed BHO in my unit the sublimate would probably not taste as good. I really like the sublimator because it gives me at least 6 big dabs of clean su limaye a day. Maybe 12 even. Really low maintence besides having to clean the screens alMost daily.bed time subnation. Get ready to do it all over again tommarow. Sublimated

That is one reason. This is why I don't own a kill a watt. there is no such thing as a sweet spot. It all depends on the environment.

Ok i have my Sub tatoo too on the elbow! So baked that i did not avoid heavy burning myself. I now have a very precise disposition for subbing with mercury set and heavy plumber torch.

What an heavy extraction, punch in the face.

I got some PBW recently and tried using it on my atomizer bowl with great results! I filled a loaf pan with boiling water and a tsp of PBW, then put a second tsp inside the bowl itself and then let the whole thing soak for 20 minutes. Rinse, scrape and repeat 2 times and it looks like it did a better job than ISO with much less scrapping needed inside. Also made my screen look brand new too.

For anyone with a launchtube this should be a safe alternative for cleaning it.

He is gonna make some brownies out of the ABV I assume. Let us know how it is by itself!

So folks. I made "sublimator blackout brownies," and I have to say, when made with over 60 grams of abv in the magical budder device I was able to make 15-18 strong brownies. And when I say strong I mean If you eat 2-3 of them you are fucked beyond belief, but again, that was after 2-3 of the suckers. This being said im not a huge edibles fan, and my girlfriend who is a huge edibles fan got annihilated off of them. Anyway, long story short, the abv makes great brownies when made properly. Enjoy everyone.

I hope you flushed it with ISO first...golden goodness!
Sadly I didn't, just isn't worth the time for me to reclaim a tiny bit of oil especially when I usually have plenty of flowers, bubble and BHO around.

Monsoon,
lol 3 big ass brownies to get high. Sounds like you need to grind your ABV a little more to make them more potent.
