At this point do any of us have a clear understanding of how many issues exist with the Venty? This feels like it is getting weird?

I also wonder if they had to dispel EVERY SINGLE VENTY that was sold. Or if there was any unaffected lucky ones that’s get to continues using their Venty.

Seems like everyone here on FC had to do it, and I don’t think I’ve seen anyone be able to keep theirs.

So no working Ventys currently out there?

People who don't have the device, and don't intend to buy the device seem more upset and offended by what has happened than those who purchased the Venty.

I think we should dial that back. And I say that as someone who didn't buy and currently has no intent.

That was dialed back! No attacks! I'm not upset in the least, and I do want to buy one! Sell me you dead venty so I can experiment on it.
It was a serious question in the vane of the thread

...what is the going rate for a dead Venty? Dead or alive they are selling....LOL! Mine is dead...now, what do I do with the dead body? Dispose of it. Where? I think I want to keep it. The top part can be reused right? Troy and Jerry want our funny burial videos...

LOL I'm picturing Dr Frankenstien's lab with a box modded venty on the slab!! Bring it back to life with single button operation.:science:

I wasn't talking about specific users. Didn't take note of specific user names. Just a general vibe I've been getting. Seems to be a hell of a lot of schadenfreude in here.

I know many of you were using the Mighty before this fiasco...so, I took out my Mighty plus right when my Venty became deactivated. I miss my Venty so very much. The BATTERY LIFE on my Mighty is not mighty at all like the Venty. My gosh the Venty is just too amazing and I cannot wait to get one again. It is ridiculous how good it is. You cannot really compare this to anything else. Of the S&B line up...this is the BEST yet. As far as my other vapes...I never have compared my vapes to each other...because each one is truly magnificent. When I started back in the day...one of the best vapes out there was the Firefly. I remember getting that for the first time and wondering how beautiful it was, and when I could SUCK out anything...it was superb flavor. But, you had to really really suck hard! LOL! So...now, years later I try the Venty and I am wiped out. It is day and night. Even with the airflow that the Mighty has which is wonderful...the Venty is sooooooooooooooo much better! I have the beautiful TM1 and 2 and all of the magnificent glass and accessories...you name it. I love that! Then, the Tetra P80 which is a God. How beautiful is that! My Vapman's all are a work of art....made by hand. List goes on and on...all of these big or small companies trying to produce the best vapes around. It is such a great experience to handle them all and test all of them...they each are a unique experience and I have a relationship with each one in a special way because these units are helping me cope with all of my ailments. Sometimes...I just cannot explain it right. Thanks for listening. I found this forum awhile ago and I am very thankful still to be here and learn and discover. Cheers everyone.

PS At the other Forum there are photos of the inside already...

.... If taking disparate parts or ideas that people have already implemented in their respective devices and putting them together in novel and different ways is considered innovative, then why would the Venty be excluded from this definition? It clearly does things that no other vape on the market does, like a session vape that has a 20 second heat up to near maximum temperature along with battery life that's better than most devices outside of semi-portable units like the MiniVap. 8-12 sessions per charge and the ability to clear quantities nearing 0.25g in under 2 minutes including heat up time while using the device natively is pretty unique as far as the current vape landscape goes....
I have nothing against the Venty or S&B. I don't own any of their vapes but I can see that many on the forum stand by them for their reliability and efficiency.

I don't think the paragraph above though is completely valid. I own an AVLP that can clear 0.25g in under 2min including heat-up time while using it natively and it pre-dated the Venty. I don't own the TM2, or Roffu either but from what I've read they're also both capable of this just off the top of my head, probably even the FF2 can do this so I don't think it's "pretty unique".

Adding 2x18650s gives it impressive battery life (not innovation per se) but I would say only when you add the adaptive heating via flow control, user flow control and massive 130W power ceiling, then yes I would say all these things are new and pretty unique. Of course there are always tradeoffs for performance and I guess the Venty's increased size compared to other portables is one of them. :2c:

Hello...my two cents. I am such a big fan of the ALP...it is in its very own right...a beast. Messy and all, I love this vape...the flavor it produces is untouchable. Now, there is a HUGE difference in the airflow...HUGE. Did I say huge? I have many ALP and the Steampunk which was my daily to go. Since Venty...there is no other vape like it. I was always impressed with the Pro's speed...also, the company! They had issues with their capsules...the manufacturer made them incorrectly. Airvape took care of their customers like they always do. I really do not think that there is other than the Volcano...airflow and battery life like this. The Venty is fierce.

Kind of sad to see this frustration and disappointment in those that were just so happy with it.
Disappointment, yes, understandably... but frustration, no way! Frustration is having to be jerked around about it.

Anybody know what I’m doing wrong? Previously connected before doing factory reset.
You're using the OTHER app... there are two, one is the utility and the other is the "Fix Update". I made the same mistake over and over until I realized the are two different links/portals

Do you care to explain? I feel like I’m missing something. Is the link provided in the email, “https://fix.storz-bickel.com/,” no good? I’m using Bluefy on an iPhone

@WirtDog @Jojofernz please tell me how much are you looking forward to trying the Venty ?
I have not lost faith in S&B but current Venty issues are concerning? It is concerning to me that they probably have lost management control. I'm not sure we even have a list of all Venty problems and this process to disable customer units without explanation is not confidence building? S&B has done some great work! I hope they can get a good handle on this situation.

It will be hard for me to duplicate the process since I've already bricked mine, but I do know that the link above is different from the link used to pair and alter device settings. One was done and then the other needed to be done after the fix. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
