I'm a big dumb dumb.
So having properly examined the spent bowl i have found that;
a)It was charring but not full combustion (Still something i want to avoid as its still technically combustion) and,
b)In my excitment i way overpacked the bowl so it's completely on me.

Being an MV1 owner I'm used to waiting for the vibration before drawing. it was deffinetly me packing the bowl too much i think.

Easywider

Simple is the way
I could design a piece to be printed, but what material would you use? The regular polymers are out because of the temps, maybe some high temp resins? Could go Shapeways metal but that get's pricey.

What about ceramic? I thought the Firewood 6 oven was printed ceramic. hmmm :thinker:

Dont start drawing before the buzz,if you do that it ramps maximum wattage to compensate and overshoots. And also you should wait a bit when you change the temp,i dont remember why though.
Some people report a bit of variance in calibration. That they get great clouds at 2-3-4,maybe they just start drawing before the buzz ;),
You will be surprise how some chinese / conduction vapes give people the wrong idea about what should be a decent vaping temp :)). They state certain temps while those are just preset power levels.
I have notice something else lately .. Even though TUBO/Tetra line is calibrated too,you i see how many people will tweak theirs resistance because 175 or 190 C doesnt feel to what they are used to in their mind, and also forgetting to add the fact that this is temperature of the coils ,not the bowl.
So i would advise anyone before trying to change the stock settings on both devices,to think about what is what and also analyze the usage pattern.

Man...that is an awful lot of stuff in the vapor path you have added.........can you tell the diff between strains?
For sure you can tell the diff between strains, the difference it’s just like using the Mighty with or without capsule. You lose some flavour (and add some aluminium flavour) for the convenience of using capsules. I was surprised how l could not taste the wood. For best flavour load the stem. You decide!

I noticed that with at least 1 Vtc6a out of my 4s , at the Batteries Buzz of 3 creates its last session. At the 2nd battery buzz I wanted to start another session and the TM went straight out. Some others do manage 1 session with the 2nd Battery buzz. It may be that 2 others can do a little more, I want to look at this. Unfortunately, not all my batteries have the same mAH value.

Same here with the battery that came with TM.

Between both your posts it sounds like there was just some uneven heating which caused a dark spot? If you packed tight and had your load close to the heater i.e. no gap at the front of the glass stem that wouldn't help things but at level 6 you should still be ok. Your unit might be running a little warmer than some as well. There is a way to calibrate the Tinymight warmer or cooler but that should be a last resort and although it's been discussed on this thread I would email the maker before you go that route.

@Bazinga Buy another for sure, she's a keeper if she snatched your Tinymight, she has good taste. Thats why she's with you right 😉?

Oh here is another great tip that is good to have on the first page, aftermarket basket screens!

These for the stock stems:
cup screens for O ring stems : MistVape™ Online Store
Just wanted to add here that I ordered these and they arrived yesterday. They do not fit the stock stem as-is - the diameter is a bit shy. I used a dowel to spread it out enough to grab the inner wall of the stock stem, but the contact was still weak enough that the basket would "spin" as it was pushed down the stem. Is there a secret to using these?

On the other hand, I bought some from this ebay seller: everythingmustgoco (look for the 6mmx12mm "bowl" screens). They are a bit taller, which is better when you flatten the dome - they don't "spin" and have a stronger structure.

Just another data point...

Ah to be honest I actually haven't tried them myself, @Siebter had confirmed their fit in the past, but we know how there can be some variance so perhaps that's why?

@SquirrelMaster i've been using it all day at 2-3 and getting similarly sized clouds as i get out my MV1 but without the annoying 15 second draw. I fucking love the instant vapour out of this.
It was a black ring, deffinetly due to uneven heating. i do think mine might be running hot but its working perfectly for me at 3 so im probably not even gunna fuck with it quite yet.
I dont leave a gap when packing at all though, i pack level with the lip. Should i be leaving more of a gap?

I don't think those („cup screens for O ring stems“) were the ones I was recommending (can't quite tell, there's no photo or specs), I have →these, and they actually fit perfectly.

Ooooooh whoops!

Those are the older size, 14mm stem cup screens, but they are actually an even narrower diameter than the imp cup screens so I am confused hahaha

Is it too hot or not enough air flow? I would think at that low of a temperature, no or little gap would be fine but that may even bother some for whatever reason. I started without any gap but also started using my Tinymight on 5. Now I start no lower than 5.5 and finish higher (in more ways than one  - the TM rocks every time!). I also keep a small gap which may be more appreciated at higher temps. Lots of versatility and options with the Tinymight.:peace:

I'm pretty sure that it's running a little hot or maybe too hot for my personal tastes. I loaded another couple of bowls with the most minimal packing, basically just 'sucking' the herb into the bowl and had similar results at 5 with the charred ring but found that at around 3 i get no charring and waaay more even toasting with a very even and uniform golden brown without stirring. I will try leaving the stem around 1cm from the bottom on my next sesh to see if that gets me more even toasting at higher temps.

If worse comes to worse i will just open it up and check the pot for any issues.

I don't know, this sounds normal to me, how hard are you ripping it? How is your draw, slow steady inhale or fast heavy hit? That can affect "hotspots"

Aside from adjusting that, yeah I would say use settings lower than 5, I sure ride those low settings a lot myself... good, even extraction temp stepping.

I would not mess with the technical stuff or assume your unit is running hot (especially if you never used another TM unit before to compare?)

After my first hit i realised this thing can hangle fast draws as its so quick off the mark. I'm ripping it fast and hard and it has no problem keeping up. I'll just have to experiment a little bit to find my personal sweet spot of temp setting and distance from bowl to heater.

Only had my TM half a day, but so far pretty impressed. More so to how tiny this vape is with the short stem. The CU is really simple but works great, easy to dismantle & maintain. It can give huge rips for it size, its pretty much half the size of the Z + mod and fits really well in the hand.

Ive been vaping at 3.5-8.. much prefering the lower temps without water. Settled at 4-4.5 for now, I find im killing off a bowl in 3-4 hits. It does get quite warm.

The build quality is pretty decent, I think its very fair for the price.

The Z i've finally got dialed in on the DNA with TC, and through water I havent quite been able to match it flavour wise, yet.. Although quite liking this just with the original stem :) It fits in very well with the RBT vapes and Vapcaps
:yep:
.. And pefect for stealthy portability.

This is how im packing my stem.

Exactly what I thought, sure it can keep up, but you're going to get more uneven heating and hotspotting scorch ring like you described... that's why I was saying it sounds totally normal and not running hot, when you rip it like that it's not going to extract quite as even is all, unless you stick to the lower temp settings... You will try adjusting distance and how you pack, but I think you will find more success with adjusting how you draw. It's early, takes time to get to know something new!

When someone makes a wpa that is a 14mm male......then things change!

I am excited to be ordering a 18female to 14male adapter soon... I was using the imp 14mm wpa with a bit of silicone, but I would feel better using the proper 16mm diameter stem and larger basket screens like my RBTs... My order also includes some other custom ideas from Oregon Glass Blower, so I will of course be reporting back how well they work, and what the options are for other tinymight owners... I am ordering one of his 18mm female j hooks customized along with 18mm female right angle whip adaptor (to try using like a micro j hook, 18m female bent stem mouthpiece)

Funny......he just sent me a 9 inch straight 14m mouthpiece for my Herborizer XL. and a longer 14 j-hook. Cant wait to get these 2 pieces. I should of asked him about making a RBT type short stem with a 14mm instead of the 18mm. Though it will not be a straight shot path......the reduction pinch should not be too bad of effect I would think.
