TinyMight / TM 2

Siebter

Less soul, more mind
Still can't work out why my vape is wispy; it used to be billows at 3-3.5, now I have to go to 5 to get anything even remotely substantial.

Hm, „billows at 3-3.5“ is rare for me – definitely possible, no doubt, but then I'd expect every variable to be set to „clouds“, which might not always be possible. What I mean by this: you will probably have this experience again at some point and when you do, you might have a better idea why it worked this time. I mostly start at 5 or 6, actually 6 is where the fun part of the session begins. But that's just me (=how I pack, the strains I use, the way I draw, how I grind etc.). Unless I missed something the TM is still new for you, give it a little time. To start a session at 5 is totally okay, 5 more steps in front of you. :-)

Edit: if I were you I'd ask the maker for a spare screen.

This is what temp stepping to about 9.3 gets me when using the dosing capsules. After 6 potent draws it came out well roasted but no evidence of burning.

The material on the cu screen is the buildup of bits pulled through 3 capsules.

I’m not totally thrilled with the process of using sb capsules - you really need to be cautious when inserting the stem, for me that means putting a depth marker on the stem; the capsules have to be dropped in and they tend to roll over in the chamber on the way down. My gasket puts enough friction on the stem to make me drop the capsule sometimes when the stem suddenly releases. Even with those problems I like using capsules far more than direct loads or basket screens. It wouldn’t be hard to design a near perfect capsule solution for this little marvel. I think you could take a bottom section from a CU and make just a few design tweaks to create an in-stem capsule that couples to the bottom of the CU when slid into the stem

Great tip on the depth marker, my dumb as needs this. I've had the same experience with the S&B capsules, Even though they are annoying and potentially dangerous for the TM they work just as well as they do in the mightly. Leaps and bounds better then the mistvape capsules I tried.

One thing you can do to make inserting them a bit easier is push your CU down father so it protrudes out of the stem a little bit. You can then take the cap off your SB capsule and place the capsule on top of the CU lip. This will keep everything in place when inserting it.

I know capsules aren't for everyone, for me they are the best to vape during those days when I just don't have the luxury of a spare 10seconds to stop and look at what I'm doing when I need some goodies.

That looks like a fun piece but what’s it actually like to hit with a vape?

With Tiny Might, I get two solid milky draws and a third clean up hit. I eventually arranged the stem so all glass except screen. Super heavy hitter on level 7. Clearing this thing a couple times put me on my ass and I'm not really a light weight....

Easy to hold with one hand and operate carb. Other hand operates vape.

Hello,
I received my tinymight a week ago. And I really love. And i have many other vapes.
The taste is really good on the first draw for sure. The other draws are good too...fast extraction though...what I love.
I am not so much a temp stepper. I used it on 7 now. Haven't tried it higher than 8. I just realize.
Below 6 it was to whispy for me.
The electronic buzzing sound is not such a pain in the ass like with the mv1. But still, I don't like it.
I was building such a cork cap for the stem yesterday :)
The small size of it is fantastic. It's the only convection vape, that is that good and so small, I think.
Yeah, till now I always used a none rimmed basket screen in front of the cu as a Filter. Perfect....
So, no temp stepping. But stirring after 2 hits on 7 to get another good hit (with a small load)
I really like the tinymight!!?

Ah I tried to use it with a rbt wpa stem. But ii was not working. Just whispy vapor. I don't understand why...

Maybe wasn't a full seal with the RBT stem?

Bought 12mm rimmed dome screens. Fits perfectly with the TM stem, but doesn’t slide into the tm very smooth and when I went to pull it out it was left at the bottom inside the unit. I thought I saw members using these no problem...what am I doing wrong.

Yes, hmm maybe. I should check again. But my feeling was, that it was full seal...

Or the screen? What basket screen?

No that is accurate to what I've read from other people who tried using them...

@murf2010 - Are you just inserting them into the end of the stem before putting it in the TM? It will often stay inside when you pull the stem back out.

I just got some rimmed .5" (~12.6mm) basket screens to do the dzoinp mod, which solves that problem. Worked great!

Edit to add: I did have to modify one of the rimmed dome screens so it would slip into the stem all the way to the rim without binding. I did this by going around the screen beneath the rim with pliers, gently squeezing to make the dome as narrow under the rim as it is furthest away from the rim.

I had to do that because when I first did the dzoinp mod, the stem would bind halfway onto the dome screen and push the stock heater screen out of the bottom of the ring, potentially touching the coil.

I insert the dome screen in the stem before pressing into the unit. When finished I’ll pull it back out and it’ll fall out as there’s too much pressure or restriction against the rim from the inside of the unit

yes some of these screens are bullshit
The ones I used were not necessary because they were very well pressed
But thankfully you posted that detail and the mod is useful for you

Prall durch's All!
Just wanted to rapport that my TM has arrived in Tasmania. 7days from Finland to the doorstep is super fast. And a nice surprise because there was no tracking.

First testings will start soon. But the first impressions are, it lives up to it's name.

I still have no idea how some are able to use rimmed dome screens just fine...

what can I do? I’m facing the dome inward to cap the stem so it can’t push anything out of place.

If you don't want to do the dzoinp mod, then perhaps you need to do the opposite to your rimmed dome screens than I did: enlarge the dome to increase the diameter so it will fit more snugly in the stem and stay in when you pull the stem out of the TM.

Or I could send you some of the ones I just got. They fit very snugly in the end of the stem. If you send me your address in a Private Message I'll send a few right out to you (I'm not a psycho killer I promise).

I used a none rimmed basket screen in my rbt wpa stem. Inserted it into to stem just at the front. So I just filled a small amount of herbs, just to fill the basket screen fully. Actually the the herb was green in the middle and just at the edges brown. So must me the airflow, that just moved along the sides. Because of this just whispy vape...
How can I do it better?
Pushing the basket more into the stem and then more herbs!?
I can't do that much testing during the week...

A basic non-rimmed basket screen...aka a domed screen....will not work stock in the RBT stems. You need to reshape them a bit. They need to have a 90 bend at the bottom to create a large sidewall to make contact on the glass. Use the end of a 14 male joint to form the bottom...then use something to make a dent inward on the bottom to add strength to the 90 bend area which gives the sides of the screen more strength to hold in place better. After you build up some gunk on the inside...the screen will hold better. Just be careful stirring.
