Home Vape Suggestions

Hi all!

I'm hoping I can get some vape suggestions! :)

I'm looking for a home unit. Something easy to use, easy to clean, that delivers smooth & powerful hits, with phenomenal flavor. I feel like my best options are probably: Cloud Evo, Volcano, HerbalAire, or New Vape FlowerPot. I'm also open to any other suggestions.

At the moment, I exclusively use flower, but am open to some concentrate use, as well.

Of the vapes I have, I find myself most often using my Mighty, in the 170-180 degrees Celsius range. (Around 335-360 degrees Fahrenheit). I really enjoy the flavor at this temp, with the Mighty, and find I get good vapor production. I do tend to crank up the temp at the end, to try to extract as much as possible, but the hits at higher temps with the Mighty, often bother my throat. I do wish that it was easier to clean/maintain the mouthpiece.

I appreciate your input! :)

Check out a log vape, namely the supreme Ed's TnT Woodscents. You'll love the efficiency and convenience. Also it is a great way to enter into the Dynavap universe.

I can also vouch for the FP. The things kicks butt. Now, I like the HerbalAire a lot, but I think anyone with a brain will prefer the Flowerpot.

Hi Slagzord!
Thank you for your reply!!
I've actually never tried a log, or e-nail type device, so I'm thinking that should be my next step.
The FP does look AWESOME, and I'm glad to know that people prefer that over the HerbalAire, cuz now I can knock the HA out of the running. :)

I've tried DynaVap's VapCaps, and really like them a lot. I used my Ti XL ALL the time...until I lost it lol.

I've been really focused on flavor, lately, though...and even though I get great vapor from my vapcap, it doesn't have the uniform flavor profile that I've been craving, and getting from the Mighty.

I think I would love the FP, but some reviews did say that there was a metal taste/signature with the vapor.
I've never used it, so I don't know how prominent the metal is, or how tasty the vapor is otherwise. But other than that, it does seem like a phenomenal vape.

You've inspired me to do some more research on Ed's TnT Woodscents.

The other new one that came up, that I had never heard of before, is the Herborizer! I'm about to go find some more info on that one, as well.

Thanks again, Slagzord!! :)

If anyone has any pro's/con's/preferences between these, it would be a huge help!
Now I'm looking at: Herborizer, FP, Ed's TnT WoodScents, Cloud Evo, & Volcano

If you're after flavor, I'd suggest knocking the Volcano off the list. Bag vapes are never going to be equal to direct draw for vapor, they're great for easy use, indoor portability and sharing but not taste.

I haven't tried the other 4 but for ease of use I'd say Ed's is top of the list since you can just fill a cap, stick it in and draw. Also smaller than all the others and more versatile, though the vapcap tip isn't a big deal since you already have one it does mean you have some new stems to play with.
Herborizer and FP both need bongs to function as does the Evo although it has it's own and glass dry mp too.

Thank you, Skunkport! Your comment help me finalize my decision to knock the volcano off the list. I'd like one in my repertoire, eventually, but I think I'd like to try something else, first.
I've been reading up on the logs, and will definitely be getting one of Ed's woodscents, the moment $$ allows. When I was first checking out reviews, I thought I didn't care about the wood, and that I just needed it to work...but they look beautiful. lol & I dunno, something about being able to vape out of ancient materials...I like it. I need one haha
Some have said, though, that they're better for a 'low-dose' session, or 'quick hit', than for a heavy user, or for multiple users. Do you think that's true?

Thank you! The Plenty does keep coming up in my searches, and it's more affordable than most of the vapes I've been looking at. And I've heard that it hits like a beast, every time.

Best flavor is subjective, but the Flowerpot is legit!
You're absolutely right about flavor! And yes, I would say that out of all of the research I've done, the FP definitely seems to be the most popular. Did you happen to notice any metal taste, with it?

I really need to stay away from this site, because I get such intense VAS hahaha

(BTW, I think when I originally wrote HerbalAire, I actually had the Herbalizer in mind lol)

Thanks again, everyone! 'talking' this out really helps me see the aspects I'm missing, and figure out what it really is that I need and am looking for. Everyone here is so helpful, and always has awesome suggestions and ideas that I probably never would have considered.
You're awesome!

I never really noticed a metallic taste with the Flowerpot, I do prefer a glass bowl with it though, it does feel slightly smoother and tastier to me with the glass bowl.

For some reason I seem to notice titanium flavors more with concentrates than flower. I used to have a Showerhead, I have a VROD now.

I don’t notice a clearly recognizable metal flavor with the FP either, and while a few people have said they do, at least some of them have been fine after picking up glass bowls.

When I get around to ordering glass bowls I expect to notice a difference and it might make me clearly identify a metallic taste, but at least so far it’s not an issue for me.

Most of the things we’re using have metal, plastic, etc. in the heater and/or vapor path, so unless you want to narrow your search to all-glass heaters and vapor paths I wouldn’t expect a 100% pure taste.

A FlowerPot with a glass bowl is already an all glass vapor path too, just the heater is Grade 2 Titanium.

Hi. Many good ideas here- Also want to mention the Venus Helios.
Hi Vapeur! I haven't even heard of that one, yet, so I will totally check it out. Thank you! :)

Hey inverted! That's good to know, thank you! Since I use mostly flower, I think I would still get the shower head, but with a glass bowl

Thank you for your input, VaporWare! i'm really curious to know if you notice the difference, after making the switch to the glass bowl. Either way, most people don't seem to notice it, so if it is there, I guess it must not be that strong.

The FlowerPot is a great way to control VAS.
YaMon, I think you're right! I have to get one, it's a done deal lol
My circumstances have changed, unfortunately, so I can't get one at the moment...but I'm gonna do everything possible to make sure I own one within a year. :)
Man, I wish I could have it NOW! :'( lol... but maybe Black Friday 2019!

Volcano is not easy to clean, it has been harsh on my throat every time I used it (as every dry vape I used, I like it water filtered to make it smooth).
Also if you put enough in it to make powerful hits, it would make too many of them and would be for many people. If you wanted to use it solo, you would have to put less in and it will make many weak hits that will be enough for one person. I think Volcano is best used as a part vape, especially with a bigger bag.
I have an E-Nano and VapeXhale EVO and both of these check all of you requirements. EVO is even more luxurious and powerful, but more expensive and fragile.

Just a few added thoughts-
I have an Underdog, and one of Ed's log vapes, and E-Nano, Heat Island, and Musa on my shopping list. If it has not been said prior in this thread, it has been said elsewhere on FC, that most of us could benefit from owning at least one log vape.
