Discontinued The Grasshopper

Old & In the Way
a few months later I lost my GH while on vacation. I ended up buying another one. My old hopper is either in CA or OR not sure where?
I hope it has been taken in and is cared for by a loving family. Your consolation may be that it's at least in a legal state and not just so much 'contraband'.

Perhaps HL should set up a lost/found hot line for Hoppers (with reward goodies offered!), using serial #'s as folks do now with chips in their pets (and kids ?!?!).
Great promo idea, ya hear that HL?

Have you checked the website recently? See my post above yours which seems to strongly suggest that the warranty is NOT transferrable but I would love to be proven wrong as I would be interested in purchasing a used 'hopper as a backup to my current one when it inevitably breaks.
Me and others have transferred the warranty, it is transferable.

Ive been tempted to approach HL in a “calling out” confrontational manner after reading some people’s reports of success in this approach. I did refrain from being rude but politely but firmly requested a firm update on my SST order.

While I am hesitant to get my hopes up for more positive customer service or my order in particular, it did seem to be an improvement. I sent on Friday and received the below on Monday morning:

“Thanks for checking in and for being understanding about the delays. You ordered on March 2nd so your order will ship in the next 5-12 days depending on the speed of manufacturing. Feel free to check in again around that time. I have also added a leather sleeve to your order free of charge to help make up for the delay.

Thanks,
Hopper Labs Support”

Here’s to hopping, er hoping!

A warranty dose not mean jack $%^& when it takes 6+ months for a repair. @deadlytoaster I really wish I listened to everyone else who told me not to buy a grasshopper. And that's what I would recommend to you to do. Use your money on a vape you know is going to start up when you want to use it.

I’d give my eye-teeth to know how many people have been burned by Hopper Labs. But you sound like me...just extremely disappointed after the purchase of a Grasshopper.:bang:

I'm glad for the people receiving communication and better yet devices, but damn :bang:

RMA initiated 11/22, received at HL 12/3, and I can't get a reply and I'm a couple of days from being 5 MONTHS into this.

I stopped being disturbed a while ago, but it's coming back again :goon:

Just don’t feel like the lone ranger...there’s lots of us here that feel the same way.

I can’t help but get the impression that Hopper Labs will continue to be un-accountable and irresponsible until Paypal dumps them. It’s just really hard to understand why Paypal would support a vaping business that’s failing everyone but refuse to do business with all the other very responsible vaping businesses. :2c:

I certainly understand frustration levels, but all along with HL it's been a 'buyer beware' situation. Anyone doing the slightest research before purchase would know this. I feel sorry for a lot of folks and their delay/dissatisfaction stories. I personally tried to cut loose of the $ and the expectations on the day I sent in a pre-order (and it was several hundreds of dolllars). I've lost more $ than that on stupider things. Diving into Hopperland was another day at the races.

I don't lose sight of the fact that there are many Hoppers now in use in the wild and that I still have a lifetime warranty and a lot of patience. I'm fortunate to have working pieces right now, but it's only due to my long-endured, forced break; I'm sure I'd be using a different vape right now if I were using any at all! I've never relied solely on a Grasshopper, any serious vaper would have to be nuts to do that!

There are two other FC threads for Hopper discussions, both were set up as much to receive complaints as to inform about anything, both have been dormant. Maybe some of the discussion in this thread could return to 'how to use/enjoy' the thing and the less practical, more emotional side of things could be taken up in these threads?;

Toronto Hemp Company (my go to brick and mortar store) seems to be selling off their inventory while HL is still a float...

The interesting thing is that they apparently have them in stock.
Idk about 'selling off their inventory'; while a nice price it doesn't seem to be as good (what? about 18% discount?) as the HL direct purchase discounts have been twice this year (35% and 25%).

All their prices on accessories look like they come out higher than HL direct prices. But I'm only looking at CAD vs USD exchange rates, not taking duty/tax into account.

Well, I guess I'm a bit confused...ordered 2 Mar, Hopper says 5-12 days, and its now May 1st.

Did you get your GH???:hmm:

For what it's worth my order was also March 2nd, electric blue Ti, and they said 2 weeks ago it just needed final assembly and should ship soon. Yesterday they told me it should ship in 5-7 days. I expect to follow-up with them next Wednesday unless they actually do ship before then.

Do you mind sharing why you've been on such an epic break, given that you're clearly still entusiastic about vaping, based on the fact that you're still here :) (if you'd rather not share that's cool, obv., just ignore)

Sounds good to me. Though it does seem like most of the people around here who like their GH is waiting for it back at the moment.

I generally run mine on 5 with a PFE through a small dry glass piece, at the moment. It's pretty hot, but I prefer dry glass, and my lungs and throat are good, so I just take it. Rawr :p As the only other vapes I use are vapcaps, the chamber size is much bigger, so with my low tolerance and good quality cannabis one full bowl has quite the effect. It's my "oh, go on then, it's [some excuse day/time]" option.

I'm thinking of getting high CBD low THC cannabis soon. Has anybody run that sort of thing through the GH? Any tips on temperature, flavour, or anything else? I've only ever used "normal" cannabis previously. I imagine it might be like decaf coffee, still most of the enjoyment of the ritual and good vibes, but without much change in my thought process. I don't use cannabis for any health issues, generally.

It's a long, sorry ass'd story, one I'm not at liberty to go into detail on. A court proceeding is at the base of it, lawyers, other assholes and questions about my 'integrity' (HA!). Eleven months ago I willingly subjected and tested positive and have agreed to keep a clean scene for, well, I can't exactly say, nor do I know, how long this will continue. No high risk of going to jail or anything, but my actions could affect the lives of some other folks, so I walk the line.
Does this all piss me off? Yeah, pretty much, but I'm over it.
If nothing else, it's an interesting exercise and the main notable break of my past 48 years on the planet.
I was wondering if I'd start to feel smarter or somehow sharper over time but, nah...

Sorry to hear that bud, got a friend who went through a nasty t-break due to a divorce. It was held over him and he had to quit vaping in order to get joint (no pun intended) custody.

Hope it all sorts itself out soon and the HL are back on track so you get to enjoy the full use of your Hopper.

You're aware of the Hoppers capability as micro dosing device? You can put in less than would fit a vapcap and just clear it in one toke. Do I miss that thing...

Yeah, I know, and I do use it like that sometimes, and it works well for me. But using it to capacity is also fun (and is a different experience to what I can get from my vapcap) :)

@vapviking I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, but you're a hero for sticking to it for the sake of others. Best of luck with it shaking itself out in due course. You'll be in my thoughts x
