Do the new adjustabowls have the lip for allowing the use of the arizer screens to seat? Trying to decide between these new adjustabowls or going with the hemp handle bowls or even the stubby. I think I would be microdosing the majority of the time. Thanks guys and gals for all your guidance!

Almost there...
What do you think @lazylathe ? :rofl:We must be doing it WRONG!

The S3 vapor for me was also a lot thicker and denser. I think it is from the way it is heated with the torch. You are not only heating the block but everything, herb included.
This gives off a lot of conduction, convection and radiant heat.
The vapor was always a bit cooler with the S3.

The SH was "airy" for me as well, kind of hard to explain.
The hits look thick and delicious bit it takes a lot more to get the vapor flowing and thus you take in more clean air at the start than vapor.
With the S3 the vapor is there as soon as you inhale.

As i have said before they are different beasts!
For me i love the OGFP with the slight draw restriction and it is on everyday!
I packed my S3 away due to inconsistencies with heating etc... It's either too cool still, too hot or just perfect. Too many variables for my liking!

Whenever i get a new vape my consumption soars with the Space Station...
The OGFP and SH were like this but now i have them dialed in and set to stun!
Same story when i received my S3...

Hence the switch to the OGFP and it's digital controller!
I do not care what "temp" i set it to, i go by the vapor and ABV color (although this is the worst way to check for performance imo). In this way i replicate sessions consistently from day to day.

Vapes are like gambling! You never know what is going to happen until you try it out!
Some win, some lose... Or just get put into occasional rotation!

Off to clean my RooR and get it on with the OGFP!!!

I just drop my draw to be as low and slow as possible to get things started and BAM! The vapor rolls in just like that.
Yeah I find the only time I have to worry about breath control with the showerhead even a little bit is at the start of my draw. If I want to savor the flavor for a couple of hits I just let it rip from the start but still get massive clouds no matter what.

The FP seems pretty primal like fire to bowl really! I love that part and so do my sons. I found it funny they are smokers but kept coming into the vape room and literally fogged out the downstairs overpowering the glade plugins for hours. Glad no squares came over :D

My combustion friends love the showerhead because is pretty much “fire to bowl” with nothing extra to fiddle with.

With the showerhead it’s load bowl, place showerhead on bowl and rip it!!! I do have one buddy that barley fires the perc on the bong and I have to lower my standard temps for him.

Okay I finally got around to making a function video of the new TAG rig I grabbed. Not a massive load, just a smallish one at 695. Enough to give you an idea of how it works.

Took a larger hit and got the full can in the frame

Really really happy with this rig for the FP. No restriction like the egg.

Couldn’t resist so ordered myself a Shovelhead, double weave screens and the universal carb cap. Didn’t really need it but you know how it goes. With the discount I can almost justify it.

I see most of you are running with 600+ temps. Anyone else still running sub 600? I am vaping my herb and rosin at 580 and I love it. There is a tiny bit of pooling with the rosin but the herb comes out toasted. I am using the carb cap.

I'd normally be at sub 600 temps, and yeah, around 580 too. Currently loving 635f tho, the carb cap that I've shoved the extra holes in appears to have stabilised temps, no matter the draw strength. I cant over power the SH draw speed any more, but I also cant feel any restriction when permacapped. That theres now a big difference between 635 and 640 is a surprise.

I still havent checked with the temp probe tho, so I still dont know if my interpretations are correct.

For me to achieve full extraction (on small loads), with the cap, I need to be around 700-710. I was doing this testing last night and need to do more but on those 600-650f hits, I'd suck the ABV out with my Vapcap and got at least 2-3 hits everytime. On 710f, I could get full extraction in one go for .03g (I always smash and stir to finish it off but the 710f loads would be spent).

Really wish there was a funnel insert to do some playing around with. I find the majority of less Vaped bud to be the material closest to the edge.

With larger loads, the lower temps work better although I am also stirring every couple of hits.

Edit: I'll do some permacapped 635f testing tonight though. I do tend to like things hotter but really, I just want full extraction. :)

I think that first sentence is something Im just going to have to face up to. I use slightly larger amounts than a lot of ppl so its much easier to get those thick, vapour results.

Letting the cap and head equalize in temp first, makes all the difference here (i think :) )
