...how Ava said...a DabBulb would be nice ;)
The DabBulb is such a beautiful piece of kit. It would be an amazing center piece to any group sesh. However, in most of the footage I've seen there's a good amount of material dripping through the bottom and I die a little inside. I know most of that footage is massive dabs at a super low temp, but I feel like the design would really benefit from having a section at the bottom of the coil with a slight incline to hold the remaining material. You'd have to throw some pretty stupid sized dabs at it for it to block the pathway so I don't see it being a problem.

Hey @Hogni, where did you see one for $800? I'd be interested at around that level... It'd be an awesome looking setup w/a HexNail, a plasma and a DabBulb for sure! Help me out @Hogni & I promise, I will post many awesome pics of the combo! Thanks in advance for the help w/finding it! Where/who has them at that price?

Sorry for late reply, I've read this somewhere on a forum. A user posted that he has bought a Cheech Glass Plasma Bong for $800. So I posted this price as the lowest I've ever seen.

Thanks @Hogni! I remember those from CHEECH a few years back....I wish they had made more! There was a guy with a website dedicated to plasma functional but he went out of business. Seems like this is not gonna be easy!

As an e-nail user for quite some time now I sort of live by a code that requires a drop down. The DabBulb seems 100% perfect for a claim catcher. That little jar at the bottom would get sooooooo freakin' dank so fast and then you just dump it back in the top. Mmmmmm...

(I emptied like a half gram or so out of one of ours the other day. Small clean-out but we ran out of everything but Indica. Haha.)

I'll definitely give n3rd a nod. Love the piece we have of his (which was a gift from our best customer ;)).

Oh yeah and...v1.2.10 has dropped! There's a few changes folks have been asking for here and some pretty important International changes as well.

I'll post them on the blog soon as well but here's the quick change log:

v1.2.10
  • Fixed scaling for 220v presets
  • Improved Glob/Shift initial ramp-up time
  • Improved Halo (Qtz/SiC) tunings
  • Improved Halo (Qtz/SiC) temperature prediction
  • Fixed profile keyboard functionality and added special characters
  • Fixed updates overwriting profiles and presets
  • Updated service bindings - preparing for app launch

True, true.

Reclaim is like a pitbull/rottweiler cross in a dog pageant; it may not win any prizes, it may not be pedigree, it may not be pretty and it probably contains dog fur, but if you stick a torch to it- it'll fuck you up but good.

I was living by that code too, until the Liger 3.0.
I've been running the Liger without a dropdown in this rig 24/7 for the last ~18 months:

Admittedly, this joint isn't hand made and the rig is clear.
But this rig was fucking expensive and I feel no anxiety whatsoever running the Liger w/o a dropdown.
The joint of the rig, while the nail is at dabbing temperature, is cool enough to touch to one's lips.
(Just don't burn your nose!).

Apologies for the extraordinarily high water level in this picture.

In a sense that Liger kinda has a built in drop down as the actual coil is away from the glass joint , so that extra titanium going to your glass is acting as the drop down & probably helping to dissipate some of the heat. I always use a drop down when i run my Enail , wouldn't wanna risk my glass but you look golden with that set up man. It all looks great , gotta get a picture of your Hex Nail in with it next time. I am hoping to join the club and have a Hex Nail shortly .

I totally agree about the reclaim catcher! I use mine all the time with my flat coil v3 liger (I take fat globs @ super low temp) and it fills up fast even with the liger. But it's never wasted and totally cool to have around. I can't wait to use one with my DabBulb! I'm gonna have @ayoglass make a special one for it. I'll definitely hit you up for a supervised HexNail run ASAP when it arrives!
Thanks as well to @alittledabwilldoya' and (again as always!!) to @HexNailAva for the @N3rdglass suggestion! He's actually in Vallejo, Ca and not far from me....this could work out great!:rockon:

You got that straight!
When I was running DNail Halos at home I wouldn't dream of going sans dropdown.
Even with the pre slim line base (which transmitted less heat than the ensuing slim lines) it still was waaaaay too hot to go directly into the rig.

Back then she looked like this:

Still pretty dreamy, but the terps weren't as close to my face!

Sadly I am still just a Hex-Nail groupie, although I have been following this thread from the beginning and came oh-so-close to getting into the initial pre-buy.
All my other shit is bleeding edge tech, so I guess I need to up my controller game.

Looks like I should be upgraded from groupie status shortly.

Same for me if all goes well , very excited . What type of coil does the hex nail use ? Is it a basic 5pin ? @HexNailAva dont want to be a bother but I had pm'ed you a few days ago with a question if you don't mind taking a look for me .
I believe that this came up before and its a 5-pin XLR with the defacto standard pin outs of 1&2 = AC, 3&4 = TC +/-, 5= ground. Same as any Hot Runner coil and the same as used by D-nail.

I LIKE IT!!

I would add that I haven't gotten the WSoD I was seeing on earlier builds...so whatever bug I was having is gone now - thanks!

My first melt shot and had to share! Liger V3 flat coil/SiC Insert, w/reclaimer on a Sub-7 Slyme/Illuminati Torus Klein incycler w/12 slit perc (dirty-dirty) from @Van_LoonGlass. Using this combo (pictured) in the video. Anyone who is wondering how the Hex/Liger combo functions together; it's awesomeness! See for yourself...I'm dabbing on some @WestcoastCure Hardcore OG Live Resin-cake badder. So fire!!

That huge bubble in the melt at the end hung on forever before bursting!
What was your order of acquisition?
Liger first and then Hex-Nail, or vice versa?
I currently have a Liger (using an Auber rdk200) and am wondering what kind of difference the Hex-Nail makes on the dabbing experience.
