whats the deal with all this conflicting info @Ratchett lol? we gotta know..did you get vapor path safe materials? i thought we just had the talk about it?

Lol, Indeed the rumors are true. I am working on a new v3 WPA for the Mighty Vaporizer. I have 3D printed some plastic prototypes which were used for testing one time before the adapter failed/melted (needed visual confirmation the adapter worked as desired!). The finished product will be made from a high temperature stiff Silicone Rubber

The problem is I cannot make the finished product in-house, I had to outsource the manufacturing to a local factory. I'm investing a lot of money for them to make molds of my invention, and there's no guarantee it will work (might need to invest MORE money if the design doesn't fit right). Plus there's a few-week wait to see if the risk was worth it.

This is one of my high priority projects so I'm hoping to publish the final product sometime next month depending on how my first batch of adapters from the mold turn out.

Wish me luck!

any thoughts of creating a better (non chipping) housing?
...if so count me in.

Hoping that Mighty improvements include faster heatup times, after receiving the Solo 2 the Mighty seems slow! Would be nice for the Mighty to hit a little higher on the temps too, now that Solo 2 tops at 220c.

I feel that S&B will be refreshing the Mighty and Crafty this year! Well, that's my dream anyway.

@Ratchett A PROPER Muzzmod has not been created yet for distribution! If you're working with plastics and molds now, it might be a great idea! ;)

Ohhh trust me, the v3 adapter will feel very muzz-mod like, except you won't have all that nasty epoxy glue. And the v3 WPA should be cheaper than a DIY MuzzMod since you need to destroy a CU to make the Mod.

My V3 will be made from stiff silicone rubber so it lock in nicely to the existing structure.

Lol, trust me, I wanna finish that capsule loading project! It's stalled in development because I've outsourced production to a friend with a machine I don't have in my studio. Although he's working SO slow I'm tempted to buy a mini desktop unit so I can start busting out small batches of these capsules.

Some days I'm so tempted to run a Kickstarter to fund the equipment I need to expand my studio.

I was drooling until your last statement, i'm just not down with silicone unless it's not in the vapour path?

Never an issue with epoxy, not in the vapour path..

Why if it's on the outside? I hate silicone rubber....tubing, adapters, whatever.... I think it stinks, and refuse to use tubing and anything "rubber". Shit sticks to it like crazy. Much prefer glass, and get a way more solid connection than silicone. Than there is the issue of spallation, which there is a thread about somewhere on this forum, with @herbivore being the resident expert on it.

Alas, I don't have the capability of working with glass right now. The only thing I can do is work with FDA compliant Food-Grade Silicone rubber.

Sorry if this isn't safe enough for you by your standards, but a material which is considered Food-Grade at temperatures up to 500F is more than safe enough by my standards for a vaporizer which can barely maintain a temperature of 410F. I have yet to find any evidence which leads me to believe my new silicone material (not my in-house silicone) is anything but safe for use with herbal vaporizers.

By all means I'd love to make every vapor path from glass, but that simply isn't feasible right now

I think I saw that happen once or twice, and even the display pulling a David Copperfield and disappearing altogther! :o But then never saw the phenomenon occur ever again.

I also had a stretch where the vibration simply stopped working for several days, and then BOOM it started working again!

Cool thanks for alleviating concerns :)
Looks like I may be getting a muzzmod next week! I like that mighty can sit on glass without being held .
BTW that reminds me , got some glass coming today !! Mighty wants to play :D

Anybody experiences lover vapor amount like 4 -5 about 7s pulls? Im using capsules only as a starter, did the enlargement trick of the upper part of the capsule with the brush as somebody suggested, three circles around the circumference of the top cap and its done. I also cleaned the mighty burned of the iso and the chamber, better said the heated air got this weird like smell, like some irradiated air or something like that, there was nothing loaded :D I thought the less pulls I got might be a result of using water mouthpiece but after trying the plastic one, I figured out thats not the case.

Some people here are using water tools and some oppose it, is it really worth it or should I gave up on my matrix perc and whip connection totally?

love the mighty dry and through water..and im stoked for v3 wpa..im convinced even though the epoxy is on outside that if it fails its now hot and being inhaled. i feel if i cant make it to 100 percwnt safe standards and i feel safe using food grade silicone over expoxy but i understand @biohacker just not liking rubber period and that is totally understandable and i dont trust everything about fda but i do believe we do need regulation of aome sort and thats what we have now..cant wait to get a mjghty again..

There are always options to replace epoxy, possibly with that J-B weld heat resistant glue ? I think silicone would be maybe better option, all plastic is just oil. same bs sb should step their game up and make the the whole case from ceramic zirconia or some kind of reinforced hemp plastic :D
about the water usage, do you think the effects and taste are diminished compared to the raw usage?
