It's like a feeding frenzy in here.

@PeteSeattle good to see you back, shame about the tip it was a piece of DV history.

M may be for metal in the @VapCap world but today in the shed it was for Mokume.

Hey.

Do you think the Vapcap is powerful enough to get you high in a few hits.

I for a long time searched for an on demand device thinking that was what Id wanted because I don't really want to wait for heat up or have to sit for a full session all the time. So I picked up ESV which is about the most on demand device you can get. The thing is that the effects from a few hits don't really do it for me. so it heats up on demand but I still have to session it, as in sit there and suck on it for a while.

I'm wondering if the Vapcap could world sort of like a bong in terms of effects. that it to say strong. See a bong you take a hit or a few and you high, thats because with a bong you take big hits. I want a quick and powerful vape. one I can load, take a few hits and carry on with my life in a short amount of time. And importantly, to be considerably high from those few hits.

Do you think the vapcap could tickle this fancy I have? thanks.
I think you would really like a Vapcap.

The Vapcap is faster than my Herbalizer to get a session in and produces nice thick vapour. It is absolutely like a bong hit as I described in my post above. I love my vapcap in my bong because of the similarities in vapour production. Depending on your usage you might need to reload, but the vapcap will handle any amount you put in it. Even a small partial load will vape nicely.

I highly recommend making a @Squiby filter with degummed hemp fiber if you do end up purchasing a vapcap.

Vapcap is IMO ideal through water, it rips! get the vong.
I think it hits super hard for the amount of herb used. Like I said a few pages back, would be interesting @VapCap to see an 18mm vong version with a larger bowl to compete with devices like the supreme :ko:

I find it surprising just how good the Vapcap delivers a bong hit type rip, because it totally looks more like a one hitter, yet delivers a great snap through a water tool!

AFAIK the VC is about as close to a bong as you'll find with a vaporizer. the reason's actually pretty simple: it gets hot - fast (if you use at least a double torch). if you get the dynastash (or figure out another way to pull off the hot tip safely and quickly), you can make up for not being able to vape a huge amount (like a bong) with the VC's ability to load quickly (jam it into your stash and twist, or draw the weed into the tip with your breath) - no waiting required (provided you don't touch the hot tip with your fingers). I think you've found what you're after...

I caved:lol: The M is on its way to me!

I figured it at least 20% off what it'll be after this weekend ($50-60) and I'll just buy the Ti on 4/20 anyway so me and my partner have one each. Then I can also compare the different tips/condensers:brow:

Now I just need to acquire a torch!

Btw, I added o rings and SS CCDs to my order. Do I need degummed hemp?

Just ran a couple of bowls through the VonG with a bic, indoors so no wind and the initial heat up is long but if you do a quick sesh and keep it warm it's actually pretty quick,I prefer any torch over the bic (I run a triple) simply for the speed. Will confirm what many already have, this thing will work with any decent flame, the amount of joints I've sparked off stove tops in the past it's nice to know if I am in the same position with the VC I'll be covered... Might have to test the toaster because I've sunk that low to spark a doobie before

And perfect timing for me to come rolling back in...

My time in the wilderness :leaf: has been fruitful, and I have learned much: for one thing, I've learned to heat the dang' thing correctly in the first place...I had "remembered" George's heating video inside-out somehow :freak:...so all my complaints about my vapcap experience are revealed as complaints about my lack of clue about THAT, first of all.

Next, I have no idea why I was having the results with the CCDs that I was having - tho I WAS having them; I have employed DynaLowRider's nut-and-bolt method and have made it work better than it (seating the CCDs) worked before, which doubled my efficiency (or more so) - and that before I saw the light on heating :bang: ...still developing skill & sensitivity there.

Still no clue about the condenser & the tip bore - but I'm getting visible resin build-up now...

I believe my 14mm vong body issue is due to my using an 18-to-14 adapter...which the vong body doesn't really mesh with at all. DynaLowRider's suggestion of hookah hose grommets was a great idea...the hookah guy sent me to the heady space next door, I got samples...none work in the adapter: so the 14mm adapter is out. SAD! :lmao:

I tried the grommet + vong trick in the native 18mm female joint, but that was as much fail in the one direction as the 14m attempt had been in the other. I will likely wait for things to stabilize around here (ie, my life) before exploring alternatives. Oh well.

So here today, I am back , I am adequately medicated , I feel like I've got my gear and my tech synch :science: - and I'm waiting for my new pair o' Ms ....

Huge thanks to George, Matt, Arielle, Squiby, the Vaporist, Vapor Eyes, and to this fine and fun community!

With the spinning mouthpiece is there still a need to feather the carb. Or can I set to to were the vapor is thicker And just rip it. Will I have a chance of combusting if it is set to the hole closed ?
There is a spinning mouthpiece that aids in heating, and there is a "spinning mouthpiece" in the sense that the Omni condenser is two-piece, and gets longer or shorter by turning the mouthpiece (it DOESN'T spin); this means that you can't "set" a Woody - or other non-Omni - to your preferred vapor AND you can't spin them as a heating aid.

None of this has to do with carburation, and closing the carburetor increases the resistance to the inhale - not the temperature of your bowl! If you combust, you've overheated. I mostly use the carb in bursts, after the first big pull - I think I've noticed that using the carburetor speeds the cool-down click, so I use it to pull 'what's left in the chamber' at the end.

I have a stupid question since I dont have an Omni --- Since the spinning action of a Omni mouthpiece adjusts the airflow, does that mean it cannot be infinitely spun in 1 direction for heatup the way I spin my Ti Woody-S?

Or does the Omni MP continue free-spinning after youve reached the points of maximum/minimum airflow adjustment?
to reiterate the above:
THE OMNI MOUTHPIECE/CONDENSER DOES. NOT. SPIN. AT. ALL.
(I suspect that's part of the reason for the o-rings)

There's no definition of spinning, much less "free spinning" that includes "turnable by deliberate force". It WILL NOT turn on its own. It's a two-handed operation, and therefore pretty deliberate. No spinning action.

That said, once you've unscrewed the two pieces of the condenser, you can continue to "unscrew" them for as long as you like - but as I say, it's a two-handed process and would come to seem pointless after a bit. I suspect that once you'd tightened them fully, the whole condenser would turn then, but that would be even more effort than the other, which just turns the mouthpiece (short) end.

I bought an OG vapcap about two weeks ago, £35 from vapefiend in the UK, which honestly is way way too much for what this is!

I really wanted to dislike the thing but i didnt, it works great!

Dynavap have been in touch with regarding my complaints and have a offered a very generous solution.

I still think they need to look for a better way to supply parts for the OG to the UK as with either importing or using a UK supplier the cost ends up quite high compared to the US.

However the same can be said for 95% of products sold over here so its likely that dynavap arent happy with that either but that market forces dictate the prices.

I didnt know that much about dynavap as a company until i started doing a little more reading yesterday, i can now honestly say that the reputation is deserved and the customer service is better than exceptional!

Vapour RebeL
M looks awesome, I think it will be the one to pull me to the vapcap side. I don't own anything butane, not even a torch, so this will be a first.

I'm going to start reading thru this thread but can anyone tell me how are the effects of this vape? Heavy hitter?

Heavy hitter but the capacity is small. It produces vapour very similar to a small bong bowl. Slow, then a rush of vapour, seeming to get thicker after the first few seconds, then it tapers off and you'll hear a click. It's a very nice experience from click to click.

The effects are in the 375-390 *F range when I compare it to my Herbalizer. My herbie will always get me more couch locked at 430 F than my Vapcap with the same strain. But the vapcap is so much tastier and just as fast to get a session in.

The fact that I've been using another butane powered vape, the Lotus, makes so much sense to me several functions that the VC has.. not to mention that all the butane that I've bought and it's left aside, will finally get used along with my torches!!! Woohooo...

I want to buy an M for my first Dynavap product. I am also planning on getting extra screens, SS condenser O ring kit, and a Dynamag. Stupid question, but what do I need to use this with my bong? Hopefully something relatively inexpensive.

Also, does anyone know the size of the 2 Snapstashes?

Hi There,

I already have a Grasshopper for on the go and an OG Brick as a desktop-vape.

Now I'm also interested in a Vapecap, but there are so many^^

I need the Vapecap mainly for travel with plane. A Hopper or Brick, I can't free from odor. I guess the VC in alcohol will remove any odor.

The VC is mainly for use on the go and without water. I Think the OmniVap could be the best choice for me?

Works the Fat-MP with the OmniVap and a 14" bubbler?

Anything else, what I need, besides o-rings?

In principle I need the Vapecap first in September. Should I still wait with an order, because there could be improvements / innovations until then?

@Kermitt, Watching developement of the DV items up to know it's pretty possible that there will come some innovations/improvements until September.

If you dont know the VC it's probably the best buying a "M" this weekend for testing the system first. Price is a steal this weekend.

Most people cannot see any differences between the Omni and a Woody in performance. It's just another kind of handling. While you can fix adjust your preferable airflow with the Omni you have to control airflow by using the cab hole of the other modells. As you like it. It's just a question of comfort and price.

Construction of the ti with titanium body should be the most durable of all models aside of the whole stainless "M"

If you dont want to wait until September watch the 420 offers of DV. Hold back your shipment of the "M" until your 420 order and let all ship together.

The fat mp works good with a WT. Alternativly I would recommend one of Ratchett's universal WP-Adapter. Or you directely order a NonaVonG.

O-rings, hemp, wax and replacement screens are usefully to order too.

Thanks for your reply @Hogni

I think I will wait. The M is a good idea, but I think I will risk it without testing. I need the VapeCap for a trip in the USA. Maybe I should let them send the Vapecap to Boston, then I save the German customs^^

I will wait and see what changes till September.

Then you should order some more other stuff - you cannot get in Europe - in the US! ;)

- An order at Ratchett (VapCase/HopperCase et al.)
- Supreme 3
- D-Nail Lotus Flower Adapter/New Vape Flower Pot

Just a few suggestions to much more other stuff......

U can pick up an og mouthpiece for $1. Put it over the regular mp and u are all set to drop ur vc in a 14mm female joint. Very simple and cheap:tup:

Winegums, Please be careful using Teflon tape on your vc. I was hoping your post was an April-fools day post. I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but Teflon is scary stuff

This is what DuPont says about Teflon.

"[PTFE is a white solid at room temperature, with a density of about 2.2 g/cm³. According to DuPont its melting point is 327 °C (620.6 °F), but its properties degrade above 260 °C (500 °F)."

Pyrolysis of PTFE is detectable at 200 °C (392 °F)

Notice the last sentence in this quote. I'm not trying to interfere here, but "degrade above 260c 500f is getting kinda close to out-gassing. Do what you want, but please please please be careful.
Some engineer once called for all the valve gaskets in a new Texaco Decoking unit in Long Beach, Ca to be Teflon. The m.p. of Teflon being 620.6f, product flowing through valves was 780f or more. Damn near burned the refinery down.
Temps that close, and the chance of overheating the VapCap are excellent.
A Teflon coated windpipe and lungs are kinda scary. Please be careful. Doc
