Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I would like to let someone use my evo, that has never vaped before...

My big concern is them coughing down it, and ruining my evo with thermal shock or water damage....

Is there no fool proof ht that can guarantee no water can get back down the bamboo????
..................................................................................................
Here's what I would do:

start with some dry hits at a lower temp (no water in the HT) and instruct them to take small hits like 5 second moderate pulls. I'd probably even chill the HT which I never do BUT here to give them some cooler vapor.

Then with lesser water than normal in the Turbine HT, take a couple test hits on the EVO with no herb--for them to get the feel for proper draw----slow inhales for only a few seconds. Remind them that if you feel a cough coming on---please remove lips from HT !!!
Then load with some of your primo homegrown and lower temps and have them give it a go. As they master that, slowly temp step up and let them experience how cannabis is meant to be consumed.

Are you considering a cheap bubbler as inverted EVO would be even safer to use??

Let us know the results please

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
What's the cost of sending it in for repair.???

There is a good chance that it's a simple fix...
Maybe a dodgy temp knob????
Is it just a variable resistor behind there???
You don't have the convenience of living 3 hours driving distance from where it needs to be shipped. So I will walk you through what I encountered.:sherlock:
Well I first sent a message to SUPPORT@VAPEXHALE.COM. and corresponded. Was reassured and informed that my second EVO is covered under Standard Warranty and my main EVO was registered upon purchase. So far so swimmingly.

Got a case number in my return msg, Then Logged into Vapexhales site and added the warranty service to my cart.--->https://www.vapexhale.com/products/vapexhale-evo-warranty-repair-service

'Simply complete the checkout process so that we may proceed with your EVO™ warranty repair. Service is free, you will not be charged.'

Didn't realize I was supposed to add my S/N and info to the notes section of the repair order and had to scrap that and create a new repair order. They cancelled the incorrect one a short time after I brought it to their attention I goofed. Which helped me in filling out the second attempt. :haw: Whew! That could have been frustrating untangling that otherwise.

O.K. so, I printed and filled out the proper "Product Repair Slip". With details about what I felt was wrong with my poor EVO. Went to Fed EX and paid $12.35 ground From Central NY to someplace near Scranton, PA. Now it is all in God's hands.

I don't think the bamboo is broken, but I suspect there could be 1 to 2 things wrong. Maybe the board needs calibrating or the element isn't in full enough contact with the glass. So they might just open it up, calibrate the board, re position the internals, tighten things down. Send it to an anxious Cuckfumbustion.

Read the warranty information more closly. Don't foresee anything I would get an invoice for and they are supposed to cover the S&H of having it sent back. I made a point that this is supposed to be a backup for a perfectly working EVO. So hopefully my forthcoming will pay off, fingers crossed.
This is closely linked to my OCD..... So I obsess about the vapes I love, which is why I buy a spare of them, to stop me obsessing....

I loved my arizer eq (and still do) just as much.... It was the vape that fucked combustion for me, so it has sentimental love.....
My EQ might be coming out and assisting me while my second vape gets looked over. I have ELB's that will fit my 19mm wands. So I'll pair the best of both. Also might get some things for my Underdog to get it to heat better. But I still want my other EVO back from the shop. :peace:

Check out this little video I made with my VapeXhale.
Nice video, I really like the music and editing!

I keep my Evo pretty much locked at 2:00 for flowers. I need the higher temps for pain management, and I'm too lazy to temp step.

I'm still having trouble dialing in concentrates but I prefer a lower temp for them, 9:00-11:00 mostly. I feel that this is opposite to most people? I've always been a bit weird...

Clean! Relatively lol! That stuff on the bottom I scrubbed and it looked even worse! No sticking so gonna be a good evening :)

I thought my Evo was pretty clean until I saw that picture. I checked it out and it had a brown ring in the same exact spot. I was surprised how much had built up in less than three months. I gave it a good cleaning today. Thanks for that post, as silly as it seems I may not have noticed the residue building up there until it was too late to clean it fully.

I had to mail out one EVO, So both got cleaned. Used a nylon brush that's center is narrow enough to easily go through the holes in the bamboo. There might be some test tube cleaners that work gently enough. Is there a rec'd method?

You know it's clean when the whistle sound comes back in perfect pitch. The full meaning of clean as a whistle.

I never lost the whistle but mine isn't that old. That's why I was surprised it was so dirty already.

Speaking of which, I see most people say if it whistles you're hitting it too hard. I noticed with my Honeycomb it whistles pretty easily so sometimes I like to hit it so hard it stops whistling. With the dry mouthpiece I have to try hard to make it whistle.

I'm sure it has to do with the extra draw resistance the Honeycomb gives. I think the Turbine and Hydrabomb probably require a faster draw speed than the Honeycomb to make them whistle, but less than the dry mouthpiece.

To everyone that has broken their bamboo stem I feel your pain!

I just recently broke my bamboo stem (3 Days ago) and I already miss using the vapexhale! :(

I have sent it in for repairs which set me back $160 CAD! (I live in Vancouver)

I really hope the people at Vapexhale upgrade their downstem material because damn this thing breaks easy!

Also, quick question for all my fellow VapeXhale users:

What are your thoughts on using the vapexhale mainly for concentrates? I have gone through about 2 oz of concentrates with my quartz + glass xnail and have found that I don't get as good of an effect as when I use a nail. Maybe I have been using it wrong this whole time? I usually crank it up to max temp and just let the nail clean itself when I am done my hit.

I was just wondering because I plan on switching out for a enail.

Mod note: posts merged

Yeah I'm pretty much gonna do what you said...

I will let him have a little go dry first...
Then upgrade him to the d020d with evo inverted.....
Then the turbine ht with water...

The only problem with this, is that that's 3 goes on an evo for a new vaper..... that could be fatal....

Last time I tried a new person, they spent 4 hours sweating and being sick....
I don't want a repeat of that....

I did load him up a huge dab though...
Bit mean...

Look at the grey knob and switch..:suspicious: And the smooth shininess of the surface. The top is smooth. No vents with protective screen like the real EVO. Grey embossed 'Vapexhale' label/decal. Not recessed. Destined for the scrapheat minutes after purchase.

That's only the 1st picture in the listing , the next few seem to be just taken from the web of real Evos and than the last picture seems to just be a pic of a og cloud before the Evo had come out. Lol

Beat me to it, I was just about to point this out...

Only the first pic is of the fake...

It still has an isolated air path.... how wrong can they get it????
I'm a little curious.... I would like to try one just to see...
Not own one...

Well i did hear a long while back that when the cloud had come out there was a company copying it and from what i read some users liked it allot. Me personally , i would not purchase one for the fact that who knows what materials are used .

Good point....
That bamboo could be made from inferior glass that's full of lead....

Maybe I don't want to try one...

Maybe someone should request a specially made quartz or sic bamboo downstem from china ;)

Hopefully that'll push the guys at vapexhale to upgrade from the fragile glass downstem... (haha, I wish)

But when you think about it, is the evo any more fragile than most other vapes???

Most battery portables would die or be seriously injured, if dropped from standing hight onto hard ground....

Any vape that uses a glass heat core of some sort is subject to the same scrutiny as the evo....

I broke my eq glass heater cover....

All vapes have a weak point I suppose.....

Dare to dream.
What do you think quartz bamboo would cost compared to a standard? :hmm: Do you think there is some variance between bamboos of the same type in the EVOs already being made? would it have to be shaped differently?

1st question on my mind is the materials used. Are they heat resistant? Even drawing cool air over some materials affect flavor. (Why I thing Log vapes might appeal to those who like the rustic taste of wooden pipes.)

If the glass isn't heat temperamental in some way, it will die of shock sooner or later. I need some reassurance that the glass is made to take the heat.

Glass by it's nature isn't really heat resistant. They keep coming up with new ways to make it heat, cold or shock resistant. Like Borosilicate glass.

But it is from "Top-rated supplier". :D Still would like to what they decided to put inside the body. :zombie: Not enough to part with money, type of curious. mind you.

I do think about things like how well the PCB works beforehand. (Why the EQ is like a PC to me.:science:Oo Rah!) QC aside, You could have a faulty fakey unit for a stupid reason like being shorted for less than 5 cents of worth of solder. I'd rather have an old Davinci that goes for the same price.

Any vape worth buying is worth having a guarantee or warranty. :2c: Too many companies have been around 3+ years. So why shortchange yourself? But I am curious just HOW fake it is and how it operates.

Speaking of guarantee. I sent them my msg with tracking. Vapexhale support had responded and thanked me for my tracking number and gave me further details. Optimistic that a reseating of the inside and any type of calibrating that could be possible might occur and it would be in working order. But knocking on wood, for now. :ugh: At least it is less than 4 hours driving time from me.

If you were on the fence about purchasing a VapeXhale, this may push you over the edge.

They are having a Super Bowl Sale starting now through Monday.

https://www.vapexhale.com/

The sales never filter down to the UK distributors.....
As much as I love Vapefiend, and have nothing but high praise for them, I wish they would have a sale when vapexhale does...

Has anyone purchased a glow in the dark heat shield yet?????
I wanna see some proper pics of it...

I have to wait till the end of February to get one in the uk....

Sorry you guys don't get the sales. Can you not just order from vapexhale direct or does shipping kill it ? Sometimes shipping kills it in the U.S. also. I kinda been eyeing the vapexdeck & the 2 new sleeves myself. I just don't know if i'd actually put the deck to good use.

Super Bowl Sale at VXL! 20% off any order, $100 off Super Bowl LI Starter Kit and $50 off accessory bundle....discount codes are on the web page.

ALSO - There's a new "tip of the week" video on temps. http://info.vapexhale.com/tip-of-the-week

If anyone checks out the video.....at 4:30 in the video Seibo heat cleans a nail which is throwing off white vapor like they just selected a new Pope. What I'm curious about is how much vapor is still being thrown off AFTER he pulls out the nail. Is this because the bamboo is dirty or did the nail spill over or both?

Was posted in the thread already but about the nail , i have had this happen to me many times and when i look down the tube never can see any sign of anything that has spilled. I think its when you pull the nail out since it has a hole in it where you put your concentrate in , it spills out actual vapor through that hole down into the bamboo and that is why you see it coming out like that. I will usually blow the vapor out through the bottom and it stops. One thing though and they did not show this in the video , the nails are never spotless clean after a high temp burn off like he stated. At least not for me , ever.

If I use mine correctly and let them burn off on max until my evo goes to sleep they get that clean. By correctly I mean not packing too much and also not pulling any oil up the sides while I'm vaping, gotta let it bubble for like 15-20 seconds like he shows then not draw too fast. I mean I always do my dabs around like 1 pm so that's my routine. I guess you would wait less time at higher temps.
