Ordering a log vape from Europe (Germany specifically)

Hey all,

I've been looking to upgrade from my year old Haze V3 to a log vape simply because of how much the Haze seems to consume for how much it hits me. Quality material is incredibly hard to come by in Germany and also seems to be burning a hole in my wallet lately.

After two weeks of near constant prowling on FC Forums and also the Vaporents thread on reddit, I've come to understand that log vapes are pretty much the gold standard at efficiently utilizing a given amount of material. After briefly considering (for about a week) butane torch vapes, I've swung back in favor of log vapes now.

I was wondering if there was anyone who could give me some insight/personal experiences about ordering an E-Nano and having it delivered in Germany. I'm a Kickstarter junkie and and so have made quite a few visits to the local Zollamt (Customs office) to pick up my packages and it's usually a very intrusive process that ends up with me having to pay a cool 19% tax in order to collect the package. I'd written to Epicvape with some questions a few days back and haven't heard back from them yet, so in the meantime can any of you give me some inputs about whether the process was a hassle? Is it worth ordering it from here? And if yes, how long did the shipping take?

Thanks in advance :)

Almost there...
Why not order one from the UK?
Here on FC we have a lot of log makers and some are actually closer to you!
Not saying the E-Nano is not worth it, it is a great vape but you have other options!

I have owned 3 of the above vapes and all were amazing! Amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail!

Oh and also look at this one in Germany!

Woah! This is intriguing!! I'd briefly considered the Underdog but it seems they don't ship outside of the USA. The others though seem rather interesting. I've pinged Musa Vapes on Instagram. Waiting to see what comes out of it.

Thanks for the information @lazylathe. Still deliberating on the E-Nano because that's how much people have praised it :D

The E-Nano is awesome! Don't rule it out!
I just got the feeling you were reasonably new and may not have all the information that you need!

Happy searching!

The enano has a wide market so there are more users. I have the underdog, enano and Hi and all 3 have their strengths. Get whichever is most affordable. You will find that almost all HI users have positive reviews as is also the case with the underdog. The main difference is that the enano comes with a temp control and you have to get that extra for the Underdog. On the other hand the underdog comes with your choice of several different stems while the Enano comes with 1. I haven't bought from home grown logs because of shipping and because I'm waiting for Ed's log but if I lived in Europe I would definitely get one of those. Log vapes are very simple unlike some of the more complicated vapes so you really can't go wrong with any log. Customer service is outstanding for the Hi and Underdog.

I've been talking with the guy who makes the MUSA vapes and he's been pretty informative so far. I've requested for more videos on the functionality as well as the ABV quality. I hope he responds on that front. He's currently waiting on material so there's about a week's lead time in case I order.

I've come to understand that too from the past couple weeks. Funny thing is, I hadn't heard about log vapes at all until a week ago.

The only thing that puts me off about the UD is the need for a variable voltage power supply. The E-Nano seemed relatively hassle free. I also don't have any bong equipment at the moment and won't be investing in them anytime soon. How has your experience been with the Nano in terms of the medication quality?

If you are in Germany @imtp I strongly recommend getting a 12V log vape. Mainly because the most likely part of a log to fail will be the power supply & it is easy to get a 12V power supply locally. Also think about replacement screens, stems & the like as you want to make sure your order has replacements. From memory there is issues sending electronics without a CE? certificate to Germany though? One other thing to remember is you don't really temp step with a log vape, more find your sweet spot & go.

Is there a particular device that you're referring to?

The CE Rating or lack thereof IS the biggest pain in the neck over here. I've heard they're really a*al about it at the customs office. :(

No particular device. There are a bunch of 12V Log vapes out there, it is more that you can get generic power supplies anywhere.

The E-Nano is not CE certified.

The E-Nano operates on 120 volts AC. From the EpicVape website FAQ regarding an international version..."No, we do not currently make a 220v version. However you can use the E-Nano utilizing a small 220v-110v minimum 50 watt step down converter."

Running into the same problem, I don't think it's as big of an issue. Log vapes (with the exception of the E-Nano) run on 12V and being low powered devices require no certification. It's the power supply that needs to be certified, but all EU plug PSUs are CE certified. Or you can skip shipping the PSU entirely and buy one locally.

They seem to be out of stock of everything right now. Both Ed and Sneaky Pete's store.
I actually ended up going with one of Alan's square HI's. Shipping to Europe in the past he didn't have any problems.
