Micro-dosing

Does anyone else struggle with wanting to vape more purely for the process?

Yeah, it's a very comforting processor.

Yeah, that's the rub, isn't it. Loading, heating and toking on my Vapcap is just so darned fun! The ritual is so enjoyable that it is shame to be done in a minute.

That is the beauty of micro dosing. You get to toke a bit more often than if you were hitting it heavy.

The Vapcap is still so new to me, after a session J think "Wait, that's it? Usually there is more I gotta do."
Micro-dosing is definitely the key to extending the pleasure, and the control over the effects is enhanced as well

Does anyone else struggle with wanting to vape more purely for the process? Like I love the high I get from just one hit, but the act of vaping a couple bowls is what's hardest for me to cut out haha
Absolutely do! Every part of the process is enjoyable.
* Breaking a bit off a nug: Looking at a beautiful nug! Smelling the aroma from the fresh open spot where the piece to be vaped was removed from.
* Grinding (depending on the vape used): Again, that smell! Opening the grinder and taking a huge, slow sniff.
* Weighing the Herb: I enjoy the semi-scientific... so weighing on a digital scale and seeing how diff strains weigh in differently and other parameters are very interesting.
* First hit of fresh load: The taste! Exhaling invisible great tasting vapor.
* Remaining Session: If not a one hit quit, then must be time to make some clouds.
* Downing the ABV: Micro-dosing so after a session end up with a pretty tiny amount of ABV. I happen to love the taste, so once done, ABV on the tongue. Against roof of mouth till it kind of melts and there's that nutty flavor... Yum!

I guess the least favorite part would be cleaning. And even that is not really painful as the majority of my vapes need only to clean glass...

So, to sum it up... Do I love the act of vaping? Hell Yes!

Well put haha, I like your process. Interesting tho, I guess in small quantities and lightly vaped(which I already do) I could see avb tasting yummy. Do you feel any buzz from that or is it purely for taste?

Thanks!

Honestly, am not entirely sure. I'd like to think that in an hour or three when my microdose elevation level starts to fall, that the slight ABV buzz keeps it going.

To test, I'd have to throw out those little crispies that are left over from a micro-dose session though.... ;)

Going to convert strictly to microdose techniques.

I got diagnosed CHS and must keep the cannabinoid levels down in my body after my 90 break of course. There are so many positive reasons to microdose. The only thing I am regretting is not taking this approach seriously before now.

I wish you the very best with your T break and your return. I really hope you find a way around your CHS

Regarding your CHS, would you be willing to post more details on what it is like and the experience of seeking treatment in the Medical Forum (or have you already)?

Yes i just recently started micro dosing and its awesome.

A lot of this depends on your schedule

in the past i used to vape more than needed whenever i would go out. This effected my tolerance negatively plus i always found myself no longer buzzed by the time i got out to do whatever.

Micro dosing allowed you to stay medicated all day, keeps your tolerance in line, and it saves herbs as you most likely will not use as much

Do remember, everybody micro doses differently.
Some might prefer to take 1 hit
Some might take a few hits
It all just depends on you and your specific needs

i love @DDave process i totally agree with it
(except with eating the abv, yuck!)

Vaping itself is fun and can also be addicting
So once you have a satisfying buzz, then its time to stop and move on and do something else
Then come back and take some more hits when your buzz has decreased / ceased

CANNABIS IS MEDICINE

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Not sure if appropriate for this thread or not. But vaping mints, lemongrass, lemon balm seem to enhance or even reactivate the other effects for me. YMMV. Also it feels like I'm vaping 'more'.
I have been able to revape dried ABV with my SSV wand and the EQ and get more actives that aren't vaped on the surface.
Usually when my tolerance has been lowered. Switching up my technique also allows for more options and portion control.

The ultimate microdose?

Took a long hit off my Toasty Top solely for the purpose of cleaning the roasting tube screen (no herb loaded).
Apparently the screen needed it, cause I ended up w a nice little buzz.
The tube has quite a build up of resin, so maybe that contributed.
At any rate, hard to get more micro than a buzz off an empty bowl.

Hahaha! We used to do that in the 70s on our combustion hash pipes then took a needle and scrape out the stem for the reclaim.

Those were the days!

Soooo, I'm definitely a micro guy. .12gram in the firefly2 lasts me 10days, lol. I'm a 2 hit a day maybe guy usually. But, what i'm noticing is my stash isn't shrinking, at all. Less than an ounce and im pretty sure it'll last 3years... Lol. Anyone else have these problems?

Absolutely. That's what stops me micro-dosing really. Still with vaping it seems you can vape a load and still not actually have used that much herb. I guess I kind of micro-dose in the day then vape it up in the evening.

HI Steama - I replied to this great news under the medical forum...but this is great news. Congratulations.

Now quit shoving those burritos down your throat sideways and all will be well! LOL haha

Yep. Bought an eighth basically a month ago. It still looks like I have most of it left. Haven't vaped every day quite, but most of them at least once. And I still have an unopened quarter. The nice part of this is more time to save up for the better strains, and to get a bunch of different ones to try.

Platinum Heriojuana OG may be my new favorite strain!

Just did .005g in Milaana, my usual daytime dose so I can get stuff done and with this strain all I'm getting done is warming the couch! And my fricking eyes are bloodshot.

It's not just because it's a new strain for me. I've changed strains before while on this microdosing quest. None as strong as the effects I have now.

For medical use, I can see pain, nausea, and insomnia relief. RLS too...

:o Damn! Is that a typo? I can't imagine what 0.005 would look like, is it even a single calyx?
No joke friend. My scale does three place behind the decimal.

Went from long TBreak to that dosage. Good dose to take the edge off, but still be active. At least until this strain.

I do turn it up a notch for evenings.. .035g to sleep.

On weekends .05g to get recreationally ripped.

I while back, never thought this was possible. Any idea how long a fat eighth last me? ;)

Wow! Props! My tolerance is a bit high right now since I'm pretty new to vaping and have been over indulging, but I discovered the microdosing ways in my smoking days. I was excited at how much more efficient vaporizing has been, and how I'll be able to use even less for my single hit doses. Never thought it would be that much more efficient! I'm getting a vapman soon so once that arrives I'll probably test it out a bit before t-breaking, then I'll see if I can't get similar results. Although I don't have a 3 decimal point scale. Hmm I have to guess with those numbers... about 2 or 3 months? Btw how long was your break?

If you can, get a similar scale. Consistency has been the key to my successful adoption of micro dosing.

Yep! Wish the dispensaries let me split an eighth into 4 separate strains!

TBreak was way too long!. Over a year. (also, not by choice)

Yeah that makes sense, I'll look for one.

Wait what? They don't!? Is there a reason for that?

Oof, bummer. Do you have any recommendations for TBreak length?
