Babys dial is at about the same location. It's prolly gonna get moved a bit so there is enough room to clearly label the max setting as 13...
So more testing - my ABV collection is getting really rather large. My poor glass is full of reclaim. (does anyone use filter material in their glass?). I've only used a short stem. Haven't tried it in glass yet, or through water, or with anything besides ground flower, and a couple of buds. I *have* used the stash container. I kinda thought it was a gadget when it first appeared on the thread, but I use it all the time! I was using a small prescription pill bottle, but this is much more elegant, and holds enough to last me a full day out if pressed.
The stir stick is both good and great. It's a lot more substantial than I assumed. It's basically a piece of round stock with a nicely shaped end. It falls out a lot. I held Zion up to get a look inside and almost lost an eye. Fortunately I have a couple of spares... I was going to give it the wee bendy trick that TKW showed a few pages back, but that is gonna involve a vice and a hammer, which I'm a bit loath to do... Maybe a wee piece of pipe insulation in there will provide enough to keep it a bit tighter. But it's really handy to have to get those pesky pieces stuck in the stem loose when changing loads. Plus it's durable enough to be used in a survival situation, which is where any self-respecting portable log vape should be in my view...
@MrPeanut will probably be modifying his for cleaning fish one-handed, while Zioning with the other.
So anyways, day 3 has me doing some temp surfing. I can easily run a few on low, a few on lower than medium, and then a few more on the upper ranges to finish it. And it's a nice, dark colour. Fairly even considering I'm not much of a stirrer. I found that to be more messy than worthwhile, but thats likely just my lack of GAF factor considering I'm usually pretty happy at stir time.
I've noticed that I'm vaping less somehow. I'm not preheating, and then running the device, and then maybe running another load through since it's already warm, and there's the better part of an hour gone. Here it's the Thunderbirds countdown, vape, and put it down. Putting a fresh set of batteries in is kinda like christmas. And you get to draw at whatever pace you want to. Start drawing slowly, and when you feel the warmth you can up your speed, and vape still keeps coming. It's quite fun, and it keeps getting me really, really medicated. But if you wanna just fill, set dial to 13, and GO, that option is also available. From finesse through to brute force.
Yes, Zion is a great vape. Baby and myself are bonding nicely. She fits in the cupholder on the ATV, but now I need to figure out how to keep mud, snow and dogs from landing on her there...
