@Shit Snacks is on point. All international orders filled to date will be delivered but no additional Zion orders will be taken. Our logistics team is confident that the customs paperwork will not be an issue. If by chance a unit does not make it through RBT will issue a full refund. We are excited to get these few international units out to determine if the expense of CE certification is warranted. Big shout out to our international customers for giving us this opportunity to send the Zion worldwide even if only on a small scale.

Yeah dude, of our testers @ChippyMalone has the nano, while I have compared it to Underdog and LSV, someone mentioned a Cloud Evo...

Yeah I'd suggest skimming the past 30-40 pages, I mean if you want to convince (or torture?) yourself ;)

Yep. It can hit as hard as a desktop one thanks to the amazing Zion heater technology.

No, the batts won't work as they're only 5A. You need at least 15A as far as I know. 20A are definitely recommended - as RBT sells them on their website.

You did good to someone and to your old vape by selling it. Maybe you can throw the contributions into the Zion piggy bank. Def. worth it. :)

So it's definite that the first Zions won't have a CE label?
If not is there an alternative way to pass thru customs? @KeroZen mentioned his alpha made it thru coz it was a test unit, not a commercial product.
Would that be a workaround? I'd cry like a girl if my future love wasn't making it to me... :cry:

VAS!!! It's killin' me! LOL. Zion is sitting in the cart. Funny thing, turns out RBT and I graduated from the same college in the same year. So, I HAVE to support their efforts :) Wonder if we ever got baked at the same parties....hmmmm?

Edit: Well, the trigger was too tempting. It has been pulled! October just got that much more fun!

All I can say is I am extremely happy with both my beta unit and the manner and behavior of RastaBuddahTao as a company. Venus has taken over as my device of choice and I have hardly used anything else since she arrived.
Well, that ISN'T ALL I can say, but I say that very enthusiastically. :)

I really don't think you can go wrong unless it is to not get one of these. :)

Using Shipito you can write the Custom Declaration yourself, you can put that the package is a gift. I read that if we send it using Airmail Economy it's less likely to have problems with the customs, but it takes longer to arrive, and it has no tracking number.

I'm going to ship mine to Brazil and all the custom fees adds up to about 75% of products that are over $50 here. It's made of wood and it looks cheap, so we can easily state in the Custom Declaration that it costs $35. There is also an option in shipito to ask them to remove the Store Invoice.

When I bought my MFLB, it was shipped as an "Air Purifier" stating it costed $25, and I had no problem.
I think if you do all that, it's more likely to pass through the customs. You could also try to state that it is an "Air Purifier Test Unit".

But there is no guarantee, it's up to us if we want to take the risk.

Hey man. Thanks for your reporting. I don't see where this would help, if the customs would check it for a CE label. Or did I miss the point?
RBT will fill out the declaration, that's not the problem. It's a potentially missing label (and/or a missing manual in domestic language) - that can lead to destruction of the unit.
Personally I have very limited experience with the whole customs shit, so I'd try to prepare for certain cases if I could.

Maybe your suggestion will lower the risk of checking and opening the parcel - but then you don't have tracking and its not insured. I think opening the parcel is kinda obligatory, since they need to check the invoice or not? And even when there's none, then they will check further I think... And check the device itself.
Maybe I'm totally wrong (hopefully), but anyway I hope that RBT will make it arrive safely and do the customs declaration/clearance accordingly.

The CE regulations apply to the entire EEA, which makes a huge difference for people like myself.

That said, I have never had this problem and didn't think products made outside the EEA had to have CE certification if a customer orders it online and it's for personal use. Maybe i'm wrong. But I've bought several vapes from the US online, and none of them has a CE label.

Fun fact: It used to be EC (European Community), but now it's CE (Conformité Européenne) because, well, France.

Those are tips I read from other Brazilians who imports a lot. So they did it mostly to pay less custom fees.

It also probably reduces the risk of them opening the parcel. Shipito can also ship using mail services that has tracking numbers, but then I read there is more risk of being taxed in the customs here in Brazil. They are probably more strict with express orders too for Europe. You can add warranties to express orders, but the more valuable our package looks, the more likely it will be that the customs will check it.

I'm not too sure if I can wait the slow international shipping, so I'm really thinking in buying a Firefly from a Brazilian retailer, and letting to buy the Zion in the future... I will probably make the decision this week. My MFLB is broken and I have no vape, so it sucks. : S

has anyone figured out how to put "no shipping" when you place an order? RBT said I can add batteries to my order if I do that but I don't see any option for that.

Nice pics VNV! Festival looks like fun too! Since you've obviously been taking her out of the house, how have you found her for portability? Is it pocketable or do you stash her in a bag? One last q, would you mind snapping a pick of her assembled next to a 12oz can when you have time? I think that would be a great comparison.
Being picky here, but wish the button on top was the kind that could be pushed in flat, then pushed again for it to pop up and be used.
