Yeh I have ADD and I am already mentally working on the next single battery design... Basically a pure convection version of the magic flight. Just don't know if I keep the temperature control or just run it at a fixed temp. @MrPeanut and I are finding that we tend to leave it at one temperature since the vaporization is so consistent and golden brown... Mmmmm

On another note @thekarmawhore has his Zion and should receive his charger today or tomorrow and I just dropped @stickstones Zion in the mail.... Tracking number has been sent ;)

Things should get lively here soon

I do have an external battery with usb output i use on my phone and tablet. The idea if using pass through or even just charging off that external battery does sound pretty nice. Again, pasd through is a bonus but love the idea of usb charging

No sir... They are both Zion units. One is a rapid prototype (nylon I believe). One is a Poplar wood Zion. However, it is a "model shop" unit so it is a bit of a diamond in the rough. Pictures of both unit is can be found on the web site.

@stickstones unit has the latest optimized heater so it has more power and is more consistent compared to the 2x4s

For the newer portable, I wouldn't be too concerned about pass through. I would, however, like the ability to charge the unit with the battery inside - I'm not always carrying an extra battery with me. I take my portables with me to work, but if I grab it and didn't notice a low battery, I can just plug it up to my computer for a charge. That's a nice feature! But I would definitely make the battery removable so that if I'm going on a long trip away from a power source, I can just bring extra batteries.

I think 10 hits is a little low for one battery. I think the market now has 3-5 bowls or 30 or so hits per charge. That should be the benchmark to compete with others in the field. I don't really want to swap a battery every bowl. That means I will ALWAYS have to carry extra batteries - thus defeating the idea of a pocketable portable.

Also, I personally like the idea of adjustable temp on the go. It doesn't necessarily need to have the full range, but at least 3-5 temps would be nice. Sometimes I'm at work and just want a low temp hit to keep me happy focused. Other times I'm at a concert and want a high temp hit to get the full effects. This is where I think the Grasshopper has done something really right.

Yeh that is Stick's Zion... I named her Sarah. The mouthpiece was just for photos as it is too big to fit in the holder. On Friday Prism Glass in Troy NY will be hosting an artisan showing and @thekarmawhore and I will be in attendance. They will be supplying the Zion's custom stems. Check em out, they have some really sick glass!
