Hey @thekarmawhore! Have you done any drop tests? I have a feeling that if the Zion falls and hits on the wooden cover, the stem could possibly break if the cover doesn't attach very steady on the body...

How about a steel dowel pin in the base and close-fit hole in the lid to take all the shock load in the event that when dropped it hits lid-first? The clearance holes to the glass are big enough that the pin takes the whole hit.

In the production units this will be covered by a panel of.... wood.... or mica... or glass... or brass... or copper.... or... anyone have any preferences?
