I can only imagine how tactile one would be.
Hidden in plain sight. Get a few non RBT tech. ones done with stalks. On a nice base. With one extra stalk. 18mm diameter of course. It's just a clump of innocuous morels.
@cybrguy Only ever found morels once and there were two. Used to collect shaggy ink caps.

I'm too much of a coward and too lazy to pick them myself. I get them from a mushroom farm in Wisc. They don't grow them there, but mush hunters go there to unload their booty for folks like me to buy. It's too bad their season is so short...

I don't think anyone has success trying to farm them, they pretty much have to be wild.

I wonder if you could dry them and vape them in Zion... (I knew there was a way to get back on topic).

It makes for a lot of flexibility in arrangements, and its much easier to pull the plug than lift the vape and M2M. I really like it.

Hello Zionation :)

While out & about getting some fresh air and a bit of excerise with JZ this weekend, I thought I'd also take the opportunity to shoot a few pix, and maybe provide just a little light visual relief for those in need . . .

- The lid magnet on my beta unit happily attaches to the magnet inside the battery lid, keeping the two together . . .

I purchased a new 18.8/18.8mm male to male adapter recently because I had previously been using an 18.8/14.5mm male to male adapter along with an 18.8 to 14.5mm reducer to attach Johnny and my J-hook . . .

. . . so now it's a little tidier without the bulk of the reducer, and as there are fewer components to come apart, it's easier to handle when pulling it all out of the Zion joint.

You crack me up with your backwards hat talk Veg. Great pictures, and very cool that the lid attaches to the unit to keep it close and not lost. I bet this is something i would have figured out and done too, within days of getting my Zion. Cheers.

Edit. Although i am a beta tester i have not had my hands on any refined units. No regulation and nothing with a trigger or "finished" apperance. I am anxious like everyone else, but after testing the heater tech first hand it almost makes it even harder because i know how good the Zi will be once delivered. I ran into a similar situation back with VapXHale. Although that one left me without a unit for more than 6 months after beta testing. Once you have got a glimpse of the holly grail this vape (or the VXC) can be, it becomes exceedingly difficult without having access. Using meds any other way just feels like a chore. You know it's the best tool for the job, but you dont have access to it. I sincerely believe everyone here is getting in on the ground floor of something very big. Cheers all.

I like that Sherlock a lot.

So, I have a question for you guys. I have only one grinder that I have had for years and it does a pretty coarse grind which has been fine for my various vapes (and of course combusting which is now history), but I am wondering if it is worth getting another grinder that grinds more finely. Do any of you prefer a fine grind with your Zions?

I barely grind at all. Usually, I will take a small, well dried nug and give it a squeeze kinda breaking it up a bit. Then into Loki's stem and a killer flavor hit follows. After that, it's a quick stir with @Ratchett 's Scoop'n'stir and ready for the next hit. Usually the second is less tasty and more cloudy. But remember, Loki is a HOT potato and I run it hot.

Stickstones uses full nug chunks then stirs and breaks down further after a few hits i believe. I often do too with the TOD and other vapes but i actually prefer a corse grind most of the time. A powder grind has more particles sucked through and harder to clean out IMO. I think this will be a preference thing, like many vapes with the power to extract plant in nugs or chunks, or of various grind types. Expecially true with the adjustable nature of the Zion screens.

I like a medium-fine grind. The two-piece titanium Space Grinder is what I like.

Ah thanks so much guys, I'm really pleased that you like all the pics :)

I was just thinking those exact same words TheDude - medium-fine. Not medium, not fine. Medium-fine.

For me that is multiple rotations in an inverted Santa Cruise Shredder.

And then I find a very loosely packed stem will produce the best clouds. Tight packing seems to increase the likelihood of combustion for me - as I like to start out quite hot.

I certainly can, and I have vaporized unground material in the Zion, but so far I have found that well ground material has provided me with the most consistent, and effective results which are befitting to my needs.

Packing style & grind consistency are definitely worth having a good play around with . . . . there is quite a lot of variance achievable and it's far too easy to get stuck doing the exact same thing over & over without really realising it - at least that's what I find (too frequently!).

And finally, here's an extra pic of Johnny trying to look all dark & brooding. Taken from my hotel room during a stay this week . . . I liked the little light-up table :)

Medium-course for me! SC shredder works well, sometimes I do turn it hpside down a bit too though, depending on the strain, to give it a little more grind. Actually I'd just say medium grind overall, but clearly it all works in Zion, only issue with fine grind is airflow and mesh screens, so a little courser rather than finer is better overall imo, like most pure convection

And yeah @VegNVape you know I enjoy your reports as I sit here gazing longingly at Ziggy...

Just spent the last few days reading thru this thread. Love all the concepts behind this vape - the use of organic materials especially wood, minimalist design, powerful cloud-producing abilities in a portable, efficiency both in power and herb, big flavorful hits even natively, analogue knob to control voltage, pleasing feng shui aesthetics, wood wood wood

Gotta say, I’m amazed by the way this thing developed with the collaboration between FC members & RBT team. What a thing of beauty how that came together! And the honesty, openness and mutual respect between company & customers is truly a breath of fresh air. What a happy place this cult is! Love it - where do I sign up??? Oh wait, I just did - order now placed for Zion :p and I have named him after my favorite Doonesbury character, Zonker.

After 47 years of daily mj enjoyment, despite the last 15 exclusively vaping, my appetite for big clouds hasn't subsided from all the years of combusting. Haven’t been able to satisfy that with any of the newer portables I tried, so kept returning to my one-hit MFLB. But even with that, to get enough ooomph I have to use it with the power adapter. So... I almost went for TOD but prefer the aesthetics of the Zion. Hoping with some high-temp pre-heat I’ll be able to knock out some cumulus on the first, or at least by second hit.

Many thanks to the folks at RBT and FC beta testers and all those contributing to the creation of this lovely vape.  Can't wait to get zonked with Zonker!

Peace LOVE Rock’n’Roll
