It doubles as a high quality flashlight, apparently. How needlessly awesome!

In theory it sounds pretty great, I'd love to hear any first person accounts. I guess it might be one of those Vapir No2 type things, where it has everything we want in theory (on board battery, electronic control, LED screen, portability) but ends up being a total piece because of poor quality and shit taste.

Quite a few parts on it look like the Iolite I bet you could use an Iolite herb chamber with it, also the heating pin is the exact same and the tool, pipe cleaners and plastic at the top of the unit from what I can see in pictures.

I'm not going to be the guinea pig to try it out so who's first. :lol:

I've used it. Burns a little hotter than the iolite, which I like because I can't get any vapor out of the stupid iolite. I own both and will never use the iolite again. The flashlight adapter is awesome to easily conceal it and it does last 4+ hours on one charge. No Butante which lets you actually taste your herb. Can't say enough good things about it. Some minor tweeking left to do but overall an excellent unit. Reasonably priced also. Not $200 for a plastic POS that works only half the time (iolite)

Since I recently found out there is not PM system here, is there any reason you can't post up your experience? If in fact it's a knockoff of the butane powered iolite, then with a long runtime battery it is surely an improvement, no? :2c: Price is certainly right, going for $130 on a number of amazon.com vendors.

Other than the more crude design of the MFLB, is there another portable vap that small, small enough to put in your pants pocket?

Yes: Essential Vaaap/ Supreme Vaporizer/ VG and other vapebang etc / Vape Or Smoke/ NO2 ...more or less it.
And I think (Hipi might confirm, as I have never tested it!) the Zico is a chinese knock-off/POS with hazardous materials for health...

It costs $180 from retailers. That is as much or more than many respectable units.

Have you used one? Because unless you know for a fact that this unit produces toxic fumes, you really don't have the experience necessary to make such a bold statement.

I have an IO and a LB.

My IO was having issues which I found out was from my using an off brand fuel.I now use only Colibri and all is well.

While I was going through my issues with the IO I bought the I-torch from a highly rated Ebay merchant for $130 delivered.

To put it very simply--for me it is basically a battery operated IO.
It is bigger in all respects--wider, thicker,heavier and taller. Think beefed up IO.
The batteries are not your AA or AAA--I saw 3.7V on the side of each of the 3 that drive the device.

All your skills of using your IO are easily transferred over from loading to sipping the vapor.

Instead of pushing a switch to start the gas and clicking your piezo, you push in 2 buttons simultaneously to start the juice flowing and the heating to begin.

On the side of the unit are 2 lights--when the one of the right turns green it means you are at about 190c or so and you are good to start sipping.

You can turn the batteries off and on by hitting the right button.

The only negative was that the instructions that came with my unit did not match the actual usage of the product. The color of the lights was changed somewhere along the line and they failed to print new instructions to reflect the changes--really very aggravating but I figured it out.

I use the LB when alone and use the I-torch and IO with friends and family--easier to pass around.
I like it.

I saw one of these in a smoke shop yesterday in Redondo Beach (don't know the name but it's on Artesia)

the salesman said the batteries had to be replaced by the company and that they cost a hundred and something about them not being user serviceable....then he surprised me by sliding open a back panel to reveal four 18650's that are simply held in by springs, no need to send this in for new batteries, just replace them.

I didn't like the way things put together, but have no real info other than that the bowl and mouthpiece are one unit.

Yeah I owned a vape made in China, by Vapir. Will never again purchase something from them, the plastic taste was so awful I decided I was inhaling plastic fumes instead of my greens and put it away after less than 5 uses.

I just picked one of these up. My Arizer Solo had to go in for service- the chip controlling the battery stopped working - and needed a working portable. My old iolite is with a friend, so I decided to try this thing. I agree with bruce48 - it is just an electric Iolite. But that gets around the issues I've always had with my iolite.

This thing actually tuns off when you turn it off - it doesn't keep making noise and heat. And there is no butane. I had been worried it might have the odor/taste of cheap electronics, like a Vapir I had did (and my Solo did before I baked the top). I may have just gotten lucky, but no such issue with y Itorch. Tastes just as good as the iolite, maybe even a little better (mouthpiece is steel instead of plastic, so maybe that's it).

And it is a surprisingly good flashlight as well, IMO. Overall, it was worth the $112 I paid for it on Amazon.

You are right. It was simply my gut feeling and I was not right to make a bold statement like that. I don't trust it because I can't talk to the manufacturer to get answers (like another company who's portable I have had issues with) and will never really know all the answers I want. I prefer to be cautious and assume something wasn't made with the highest safety standards in mind, unless they go out of their way to prove that it is.

I read this thread to make my decision to buy the iTorch instead of a third iolite. I think I prefer the iolite, but am glad I got my first electric portable. My opinions:
A lot of the same parts which is good, because I broke the mouthpiece for my itorch and the recommended replacement is to buy the replacement iolite mouthpieces for the itorch. Easy enough, but I really liked the mouthpiece for the itorch - it has an aluminum center which I feel helped cool the vapor.
So now here I sit using my old iolite because the itorch is charging. I'm sorry, but butane is actually more portable than electricity (unless you're mobile solar).
And the butane fumes theory? Umm, don't breathe the stuff that leaks as you fill it, and wait until the burner goes off before you sip... as far as I know, they are allowed to use butane because it is safe and non toxic.
So, problems both ways so far; first iolite had the ignition failed after four months of use, and the second one leaked the butane at the fill valve making it necessary to bring a can everywhere (not portable). The third was the itorch (flashlight? whatever...) I hated the weight of this thing in my pocket, but love the fact that you can turn it off and it goes off. If you are unable to charge this thing, you are left with something you can't use.
So, with my eye on a fourth unit, do I go back to the iolite? Maybe get the wispr (that thing just looks ugly)? Or is there still something better?
