How long does it take to get a hit out of the Elev8r?

I tested my Flowerpot from cold the other night, and by the time the bowl was loaded I was already basically at temp and getting great vapor. Can it vape completely through whole unground bud or do you not count that prep time in your time to get a hit?

Does that mean you are using the Elev8r dry and get none of those irritations? Or do you still use it through water? I'd love a vape so smooth I could get giant dry tokes, a few members told me the elev8r vapor was too hot to use dry but I'm curious about your experience.

Ok...if bowl is loaded for both comparisons...(because that is not part of the vape heating up and getting ready to go status)....takes me about 45 seconds to get a hit out of the Elev8R.

With the flowerpot you need to wait much more than that.

I am not using any vape right not without water. Someone suggested I at least try the Elev8R wand and I would be surprised. I will try that out tomorrow. I really do not want to use one of my water units dry, tried it last week with a couple vapes and did not like it. I even tried to direct draw on my Air2 with the bigger bent stem and a little piece of organic cotton in it for particle catching. Cant taste the cotton at all but the taste with or without was harsh to me. Through water I can taste the terps much more clearly.

I guess I consider a loaded bowl essential for the vape to be considered ready to use. IMO that is a key difference between the two vapes, is that you can prepare the load for the flowerpot while it is heating, and you can't with the Elev8r. That's definitely gonna make up for the slower heatup time.

Let us know how you find it works with the dry wand, seems like a great test of smoothness if you could comfortably use it dry. The J hook looks sweet with it.

I have my flowers in 3 stages storage, so I always have ready to go grinds, or it will only take me 10 seconds to do so with a dried bud piece. lol So I have no wait time for prepping the bowl.

I will see what happens when I use the wand tomorrow evening. I really have no desire to use it dry (with a torch anyway), but I will definitely find out how well someone like me that is highly sensitive deals with a dry draw on the Elev8R.

Absolute favourite is the Elevape smart vaporizer (ESV) since it's a true on-demand vape with inhalation detection so, basically, you only have to grab it and inhale, Nothing else!

But I recently got a I-Heat which is pretty very good on this purpose and it's my actual go to. Along with the recently released Fog which the best for the money imo on the actual market.

Grasshopper and MistVape Touch are top notch too!

But there is so much good options now between Milaana, FW4,Vaponic, VapCap (all butane vaporizers in fact), Tubo, wax pens and I forget something else for sure!

And so much incoming vapes: Lil'bud, Nomad,...

Can I nominate my B1 ?

It’s like a log had sex with a flowerpot and the offspring was better than both the parents :D

Seriously, this thing can be subtle or melt your face clean off.

Heat up time 10 seconds.

Unfortunately there is only one on earth so I’m gonna loose the poll. :(

@szai , I’m still not calling it The Brown Note or Bomber or anything bomb or poo related. :shit:

For mass produced... for me, FF2

Might want to add the Arizer Air and Solo
No idea what this B1 is but surely sounds like I want one!

As for the Arizer Air and Solo, these are more session vapes I would say vs on demand as they would surely burn up your stash if you left them on.

Okay, here is an updated list. Please let me know if something should be removed or if we still need to add some options. Please only suggest vapes that are actually out. It was also suggested to separate the portable vapes from the plug in vapes for this list as well. This is probably a good idea, but to be honest, I also don't expect any of the plug in units to blow away the portable versions and if they do it might be good to know. Here is the updated list:

Dynavap Vapcaps
Milaana
Splinter
Sticky Bricks
Elev8R
Enano Log
The Tubo
MFLB
Firewood 4
Zion
MistVape Touch
Nomad
Firefly 2
Grasshopper
Ghost MV1
FlowerPot
ModPod
Elevape smart vape
I-Heat Vape
Fog vape
Tubo
Lotus
Vaponic

Again, this list is not in any order. I will do a separate poll soon. The only real requirements I had in mind would be:

1. Cannot waste or heat material when not triggered by user.
2. Looking for best flower usage for the sake of this specific poll.

@Crim Thanks for putting together the poll. I am pretty sure polls are limited in the number of choices you can have. I feel like you can only have somewhere in the range of 12-15. I can’t remember exact maximum.
So you may have to bucket a few together as “other”.

@Jill NYC , @Crim , I don't know about option limits but I agree iHeat and Splinter are quite similar, could be on same line / mention . I don't have either but typically same beast , similar roar.

same idea for e-nano log , the Underdog log and the HI logs are basically the same in concept / functionality.

Not sure about about other vapes but surely some are similar

I don't remenber exactly how but Alan mentionned heating coil to be different than the Splinter one, and there is no glass , only wood, in the I-Heat but I agree they are both convection based device with 510 connexion and load in the stem style.

Hi @Crim just saw you mentionned the Tubo 2 times in your list, not a big deal although... You can add to your list the DT Gen 2 atty from Divine tribe and maybe the Minivap if you don't mind if the device have to be powered on/off for each hit (like a log vape).

As previously stated it looks like I am going to need to reduce my poll list to 10 options. Admittedly, I really don't have all the facts on all these vaporizers and I am trying to reduce this list to 10 and group similar vapes. Here is my latest list:

Dynavap Vapcaps - Vaponic
Milaana - MistVape Touch
Zion - Firewood
Splinter - Iheat
Sticky Brick
Elev8R
Tubo
Firefly 2
Grasshopper
Ghost MV1
Elevape smart vape
Minivap
Lotus

I am looking for suggestions on getting the list to 10 options. Please let me know if you have any thoughts on dropping any of these from the current list or grouping a few more together.

I have now reduced this list to portable only to help reduce the list to 10. Also, if I have removed something or not mentioned something I should please let us know.

Thanks

You could separate it into 2 lists, one with batteries, one with Butane in order to bring the list down a bit
I have seperated the polls as suggested above. The polls are now live so please submit your votes.

Battery Vape: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/favorite-on-demand-battery-vape-poll.26392/
Butane Vape: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/favorite-on-demand-butane-vape-poll.26391/

I have allowed two votes per user. Please only vote for vapes you have actually used.

If I got something wrong or missed something please let me know and we can reset poll.

Thanks! :brow:

I fail to see how using a smelly, noisy and burn inducing device running on non-renewable energy, that makes you look like a crack-head and attracts cops from 2km away, qualifies as the best vaping experience (and that's also aimed at the VapCap etc.)

Torches are the opposite of stealth. Playing with fire evokes Stone Age to me. Fuck combustion, in all its forms!

:myday:

KeroZen, you slay me :)

about did a spit-take on the laptop!

hopefully I'm not being redundant... but I've been very happy with 'roll your own' Divine Tribe atomizer/Box Mod combos. A learning curve, but by no means insurmountable.
More of a 'palm' sized vape, so still portable... looks very much like the array of eCigarette units.
Option of using a session based atomizer or a tank unit.
(I only use it for concentrates, but they have a flower vape as well).

I have three of them in various configurations (easily changeable), know folks who have units with 2-3 batteries in 'em.

Semi related to this post I think I will also post a poll for best session vape soon. This list will easily be longer than 10 so I will cut it down to the 10 "most popular" session vapes I know of. If you would like to make a mention that would be cool.

The sticky brick jr really is my favourite for that purpose. Turn on torch, inhale for 3sec and set aside for later, zero lost (sry vapcapers but i'm done drawing when u still heat) - vapor genies are kind of similar, but have a little heat sink...
I'm on opposition to @KeroZen degrading high exergetic, hard to create electrons to do low grade anergy heat applications is disrespectful to them :p and torches filled with biomethane would be renewable ;)

I could be mistaken, but in the videos for Elev8r when the wand is used, they blast the heater with a serious blow torch, and leave the heater attached to the wand between hits. With the amount of heat generated by the torch directed at the heater, with the herb chamber located immediately below the heater, how much of that heat is getting to the herb before the first draw and between hits? The hits might be so tasty, as reported here, but couldn't one factor be the amount the of herb the herb chamber holds; reportedly up to 2.5 grams? I was under the impression the original question was about on-demand vapes that do not heat the herb except for when taking a hit? Unless heat is only available during the draw or in preparation for the draw, I cannot see how that would be possible, unless you physical remove the herb from the heat path, as in removing the tube from an E-nano or the heater in the Flowerpot. The only truly on-demand vapes, in my own way of thinking, is the FireFly (super finicky) or the RBT vapes. And I sure hope I can get my hands on one of the Milaana 2 vapes when they are released. I hope the Wizard at RBT sees this and takes pity on this 65 year old dexterity challenged medical user seeking the ease and effectiveness of combustion in a vaporizer, so I can stop the search.

The way I heat the Elev8r.....with a Blazer Big Buddy Turbo on lowest possible heat setting.....usually I will get max 2 draws off each heat torching. Sometimes just one pending on how hot and how big I go.

The load is far enough away from the heater any conduction heat and is not a concern. The glass bowl walling holds the heat more from the prior draw than any heat from the heater unit above.

If we’re gonna include the flowerpot then we need to include a lot of desktops that can be used on demand. I still think the king of on demand vapor is the Herbalizer. I turn that thing off between hits during a session!
.....................................
X2

Long live the King-----Herbalizer uber alles, for on demand, that's quick and has precise temp too. And mine is especially on demand as I use with the bottom of the chamber only, with a miniVAP Flexicone (still inserted into a miniVAP cap AND @Ratchett 's Delta 3D adapter on top) for a super ergonomic touch. Lay a hydratube onto that for a complete session in 40 seconds! The Flexi can even come out of the chamber between hits for zero unwanted heating

And the Flexicone is fitted with a hemp fiber filter, of course, for a clean clean vapor too.
