Any criteria's? Are accesories aloud or stock vape. I don't find have to put a torch to my vapcap for 20seconds very on demand... it demands my time and effort yes ..

You can basically heat A Vapcap with most any heat source.
A small quad lighter will heat a Vapcap in 3-4 seconds. 20-30 seconds with a Bic lighter. A campfire stick a bit longer.

If you have to kind of timing with a BIC lighter on a regular tip vapcap , hats off to you. I know mine is no where near that time. I'm really Starting to think my cap Has been defective all along..

If those are the only ones you’re considering, I’d probably go with the MV1, but while I did seriously consider it for my most recent purchase*, I’m not sure either would be my choice right now.
The Grasshoppers of forum members seem to spend a lot of time out for repairs, and they don’t seem to be the most comfortable to use due to the heater being near the mouthpiece (meaning hotter vapor and lips), although if you had backup options this could be a fun vape to have. I hope they work out the reliability issues.
The MV1 has a few issues for me too. It is portable, but it’s a bit large to keep in my pocket all the time, so it’s hard for me to see it as a really usable portable for me. The crucibles are a nice idea, but they look a little difficult to work with, and I would prefer a cleaner vapor path. I feel more comfortable with glass and certain metals, and it sounds like the silicone can pick up tastes and keep giving them back to you; accidental combustion for example. I’ve also heard that it can be a bit inconsistent, especially if it’s not cleaned well and regularly.
They both still have some very good points, so I’m at least still considering the MV1 (or more likely the next generation), but right now I’m looking more at RBT vapes like the Milaana II or Splinter, the related iHeat, maybe VapCaps, or more toward semi-portable flame-powered options like the Elev8R or one of the Sticky Bricks. There are also great plug-in desktops like the FlowerPot, the Herborizer, the Cloud EVO, etc.
A lot of people also like log vapes (which seem pretty good but I haven’t looked into them much yet), and there are a number of decent looking portable options - new and old - that I mostly ignore because I don’t like the materials, but if you’re okay with them I’d check out the Portables section of the forum in a little more depth before making a final decision.
If you just want to pick one of your two options and be done with it though, the MV1 seems like the way to go as long as it doesn’t have to be easily pocketable. There are a lot of people who love it, it seems to give great vapor overall, and I haven’t heard of any problems with it that are dealbreakers for me.
* I ended up buying the NewVape FlowerPot (ShowerHead), and I’m happy with my choice, although if I needed to use it away from home more it’d be a different story. I’m still interested in the MV1, but the other than the form factor and stealth I’m not sure the Grasshopper interests me much right now. That could easily change if reliability is improved though!

Reaching for a mod or my MFLB only to discover my batteries are shot because I forgot to charge them makes battery-powered vapes feel significantly less "on demand". The Vapcap can be used with literally any heat source of sufficient temperature. It may not be instantaneous without a torch or IH, but it is certainly the most on-demand of my vapes.
Edit: Wall-powered vapes, like a good log--now those are truly on-demand. Unless you're out in the woods. Then, not so much.

Oh and I agree with her! I lost my ti screens not for the first time but my dynavaps are out of commission mostly. A couple of days ago I read squiby's? Guide to making the concentrates pad. I have some use if my dynavap now but am still using my sv3 as a daily driver with a 14mm j hook. I risk much until my screens are replaced but we all have our burdens to Bear!

I pretty much only use on-demand vaporizers. The Milaana was my first and the Dynavap my second. I use my Dynavaps about 80% of the time. So far I've neither tried nor viewed a session vape that interests me since I went to on-demand. I'm just not a session guy, nor would it appear am I a regulated guy either.

Well your theory goes the same for vapcap if your torch craps out or runs out of fuel and you're not around another heat source ... I do agree on a log being the best desktop on-demand, no buttons or switch, just load and go!
@Squiby I did get a response from vapcap that my single torch 20seconds heat up time is normal . I didn't get a response if possible with a BIC in 20-30 secs though, lol .. But at least I know my cap works how it's suppose to!
@beyond6strings , just curious to reasons you use your vapcap more often then your Milaana? Load size , feels more like a joint, more powerful hits on one then the other ? I Know it's personal from one person to another.

I'm glad your cap is operating properly. A single flame always takes the longest, especially with a stainless steel tip. If you want a very fast heat up you need either a quad jet lighter or an induction heater and a ti tip. Both just take a few seconds.
I like the log idea. It appeals to me but I live in a rural area where power outages are common. For me, Vapcaps are universally reliable. I have a stash of a dozen cans of butane and lots of lighters and an induction heater. I heat my home with a wood stove and my kitchen cook stove is gas and does not rely on electricity. There is a seasons worth of dehydrated/cured herb and veggies in my pantry.
I've set myself up so that I don't need electricity. Then, if it goes out, it's hardly noticable from a basic comfort perspective.
As long as I have my Vapcap and herb, I'd be content and comfortable to be snowed in all winter, up here on the mountain. Yesterday the fog was so dense, where ever i went, the fog enveloped everything a few feet ahead. Later, back inside, I watched from my window as deer magically appeared and then the next second be swallowed up again into the fog. Magical.

Edit: clearly you're both a lover and conossieur of butane vapes and I feel the sv3 is such a good pairing with the dynavap.

I use the E-nano as an On Demand vape doing just that, though I have yet to really like it very much. I cannot find the sweet spot and though I get cloud production, flavor is meh.
