USB-C? I'm in! Love my Uni Pro, but this looks like a sweet sidekick, especially starting at 1.8v. Interesting that they went backwards with analog tech though, I really like the .1v increments with the digital uni Pro.

What do you guys think?! I love inverting my uni Pro with a dabcap and a bong! No e-rig can even compare IMO!

Oh maybe, I never really had a problem with battery life though, even on the Groote or Wit... And I actually preferred those to my UniPro ultimately... This one seems to be a good combination!

I feel that the vast majority of batteries (especially CCELL) are set way too hot for these carts pushing in the 3v+ range. 1.8-2.8v is all I need and keeps my ceramic carts and me happy.

Yeah form factor, comfort in the pocket, but I also use the lowest voltage possible, mainly use the preheat feature to hit 1.8v, and if I am using another setting I take short hits so the temp is low... I do not use upper voltage settings on any of these pen batteries personally... Also have not been using them at all in the past year, no need when not leaving the house lol I do have a few carts sitting here though so I can test the twist!

The Wit is very nice! Better for half gram carts, the Groote is better for full grams, though not quite as nice as the Wit... Kodo is pretty useful too! I never tried the Lit I don't think, just the Handy before these...

Got the Uni Twist!

There are some things that I like overall, and some things that I don't like, and overall will prefer to use the Uni PRO.

The things that I like are the size, and that you are still able to have the same 650mah battery as the Uni Pro. Also nice that it is a metal body, however I find it too heavy compared to the plastic Uni Pro.

Also because it is so small, it is much more suitable for 0.5ml cartridges, because the 1ml stick out of the top too much. The uni Pro is much better for 1ml cartridges.

Although I love that the lowest temperature is 1.8v and up from there, I do not like the rotary temperature dial because like the Yocan LIT, it is far too easy to move, and this can happen while in the pocket. The dial is too loose, and needs to be tighter to prevent accidental temperature changes.

The Uni Twist is a cool little battery mod for cartridges, but it will not replace my Uni Pro with its digital .1v incremental temperature adjustments and lightweight body.

The thing i'd love to see the most from Yocan is a UNI PRO + that is a bit shrunken down in size, and perhaps some slightly higher quality components to the body without sacrificing the light weight. Oh and USB-c charging like the uni Twist!

Anyone else get one of these?

I have one and I am really enjoying it, I found the dial to actually be quite stiff and secure on mine, also like that the switch to raise and the lower the cartridge is nice and stiff and secure, has three slots, I remember it being a bit loose on my pro comparatively... I really like the smaller size, and the metal body, the weight is a good point though so that would be cool to make it lighter somehow... Yeah I prefer the dial to digital increments, and there is still the preheat function to go below 1.8v for a little session mode... I only have half gram cartridges right now so I have not been able to try it with a full gram size yet, also have not been using cartridges much at home, but will be able to test more soon as I have a few carts now.

Preheat is simply 1.8v for 10s (or until double click) like the Uni Pro.

I do wish the Uni Pro had the ability to do 1.9v lol

I believe it's 1.8v for all yocan batteries, but definitely know that's what it is for the uni pro.

Inverted that's such a sick minimalistic setup bro!

PS. Just wanted to add that I much prefer the OLED screen on the Uni Pro vs the no screen on the Uni Twist, not just for the digital voltage, but also the awesome battery indicator.

Out with the old (Sneaky Pete Master Adapter) and in with the new (Dabcap), and my Uni Twist and Toro clone rig backups! This is my favourite vaporizer setup of all time paired with a tasty resin/sauce/co2 cartridge. Absolute perfection and legit dabs on the fly! What a time to be alive!

I hope it’s not too heavy, I like the lightness of the Uni.

It mentioned rubberized zinc alloy. There is a massive difference between the weight of the Uni Pro and Uni Twist due to the different housing materials. And while the Twist is indeed smaller than the Pro, it's much heavier. When I pick up the Pro it feels really light, cheap and plasticky in comparison. But with that said, the paint on my Twists is definitely not very resilient in my usage lol

I like the magnets on carts, as I take them out when not in use, in case they leak. The “Shiv”, will be my first THREAD ON ONLY device. So I’ll leave it on and hope quality carts won’t leak.

I don't understand how carts even leak? Are these CCELLs? Even my CCELL clones have never leaked, and i'm pretty sure I abuse my carts more than you guys lol

Having to take carts out "in case they leak" sounds like an anxiety that should not even ever exist.

100% reaching for the Twist over the Pro every time now. The battery indicator isn't even an issue since the Twist has a better battery life than the Pro even though they both have the same 650mah. There is a price to pay for that bright OLED screen lighting up every time you press a button!

I have yet to drain my TWIST battery down to its programmed voltage cutoff. When it shuts off, I’ll test it with a USB current reader, to determine the amount of mAh’s the battery is capable of. Assuming the published mAh is accurate, the difference you are seeing may be due to the voltage settings you mostly use. Higher = Shorter...

My hits are mainly 15s auto shutoff blinkers so I would think there would be at least SOME noticeable effect on the battery life. Actually another reason why I prefer the Twist, it's much easier on the eyes when using it at night!

The brightness or existence of the screen is a person preference.

The rest requires science to be 100% accurate.

1st we assume the batteries are what they claim to be. (650mAh) So that’s the first test.

Assuming, they are nearly identical,
The distillate and carts would be from the same batch, meaning the oil is identical, and the 2 new carts have identical ohms resistance.

Next would be consistent voltage setting, at set times.

Assuming the heat up preset is accurate at 10 seconds and 1.8 volts, these would be known data points. Or using the 15 second built in shut off, and the same voltage set point, as long as it’s the same on each device. The dial on the SWITCH may not be as accurate to set or in use, as the digital screen version.

From there, you could construct fairly accurate charts showing all variables, and prove your hypothesis.

I’ll say from my limited LCD experience, that as this tiny screen times out and is not on all the time, I doubt you would find any measurable battery life decrease.
