You don't need to change the coil until it dies. Your box mod will no longer recognize the coil or its proper resistance.

Lately my Nyx.isn't doing anything good..even if I load some good wax , it gives a burnt taste at low temps also..
It's draw is also very hard now, seems that it has got clogged..
Please tell me.what to do, shall I clean it using iso..if I look inside I see a lot of unused wax, what can I do with that? Do I have to waste it?

Can you please shed some more light on this tech. I have Nyx and I am finding a lot of gunk accumulation..how do you collect reclaim , do you use again whatever you collect?

Take the coil and cap only and put it in a zip lock bag with some iso alcohol , shake till clean rinse ,, let dry and use it again. If that does not work get a new coil as it is most likely going bad.

You are right ..I did this only and all I fixed ..but I couldn't get any reclaim .I read somewhere that its not good to smoke alcohol

If it is the right alcohol , i use 91-100% iso , you can evaporate all the iso completely and use what is left over to vape. I would read up on it a bit though and do some research. It is or can be dangerous or harmful to you if all the iso is not evaporated.

Love my Nyx, I'm continually very pleased that it performs as well as it does. I'm using the stock nichrome coils, the original coil is over a month old and still works just fine. Good taste, big hits, no splatter, what more can you ask for? And I just love the carb button...how is it that nobody else has one?

What do you guys mean? Almost every head shop and dispensary that I've visited carried Yocan products - sometimes that's all they got for concentrate. Yocan sells in masses.

None of my LHSs have the NYX they prefer Atmos, Dr. Dabbler, and Source. I need to visit more out of state shops.

Thank you! Sent the request.. my question was a noob question as to how hot to run the nyx and how to load since
(1) I've never used concentrates before
(2) never used a rig of pen but I posted on Reddit and I didn't want to get in trouble if it's an infraction to post same question on FC and Reddit.

I think I'm doing it wrong because I didn't feel that big hit people were mentioning

Here's pics of what I did but I don't know if I did inhaling wrong...also didn't know when to engage that fresh air valve ... or what cool down means

You are using theceramic donut coil which doesn't provide as big hits as does the dual quartz but flavor is much better with the donut. I usually don't go higher than 20 w for bigger hits on the quartz..

Do you normally wait to melt all your wax/ shatter into oil in the chamber before capping it?

Or load it, close it and inhale?

I tried following some people's advice and not inhalintg too hard but now I feel like there's resistance and not so much vapor going or at least not going in till the end

Melt it in, let the ceramic donut absorb the oil and then cap it, draw some cool air through to tame the oil, and then pulse power and inhale slowly.

My buddy snagged one of these a few weeks ago, and I must say, I am really really impressed by it. It, IMO, is the closest "dab" like hit from a pen. The carb button is really sweet and I think contributes to this, but I blow out HUGE clouds when I use this thing. Taste is decent. Really only ever need like a hit or two from it and I'll be good for awhile since the hits are so strong and fat.

I had a Source Orb, this kicks its ass. I have an Omicron and while it's nice, I think the Nyx hits harder. The Hercules too. Maybe the W9 products are a bit more flavor chasers (they do seem to taste better), but IMO neither compares to the lungfuls of clouds I can get from my buddies Nyx. If I was more into pens, I would certainly snag one.

Not sure how the efficiency is on it, but I imagine it's not as good as the Ceramic Rods. Just by design, I feel like the Quartz will get hotter quicker and vape everything up, and you can't really restabalize oil in a Quartz Rod (i think...) like you can with the ceramics.

I really dig it! I believe he has an Istick 40w, I'll mention the TC control to him.
