XL Core vs Carta w/ intella-core max vs Puffco pro w/ 3dxl:

Hi FC peeps, Happy 420! So, I like ripping fat dabs. I have the core xl. Works great, IMO, for big fat rips, after a couple preheats. Does anyone have all 3 rigs, the XL Core, Carta 2 w/ intella-core max, and Puffco pro w/ 3dxl, and also like fat dabs? Which is your favorite?

I do have all 3, and short answer: on average, I'd recommend the Puffco Pro w/ 3dxl. However, the Carta 2 with intellicore max is not bad at all, but I think the Carta 3 is going to launch this year?

Over any of these, I'd recommend the Switch 2 - great performance and no worrying about buying a new 3dxl atomizer every 3-6 months.

Do you do one hit, fat dabs with the puffco? Not low temp. Which of the three rigs is best for that? My xl core does good. I have to run it twice on the hottest setting, then lower the temp to the 2nd hottest, and when it buzzes it’s preheated on this setting, I’ll do the dab. One hit, fat cloud, still doesn’t burn it, and there’s still a tiny bit left in the cup, which after wiping with a qtip, looks new again.

I actually designed the heat settings for the Core XL. It was intended for this purpose but I don't generally recommend the highest red setting for dabbing. I meant for these to mimic a torch and banger, along with having a couple lower settings for tasting only. They shine best when doing hot starts too.

I agree, red is definitely too hot for dabs! For me, two red cycles for a preheat, followed by one cycle at white, for huge rips, is perfect!!
