Discontinued WizVape new portable in 2013

I am intrigued by this vape for a few reasons:
1) It seems like it is a great small load vape with a wide temp range.
2) If the stirrer actually works, I think it would be helpful for even vaping. With my Pax, I have to open the oven, and stir it around with a poker (which I always misplace) to evenly vape my herbs. To not have to worry about fishing around for something to stir would be helpful.
3) USB charger is also good & if battery life they claim is accurate, also huge plus.

I am concerned about buying this vape for a couple of reasons:
1) According to the User Manual, http://www.wizvape.com/Doc/PX1 User Guide - US ENG.pdf to use the Wizvape, you open the lid and insert a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece looks very small, and can't be stored on the vape when not using, which means (at least for me) that I would end up misplacing the mouthpiece. I wish it could be stored on the unit.
2) The warranty for the unit is 1 year while the battery warranty is for 6 months. That seems like a crazy short window - especially on a battery that isn't replaceable, from what I can see.
Does this seem like a red flag to anyone else or am I just expecting too much?

I think that is knock off Pax, as last I remember they don't make them in green. As for this device, it could be interesting, but I'd like to see how battery life and efficiency is.

They do. I have one of the first emerald Pax units.

Really? Interesting, I just thought it was a fake since that site is known for it a bit. Good to know. Be interesting to see the WizVape there, as they have some generic Atmos Raws going for really cheap and almost has me tempted to try it.

I don't know if I'd trust the cheap one on that website but ploom has the emerald one .

Pax is made in Shenzhen (China) by one of the manufacturers on Alibaba... Pax is only "designed" in USA, but made in China... and you can buy a real Pax for about a quarter of the public price directly at the manufacturer (same for Arizer products and many others !!! )

Ok LeTchen, but let's suppose the manufacturer goes a step beyond and wants to take avantage on who thinks it's the real thing, making Paxes with poor materials.
If those fakes are made like the real one I'd buy some.
If Ploom want to produce in China they have to pay the consequences, other than saving on workmanship.

If you want warranty protection and customer support, buy from the manufacturer. Not to mention, this keeps them in business, so that they can keep innovating.

HAHAHA Awesome!That's some funny Shite! I love new gadgets that's why i'll give it a whirl. To tell you the truth though it'll be tough to beat my little Cera mic buddy

The spinning action in the animated version looks really effective but judging by the real video footage it looks like they couldn't pull it off. From the most recent video, it looks like the little brick of material is just spinning in circles and not actually stirring.

I preordered early Monday and am going to be a guinea pig on this one. My expectations are pretty low, so keep that in mind when I post my reviews. June is certainly looking interesting for testing new portables.
