I also noticed that there's a few centimeters of space at the top.
But I think the people who built this had a reason for it :)

But I don't know enough about it to write anything about it... It's my first ball vape. I've had it for two weeks and I'm very happy with it.

I haven't used my Solo 3 since the ball vape.

It mostly came down to making sure, at minimum, the majority of the head that contained the gems would be inside the coil. It was definitely meant to be a compact but powerful head with quick extraction. The main issues that it has are it loses heat soak and takes a bit to recover, unlike our wired favorites. Part of that is simply the fact that it’s wireless but also a big part is the size of the body and amount of media.

I’ve been playing with some new ideas to improve heat retention and even extract more performance/efficiency from this unit. 2mm ruby spheres are an upgrade for extraction speed, improved airflow and most noticeably flavor but it actually reduces the weight of total media in the head. I may be offering some upgrade kits soon for those who like to play around.

Which ruby balls do you recommend?

I read on Reddit a few days ago that someone had replaced the rubies that came with it.

He said that the draft was very open before and has improved.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find out what he replaced it with.

I’m not sure where you’re located for a supplier, but I’m using 2mm ruby spheres. Definitely more open and less restrictive. Doesn’t lose the extraction ability either. The WOHW head comes with 2.5mm gem cuts. About 13.3g give or take. For reference, I filled the same head with 12.13g of 2mm ruby spheres.

Caveat: you will need to place screens inside to prevent the balls from falling through the machined screens. I’m using titanium but you can use SS mesh too.

Wanted to give a little update and sneak peak/preview of a revision I'm working on for the Wireless One-Hit Wonder. I recently let my stock run out of the Titanium version and will be moving to a SS design. There will also be some changes to the dimensions to provide more battery in the heater. Not a revolutionary design by any means, but certainly should fix many of the shortcomings of the last heater. Will now fit the Crossing Ti hybrid bowl, along with standard style 22mm diffusers that it didn't work with previously. It will do that with a screw-in diffuser adapter. Also, planning on increasing the flavor and airflow with 2.5mm ruby balls. Will be selling individual parts and bundles without the PID for those already integrated into the system. One of the changes is going to require a taller dock and coil size to accommodate. It was already a device that packed a punch above its weight, but this should put it up there with some of the better diffusers on the market. And we're not dropping the dual injector design because it makes an incredible pre-heated bowl setup. Not needing a second coil for a heated bowl is a great qol feature. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll fill in more details as we get closer to finalizing the design and getting them shipped out.

I just bit the bullet and ordered a WOHW in Australia from Herbware for $380 AUD which is an excellent price.

This will be my first ball vape after recently getting into vaping with the Mighty+ and a Dynavap last month. They're great devices but not completely doing it for me.. hopefully a desktop ball vape will put that to rest for a while until I get VAS for a Tempest 2 ;)

Part of me wants to wait for the revision, but I know I'm too impatient. Thanks for your efforts @solidsnake02 !

Appreciate it! I’m sure it’s going to make its way to a retailer over in AUS eventually. It’s a great device but wanting to make it an even better value.

You’ll enjoy a full desktop vape over the other two mentioned. Not that they are bad, just different use cases and power. Welcome to the fold!

Sooo, I went and took my Angus Enhanced refund (plus some €) and got the WOHW. Initial reaction: WOWH!

How did I get here? TM2 led the way. My preferred usage of the TM2 was the stainless steel t.bowl thingie. You know the kind that kinda works like a ballvape?! However, eventually I got tired of all the button pressing, waiting (after a pause between hits), changing (charging) batteries, and decided I wanted a ball vape. My desk can be fairly busy/crowded, I do NOT want a piece of crazy hot metal stuck on a cable, so it had to be wireless. And here I am :-)

What can I say? It's much like TM2 on a bowl, but on a whole new level. Better taste, smoother. Probably due to the huge surface area of the bowl screen compared to the t.bowl. While the bowl also works with small amounts that don't cover the screen, my eye somehow got drawn to an accessory that I have used maybe three times in as many years. I just didn't like the Crafty+ on a glass piece. But hey, that adapter - the glass&screen portion of it - looks like a wonderful little micro bowl. Turns out, the diffusor side covers it nicely, but does not securely sit on it - so HOLD ON to the hot thing! :-) And it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It takes a tiny amount to fully cover the screen and it rips juuuuust right. Also, the rubies sit really close to the herb, so I take the temperature down a good bit, from about 560F to about 500F.

This thing is so good, I hereby declare to be VAS free, at least for the rest of this year. But really, with a Venty, TM2, Tempest, two party balloon blowers, and now this monster, I don't see what more I could need. Seriously, not a joke at all.
