Received a cherry body from @Winegums over the weekend. Shipping from Canada was quick - I think I had it within a week of placing the order. Envelope included a very nice handwritten note (in cursive!) thanking me and giving details on how the wood will look with age.
Wood grain and color are great, exactly what I was looking for - I wanted something lighter than cocobolo and different from the standard dynavap options. The shape and feel compliment the wood nicely - simple lines and subtle tapers with no sharp edges are a nice contrast to the nonavong’s crisp and precise geometry.
At 43.5mm, it’s slightly shorter than the advertised 45mm, which slightly affects how I set the omni condenser. Condenser’s fit in the cherry body is not as tight as in the nonavong, but still secure. This makes condenser adjustment smoother and it doesn’t feel like I’m destroying the o-rings, which is a plus. Steel core also adds a bit of heft that makes it feel a little more substantial and solid.
Super happy with this purchase and will definitely keep an eye on the etsy store. Thanks, @Winegums - it was a pleasure doing business with you!

About the 43.5mm length.
I've been purposely making my body length pieces about 1 mm shorter to allow more adjustment on the Omni. I find that I'm at the limits of adjustment for the level of choke I want and on the other end of the spectrum the first few mm of travel on the Omni don't do much to change restriction. So with that in mind bringing the tip and condenser closer together allows a wider range of adjustment. One thing I didn't consider was how often someone would be swapping between pieces with their Omni.
On that note I do find that steel w/ Bees wax is far less abrasive than wood on O-rings. The steel core is much kinder once a tip has been "mated" to that particular piece. As long as the first few assemblies are done carefully without damaging the o-rings they seem to last longer than in wood pieces. Using a bit of teflon tape seems to help with fitment once o-rings are worn down but eventually new rings are always going to be needed on Vapcaps.

This makes so much sense and I get it now. I always have my omni condenser fully extended when paired with the nonavong, but I have to back it off a bit with the cherry body. So yeah, the shorter length works as intended and gives a greater range of adjustability.
Whenever I change out the o-rings I wanna use only the cherry body for at least a little while so I can get a better idea of how much the nonavong wears the rings. I imagine I'll get a slightly tighter fit with a fresh set of o-rings too.

I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to make these as I'm starting to run into issues keeping myself a float as far as sales volume goes. I love making things but I'm not sure if I can sustain myself doing it. Anyways, the next few weeks will really decide if it's an option for me to keep going with this as I've had very few sales. I'm attempting to spread my base out but I suspect that will only go so far.

I would be pitty! Perhaps you should have more designs of shape and materials or combinations of material? Most of your stuff is this amphore design and often your pieces are very colourful. Guess this design isn't for everyone - at least not for me.
Excuse my open words. But you seem to look for reasons. Dont't want to bother you or hurting your feelings at all. Just my - constructive meant - opinion. But could imagine that there are more (potential customers) with similar opinions out there?

Perhaps I'll try out something more geometric that I've been meaning to do.
Edit: Some magnets I had on order are finally on the way. They got lost in the mail and had to be resent. I should have some sweet things coming out when those arrive.

Your work is very nice but it does seem limited by material choice and Dynavap specific merchandise.
I'm no pro, but I would say that tying yourself to one vape company makes you totally reliant on that company's success and fan base.
Your designs are distinct and are easily identifiable. That's good.
Have you considered branching out and doing stems and other accessories?
Of course there's also non-vape related products that you could develop.
Perhaps the laminating process adds too much to your cost. While they're beautiful, they seem time consuming and one off color choice could doom a piece.
It would be a shame to have you close shop.

But I think there are so much vape parts/accessories aside DV stuff which would be awesome in wood.
But alone DV related stuff is more than stems or bodies:
What's about wooden cases with heat insulation for @Pipes Skeletor etc.?
What's about Dynastash "clones" out of different other woods/combinations of material?
What's about wooden VC stashes may be with a glass insert for stash only?
What's about wooden cover for Jyarz?
What's about wooden accessories/parts for other vapes?
What's about wooden dab trays/holder/stands? (a big niche IMO with a lot of potential customers! if someone would offer them.

I really want to make a carry case/stash for vapcaps and I've also considered making some leather slips to protect the over sized wood pieces in someone's pocket without being too thick.
I think I'll prototype some stashes, stands, trays and boxes today. It'll be mentally refreshing compared to what I've been doing.
Thank you again for expanding my mental horizons. It's easy for one to get too wrapped up doing one thing/going one direction and lose track of what else there is out there.

Hey guys I got a prototype valet done, it's a bit small but it sure is keeping my desk neater. It's figured Cherry with a poly modded oil finish, it ended up far from perfect. I won't be selling it, but I want to make a bunch more today.
Edit: Dims are 6" x 3.7" x 1.125" or 150mm x 93mm x 28mm
Please let me know what you would like to see out of a desk valet? I can add dividers, magnets, stands, etc.

I've already been brainstorming some ideas for VC specific stands with a magnet, rods for standing things on, and a little bit of storage for tools. I'll also make stands for the valets.
Woodporn is the goal.What about making it slightly deeper and having a lid with a magnet and grooves? That way it's doubling its duty for the desk space it's taking as well as keeping the items inside from collecting dust.

Make a turnable lid. Outside a plain polished surface, inside magnet, drills for holding VC, stash container, dab tools like brushes and something like dabbers and so on.
So you have the box closed stealthy with the plain side of the lid or after just turning around the lid it will be a stand for your favourite paraphernalia?

@Winegums Love it! Been needing something to tidy up my desk. If you could make one with a hinged lid that has a magnet/grooves like you said that'd be perfect to store my caps in. Right now I'm using a box with a photo frame lid like this:
The glass is a handy heat sink for cooling caps and the frame kind of makes a ledge to hold stems on; but a magnet/grooved lid would be a great improvement!

As for the burl piece I must have forgotten to post that here in my thread. It's a real beauty.
I had that piece in my cart and must've looked at it a hundred times. I really should be saving my cash right now instead of spending it on things I don't need (especially as I'm already committed to a Pipes induction heater) but I had just about talked myself into buying it -- in fact, just a minute ago after seeing the post in this thread I said to myself "fuck, I should just buy it before someone else snags it", and I went to look for it again...
