Why are bongs and bubblers always round ?

I do get it I think, much easier to work on a round turning unit, but is this the only case?

There are some small cube bubblers, and the hisi bub pictured above which I've actually owned. As well as some others with funky shapes, but they're rare

I think boro generally comes in tubes, so naturally water pipes are round

Edit: @lwien where did you find that?!? I want to put a water tool or hydratube on top of that!

There is a large bong at smoke signals here in denver that has like an antique style brandy liquor multi-sided bottom. So pimp.

One reason would be that glassblowers get their glass in round tubes or rods,
but another reason is like what you said.

Glass spinning on a lathe at very high speeds...much easier if it's a round tube.

yea because you have to spin the glass by hand or on a lathe - round makes the most sense.
u can still work w/ square boro - but it just takes more time = more cost
