Oh MAN! I wish I could tell you. I love the hell out of my nano!! Not going to rehash again nano over UD (there are a few small threads that already do), other than to say A/C is what comes out of the wall and I'd rather not have to worry about converting it to D/C, and cost. I've tried a UD. It was nice. I really liked it and thought about getting one. While I was researching I came across the newly invented (at that time) nano, and feel fortunate that I did. Have no doubt I would've enjoyed the UD fine and hopefully wouldn't have ever heard about the nano again so I didn't have to second guess myself. But, am infinitely glad I got the nano instead!
IMO there is a slight difference in taste and draw resistance. I like the nano a bit better, but that doesn't mean anyone else will. And, for what it's worth on the taste test... I can tell where my nano dial is to within less than 1/4 setting even when mixing up strains. Tragic I know, but easy to get creatively imaginative while vaped. Suggest everyone give it a shot sometime when you're all vaped up and have a friend to set up the blind test for you. Have only used the UD a couple times since I've owned the nano (only know 1 person who has one that I don't see often), but I can taste and feel a small difference. If they were next to each other, think that difference would be even more pronounced.
Now the HI???? Really would love to try one out. So much so that I'm on the list and ready to buy as soon as my number is up. I'm dying to know how the taste compares to the nano.
Adjust-a-bowl GonGs & stems can be had for both nano & UD (anyone else notice UD has now copied these?). Between the dial or vvps and the adjust-a-bowl, small tweaks and dialing in your flavor or buzz is fast, easy and fun. And, Alan has so many stems for the HI (with more being added regularly) that choosing is almost dizzying.
In a perfect world, as far as retail logistics go, choosing between the 3 could be tough and I agree any one of the 3 would be a good choice. But, we don't live in a perfect world - especially for this discussion. So, it seems this new "which log" thread will end up the same as the others eventually do. Where is that?
HI - could be utterly amazing for all I know. THE vape to end all vapes. But, the waiting list is a year - give or take - so you'll need something else while you wait, or put off fucking combustion for quite some time! Still advise everyone get on the list sooner rather than later (especially since I'm already on it and ahead of any new folks!
), because you may change your mind in the future. If your number comes up and you don't want to take it, no biggie and everyone further down the list will be happy you passed.
UD - if you want variable temp (a necessity IMO), you'll have to buy, figure out and use a vvps (true of the HI, too). That after probably spending more for the UD itself compared to the other 2 log vapes in this discussion. This puts it in second place (at least) for me. You can get them in cool shapes too, but I'm kind of partial to the simple wooden cylinder.
Nano - Plug it in, turn it on, wait 5 minutes and off you go. No vvps to worry about - easy peasy dial right on the cord. A/C power, with plenty in reserve, means you can't draw the heat down - no matter how much you try. Cheaper than a UD (even before buying vvps).
So, as I think someone said above.....
