Challenger 601 cockpit and the loaner and customer engine next to each other. We'll be hanging the engine tomorrow.

Installed a couple of BR710's after the CF34 engine change. A shot of one in the build up stand and then both engines installed but not hooked up. Clocked 72 hours so far this week. Gotta go in tomorrow to finish up. Hope to fly home tomorrow night, weather permitting.

Madcap you are lucky you don't have to take a drug test with your job. There are so many jobs here in Washington state that require drug tests even if you are not working on big pieces of aircraft equipment. You sure do look like you have a fun life and an interesting job. Enjoy!

Unloading some old (from last year) photos. Bear with me. This TFE731 had a bad day. A low pressure turbine blade one stage upstream decided to let go and took out the stage after it. Pilot didn't shut the engine down until they landed. Enjoy.

How aircraft parts hold up as well as they do under spin amazes me. I know there have been catastrophic failures like UA 232 which sticks out in my mind at the moment.

Yeah, it really is amazing the amount of stress the parts inside go through. Failures do happen but they are not too common. These things go through ridiculous amounts of testing before they are released into the wild. Amazing engineering and they let mindless apes like myself work on them. Haha!

I was lucky enough to be involved in the first Rolls Royce BR710 engine pull for our company. It was the engine I was hired to work on. That and the GE CF34. Anyway, who cares. I'm babbling. Damn Herbie. Enjoy!

Hello all. It's been a bit. Here are a few picture of what I did on Monday and Tuesday in sunny south Florida. Still down here working on other shit. I'll try to post more pic but uploading them to tinypic is a pain in the ass. Replaced a fan case on a Challenger 601 CF34 engine because it had a decent chunk of abraidable material missing on the fan shroud. Got to work outside on the ramp the whole time. Enjoy!
