Where do you hide all of your vaporizers and accessories?

I'm actually putting this out hoping for some ideas that may be better than what I have in mind. Many of us are in situations where at least part of the time all of this FC stuff must be obscured, hidden safely. For me, I'd like to take measures now to ensure that my daughter who is getting older doesn't stumble onto this stuff and I dread being confronted with, "Daddy what is this?"

A lock on the bedroom closet door is a thought but it's not a great idea because those things can be opened with a butter knife and then there's the WHY i would lock a closet door.
Understand that i live in a one bedroom apt so I don't have a basement or attic, etc.
I'm thinking that a file cabinet with a lock and key may be the answer.
It's a "normal" thing for adults to have - important papers, etc.
They seem spacious enough to hold all the toys, it seems to be a reasonably thought out solution.

Be interested to read how others who are in similar circumstance deal with this.

i use a small lock box to store all my stuff in. its small enough to be easily slid under the bed, holds everything nicely. you still have to have a place to hide the box. but atleast a locked box raises less questions then anything being left out.

I can see how that would work perfectly for a stash, a PD and a SSV, which is a nice tidy setup.
I sort of have a bit more - although i recently gave away a vapormatic which was space consuming and not even that great.
I have a non performing California Vaporizer - a box vape - the company never responded to my emails; I guess I should throw it out
(if anyone wants it they can have it if they want to tinker - just cover the postage and it's yours - send me a PM)
But I think a vertical file cabinet would be a good solution because it doesn't take up lateral space and everything can be safe and sound in one place.
I'd also prefer that the woman who comes over twice a month to clean my apartment doesn't see all this stuff - she's been offering to reorganize what's inside my kitchen
cabinets behind the plates - that's all I need...

Never really needed to hide my stuff myself, but you could use a lockable suitcase and put it on a high shelve in your closet. Perhaps you could even get a safe.

a hidden safe sounds like a good idea, but could possibly be questionable in your situation, I dont know.

I myself am more concerned about all of my glass! I have too much of it, need to get rid of some of my older pieces. I really need a neater spot for all of my stuff, I also really need to re organize all of my related tools.

my MZ i don't even bother putting away. leave it plugged in on my desk next to my drawing supplies. looks almost like a pencil sharpener. nobody would question it.

With the MFLB I keep it in the tin it came with and the tin as well as the MFLB are both very small and easy to hide.

I really want to figure out a way to hide and lock all my vapes and glass, but it seems I would probably need a gun locker. Which isn't really hidden Currently I store my vapes and glass accessories in a 24" toolbox from walmart. It's lockable with a padlock, but the box is plastic. Very tidy, but not really stealth. And my fullsize tubes just sit around in a closet or behind the bed. I have a hard plastic padded rifle case that I've been thinking of cutting the foam to fit the tubes. They are only $20 at big box sporting good stores.

Edit: When I talk about hiding, I don't mean all the time from the people I live with. I mean if a LEO or something like that were to peek into my vape area if I weren't around.

I almost forgot it because I haven't ever used it, but when I moved in to this apartment 10 years ago I did create a secret stash here. I have an open build in closet in my living room. There were no shelves in it when I got here, so I decided to make shelves for it and while I was at it I raised the bottom shelve about 20cm ( 8") of the floor for looks, but I also created room for stash with it when I closed it off from the front to create a compartment. It isn't lockable, but it's so stealthy that it doesn't really need one if you make sure no one sees you using it.

I also build a couple of double walls back in the day when I was still farming, but that's a bit more work and it would require giving up some living space. We've build entire 'grow closets' in the middle of living rooms with room for 4 growing lamps this way that never were detected, be creative

i have actual herb in small canisters inside of that as well, some green and some abv of varying usage.

devices are put into cases they came with and stored high up in cabinets along with humidor, its more for kids sake than anything else. the cigar caddy you can get for free at some online cigar places when you buy a 5 pack of cigars.

Seems like a locking briefcase for a young man would seem socially acceptable, as long as there isn't a huge assortment of porn next to it (that would beg the question, what's inside the box?)

these "aloha bagz" slide under my bed with no smell - i know this wasn't about odor control, but thought that might help, you could use one inside any locked drawer.

Although, in Jean Reno's film, Wasabe, they said if you have to keep something really secret it shouldn't be in the furniture, which might be removed before the intended person finds it, but in the structure itself. I've seen wall-safes that look like an electrical outlet, it would only be big enough for a Launch Box maybe.

"in the walls" would be great if you're a homeowner - not so great if you need co-op board approval for such a project!
mulling this over here i think clarifies to me that either a locking filing cabinet OR a portable gym locker (scratch that - that would make no sense in my apartment)
is the simplest most effect stealth solution, everything's in one place, because it's vertical it doesn't take up a whole hell of a lot of space and there's plenty of room for
everything.

I have a small filing cabinet and think it works pretty well, just all my junk doesn't fit into it easily. Maybe i should get another...

probably want padding or something if you're putting a bunch of glass in there, especially things that could fall over when opening the drawers.

from the perspective of the wife of a long time security professional, for ultimate privacy, get a burglary (not fire) rated safe. most people keep safes in their bedroom, plus you can keep jewelery or other valuables in it.
just trying to keep it concealed from the little one? locking filing cabinet will work, but the lock can be easily defeated (butter knife), really, it just keeps the door shut. unless you move up to a locking file cabinet designed for top secret or confidential papers, they have real locks on them, but are probably out of the question for you(if they aren't let me know, i can get you a deal - or a deal on a safe)

locks only keep out honest people. safes keep out everybody except for safe techs

my stuff is in/on plastic drawers in a locked bedroom for the time being, the kids are getting older and this is something i have been pondering. Told hubby to keep an eye out for a used safe just the other week. we could pad the inside to make it like a jewelry safe to keep our stuff, well, safe.

thanks herbgirl - there's no question that you're right on all fronts. a burglary rated safe would be best but it would have to be a sizable safe. i agree about the butter knife misappropriation but it's doubtful that my little one would go that route. in a few years possibly but i doubt it.
I have this in my shopping cart - not yet ordered - but it seems OK for $60; it would fit under my desk, has plenty of space and both drawers lock, which is top priority.

for parents i think this is an important consideration. as far as a safe is concerned, i think any safe is a big step up from a file cabinet lock.
so yes and thanks, i'd be interested in an "entry level" safe, or a used safe, but i would imagine the shipping expense would be insanely high even if you were be able to get me a deal. regardless let me know, i have an open mind.

1 is in the SSV bag itself (I have a micro lock on the zippers)

My other stash spot was kind of derived from some of the "PC Grow Cases" that I have seen floating around. So, thats exactly what it is.

Being a computer weenie, I took one of my old cases and gutted it. Now THAT is my storage space for all of my stuff. (Jars, ABV bags, small vapes, and my bong) Its pretty neat how it all fits in there, and it too has a micro lock on it as well (in the back) Sure it may rouse a little suspicion if (IF) my daughter or anyone else stumbles across it, but the lock will give me enough time to keep it closed and work on how to explain.
