What's the next portable you're planning to get?

I'm new here and in vaping in general, and the two that seem to be taking up the majority of people's interest is the Cera and INH XP. I'm torn between the two, jumping between the two day after day, so i'll most likely wait until user reviews come out. I'm mainly looking just to use LL, so the oil aspect doesn't appeal to me much. Just interested in what other users are planning to get at the moment and why.

I preordered two inh004xp's one for myself and a friend but thinking about canceling mine and getting the cera. I really like the idea of preloading caps, and I only use my solo at home, so it would replace my pax for outdoor use, and to replace my oil rig and thermovape darts. The convection of the cera, or conduction/convection of the xp.. rechargable quick replacing batteries are a plus as well.. I don't know it's a difficult time to be a vape consumer..

I just decided to get the Cera by Thermovape (TET) It looks very promising for a long term portable that should hold up for many years. Next to that I would be looking into the INH XP, but that one may have to wait a while.

Going with the Cera loose leaf and will be using herb and / or bubble hash in there. Hoping to get 30-40 hits depending on how much bubble hash I put in. I'm thinking about 5 hits a session. Do that 7 times a day and I won't need to open it up at all (no stir) and won't need to change / charge the battery. Then at the end of the day knock it all out into my ABV jar. Then charge the battery over night and do it all over again the next day.

PB, love the plan.

I want the cera eo, hoping i can fill it twice a week, having about two good sessions a day with it. Ill still use my solo in the morning and when being social. Everyone seems to love that damn solo. I do recommend the solo highly if you're new to vaping and aren't so concerned with stealth. In terms of power that things a beast.

I was leaning towards the solo just cause theres so many good reviews, but I was reading through the INH004 thread and people were saying they enjoyed it more than the solo, or even completely replaced it. Anyone else have differing opinions? I liked the idea of the INH XP because there didn't seem to be much cleaning involved or attachments compared to the Solo. Am I wrong in this regard? I figured i'd get one portable that will last me awhile, and eventually get the Cloud in a year or two. I'm not too worried about the stealth, but portability will factor in as well and i've read quite a few people breaking the glass parts of the Solo.

Inh XP.

Because the INH has looked quite impressive online, in my eyes it seems to be the cream of the crop of portables. The XP seems to be an upgrade.

I'm hoping (and expecting) the InhXP to produce a heavy hit of vapor and with the capsule allowing .1-.3g's that it can quickly and easily sate even a small group of people.

Smaller, micro usb charging and without much in the way of tomfooleries such as carrying a solo, a grinder and a stem. If I can load this guy and slip it in my pocket for an evening out, and finish a capsule with a few massive rips, I'll be ecstatic with my purchase.

edit: missed the why.

The question is, for the Solo, how portable do you want it to be? You can walk around with it and vape as well as you can with any portable, but it's not a pocket vape. The glass stems are a plus for vaping but a minus when you need to store the vape on your person.

As for breaking the glass parts of the solo, the only glass part other than the potpourri dish is the stem. If you're holding off from fear of breaking it, it does come with two, they're fairly strong, and a replacement is under fifteen dollars on both amazon and ebay. I've a tendency to drop everything and ive not broken one yet. Also, ive dropped the solo from >6 feet on to concrete and it still works the same.

Glass is breakable but when it comes to portability the INH seems the best bet. It has a battery life on par with the Solo plus it is smaller and it has no glass anywhere.

OTOH the Solo has a better taste although it is inferior to the Cera.

The Cera has the worst battery life but you can always carry more, 4 batteries should last about the Solos battery.

In terms of durability there is no doubt about the Cera either, don't know about the small parts though.

At this point, to me, the Cera seems the best option, despite the lack of temp control that can be a nuisance for some.

I don't choose my vaporizers for other people to use so i don't really care if a vaporizer is user friendly, as long as i master it and it is easy to enjoy.

Pocket HerbalAire v8 or 9 for complete micro-dose extractions (depending on the widows versions in force when released), with full SpreadSheet porn and Thermostatic (PWM) control via a WiFi/USB data link...

The portable market has exploded. It's hard to keep up with all the new designs. Not to mention that the Inhalater is getting an update, and TET and Vapor Blunt are revamping their product lines completely. Then there's a horde of e-cig guys trying to cross over into the cannabis market. It's crazy.

Anyway, TherealVaporblunt has already announced what my next portable will be: the Palm 2.0. I've agreed post my opinions about it, good or bad.

Salutations PakaLolo,

The portable market has exploded.

Consumer profile(s) evolve i guess. For example, i'm not alone to expect innovations based on induction heating - which should be a logical choice for table vaporizers (at >85 % Power-Conversion efficiency, not to mention the speed & Curie alloys potential for passive self-regulation of temperature!)...

:science:

Unfortunately it seems a typical IH circuitry operates at voltages clearly above the 3.7 to 11.1 Volts range covered by 5 Amperes per hour LiPo battery solutions or whatever, etc. That's too bad, 11.1 V x 5 Amp translates as 55.5 Watts - which would happen to be convenient as that's comparable to the ceramic heater element of my HerbalAire.

Anyway, perhaps some additional power-conversion loss might be acceptable in a single-cell deluxe-style battery-powered portable. I wonder since i evaluate the ideal range for IH to equal 24 - 300 Volts D.C. - depending on limitations in the power stage(s) i'd say. Essentially there's a gap (11.1 V vs 24 V) rendering Inductive Heating somewhat impractical for a low-voltage applications niche. Consequently my story-teller crystal ball - which happens to be real foggy at times - shows me eventual future Portable Induction vaporizers resembling a merge between the Venus and a Vapolution but for boats if not at all!... In other words no IH in cigar format unless it's a beefy e-cig for greasy cannabic extracts à la Cera! But one never really knows for sure.

;)

It's hard to keep up with all the new designs. Vapor Blunt are revamping their product lines...

I felt optimistic when reading about the VaporBlunt offer until the sad events which occured lately. Once in a while such variables make it even more difficult to follow while things are already complicated as it is in the cannabic vaporization world.

...there's a horde of e-cig guys...

I'm afraid e-cig air/vapour paths will never look nearly as "Obvious" as this:

:brow:

Now lets just focus on that picture above while we imagine an HA heat-exchanger made of Phytherm230 or Supra36 Curie alloy instead of aluminium, etc...

...though with a detacheable magnetic power base shaped similary to this induction heater tool designed for dentistry applications:

Finally, lets view ourselves having expeditive warm-up times, on-demand, whip-style... In a vaporizer offering the freedom of movements characteristic of small portables but in a semi-wireless table format, euh... Of course the heat-exchanger would necessitate some heat-resistant silicone housing if it's got to be hand-held during inhalation but have no worries as i'm confident the manufacturer(s) would think of it for us - and beyond!

It's crazy.

Well, i can be crazier if i try! See?...

:peace:

Great Scott!
:D just an educated guess. I wish i did though. ;)

This is actually not a given. I understand this new ceramic to be as clean as glass. I'm a glass lover myself, but lets not forget why we all like it...its clean, safe, and tastes good. The cera may very well do all 3 of those while also being much stronger. I'd have a hard time saying its not BETTER than glass if that is the case in real life when I eventually get one.

I'm really excited to hear the reviews on it. I'll be using my T1, paying bills and saving up to get myself a Cera eventually. I'm very excited to see how it works for me.
