i have used the dabado and the source box mod attachment and the torch is the most dab like i have used but i guess its all down to personal experience. i have used the ulyovan cerum and the nyx for the box mod and to me those hit like a pen form factor but the the torch hits harder than the evolve and all the pens. the source 4 and those are pricey compared to the torch. i think the torch was 20 bucks??
I agree it does come down to personal experience and preference. And I don't think I am anymore right than the next guy, however I feel like I did a piss poor job of explaining why I think the Source Nail atomizer is the most efficient portable concentrate device out there.
I do love the Yocan products you mention but like all the others, they gather reclaim overtime and it gets hard to clean (always stuff under the coils and donut) which means if there is this much to clean, there is more waste as I do not soak and reclaim. The Source Nail atomizer is just a bucket/dish. No exposed coils or anything so its as easy to clean as a nail and needs cleaning much less often. I also feel like both the Yocan Evolve Plus and the Yocan Torch are not as effective based on equal dab sizes with the Source nail atomizer. On a quartz banger or titanium dish heated by torch I can get where I want in 3 dabs typically. If I put this same amount of material in 3 seperate donut or coil attys for the Yocan Evolve Plus then I get more hits but they are not as strong and I will still want more after my session is complete because I never get that hard dab like effective hit. The Torch through water does a much better job but its still more hits to get the same effect and I feel like I'm still loading larger size dabs in the Torch than I would in a nail.
IMO, the only portables that actually hit like a nail effect wise and efficient wise are the Dabado/H-Enail/etc. and the Source nail atomizers. The source nail atomizer with a small mod box is much more portable and convenient to use than the Dabado/H-Enail/etc. portable enails.
Some will say the price is high...but I paid $50 for my torch, $23 for the Evolve Plus, $23 for 5 extra donuts because I hate dirty donuts and after 2-3 monthes of steady use I felt like I was wasting more and getting less out of it than what I should be able to. So that's $100 there and I was just about to drop money on a crucible cup that may or may not fit and another 5 donut attys. That would have been an investment of approximately $130 for the Yocan products. I spent $120 on the H-Enail plus another $40 for the XL quartz and Ti nails. I got the Source 4 kit for $160 shipped and I packed my Yocan products and the H-Enail away immediately upon trying the Source. I regret wasting the money I did to find out what I found out but sometimes the hard expensive way is the only one...
For someone just trying to see if concentrates is gonna be their thing...the Yocan Evolve Plus is the perfect starter pen at the perfect price!
