Nice WOOD!
I wish I got a NANO T&T with a longer stem to hold more CANNABIS.
At least I don't break them!

WonG's are cool if they hold enough FLOWER for my excessive consumption.

Maryland?
Ooops, sorry...missed this. Yes, the I live in the socialist state of Maryland. Everything liberal is well supported here...unless you could possibly have fun doing it in which case the nanny state steps in (I'm rather libertarian if you can tell! LOL).

My biggest challenge will be finding a Dr who will certify me for the med program. I have the MRIs, the radiologist reports, the surgery reports, the post-surgical neuropathy reports. But seems like the Dr.s here are running scared and the state doesn't seem to be doing much of a job on outreach and education.

You in Maryland?

Not sure how the program works in ur state but HelloMD.com is a legal online way to get a recommendation. You chat with a doc online and within 30 mins you have a legal rec from a real doc for like $50. I'm in Cali so granted most places will accept any rec so not sure if ur state would take an online rec but they send you a plastic card and you can print it right away..

Just a disclosure I don't work for them or anything (I realize this sounds salesy) I have just found myself in a similar sitch..:)

Oh yea...currently vaping some Girl Scout cookie! Just keeping my post relevant;)

No.. I don't grow. Just have some great options here in Michigan.

Looks to me like you guys in Maryland are on the cusp of having those same options. Here, we have clinics that specialize in certifying mmj patients. Then the hard part is finding a caregiver. Dispensaries are another option, although you will generally pay more there. Or you can grow your own. ;)

Hi guys - thanks for the replies. I have found a site that lists a few Drs who will certify for cannabis in Maryland (even though the patient registration site isn't quite up yet so you really can't complete the process).

I won't go into the whole bloody mess with my Dr again, I posted it somewhere...maybe under Medical...but I love her...she's a great MD....she just doesn't know anything about MJ so is hesitant...that and all of the Drs are a bit worried about Fed consequences even though that has been dismissed as a concern by courts and obviously in the 34 states that have med MJ.

In Maryland, in part, the law states that the patient should have a relationship with the Dr. I agree with that...she knows me best and has been my physician for 20 years...but only up to a point. I have already told her that if she doesn't want to participate, I'm shopping for a Dr that will.

I remember about 45 years ago in Washington, DC there was a big scandal about a couple of Drs who had junkies lined up for blocks waiting to get in, pay their money, and get a bottle of methadone. They were just money mills but operated for some time like this. I certainly don't want that kind of situation as a first choice, but I will not be dissuaded by my own Dr's timidity or ignorance. She and I have an appointment in a few weeks to discuss and I hope we can come to a meeting of the minds. She already knows that I vape black market product off of the street and she knows why. She would be glad to give me more narcotics, Valium and Robaxin, Xanex, Lyrica, Neurontin, and Smbien....none of which do I want (well, keep some opiates and muscle relaxers for acute bouts but really very little. But she hesitates at a simple certification for a botanical homeopathic product that actually helps me.

In Maryland's program, the physician registers with the state. Its nothing to do it....online....name and prescription drug #, all told....2 minutes of work. The patient then goes to a patient registery site and registers online. THEN you go to the Dr and, if they agree, they go into the states site and certifies that you as a patient are qualified and chronic pain (which is me) is one of the conditions. No description condition, its severity, or anything else is required from the Dr when certifying you. Its just check it off. Also, that's all the Dr does is certify that you fall under the criteria. They do NOT prescribe anything, hence there really is no potential legal liabilities...not even remote ones.

So, one way or the other...I believe that Mom is right...I will soon be on a program with much better access to quality and most importantly, choice of strain and form.

Take care guys.

P.S. Mom - I still remember getting a little bit of chiding from you about a post I made when I first joined the forum. LOL I hope I'm fitting in better as I have found a wealth of information here and hope that I can contribute in some small way. :D

Cheers

Yeah me too - Maryland and chronic pain.

Oh, and Headband is currently clouding my vape!

The "Compassionate Care Act" was signed in 2004 and supposed to take 10 years to roll out so that it could be put into teaching hospitals.

All refused - UofMD, Johns Hopkins, Sheppard Pratt (they got anxiety excluded). Not a one accepted it based on the fact it couldn't be put into their Pharmacy Programs (which are DEA Schedule reliant).

So here we are - it was a "how to tax the growers, etc" hold up THIS year, NEXT year, promising open dispensaries six months at a time, then wait oops six more months...

Growing not allowed, no medibles either (but flowers and other concentrates, yes).

Honestly? I have told SocSec Disability that CANNABIS is my one and only medication, as well as Medicare, and I just want the MML protection at this point for use and possession - they haven't shown any interest in little old patients in this whole thing except to tell us compassion is a comin'!

Well, street prices here (with full on legal DC next door) are the same as the estimated dispensary prices will be, and I was starting to feel like a freaking criminal when trying to talk to doctors about it anyway.

So I am kind of back to old school - "Just don't hassle me 'bout my cannabis, man, and I promise I won't be no hassle." (English teachers forgive me...)

And excuse me for still being nervous (not you, talking out loud here), anyone see story first thing this a.m. that legal concentrate dispensary in Cali raided once again by Feds to grab cash...because they CAN? Welcome to my parlor, Erudite Robots... :borg:

If those big legal Cali guys can't protect themselves...

Peace and good things to everyone!

DEEP SLEEP - Larry OG X Pre 98 Bubba Kush.

Great strain! Super fruity taste mixed with that OG funky taste that I love. finding this one good for daytime relaxing funny enough when you look at the name. It's a very relaxing hybrid and it helps with sleep as well. I encourage anyone who likes OG especially Larry OG to give this one a try

The dispensary calls it "Asian fantasy" lol these names are getting funny...I remember not too long ago the question was simply is it chron or swag? As Bobby D said best.."the times they are a-changin"

Here in cannabis backwards NH that's about all I got. Either headies or middies. Sometimes I am told the name of the good stuff I am buying. Times won't be changing anytime soon here.

Can't you move to a friendlier state?

The laws might change on a federal level?

Maybe you will be OK?

HYDRO = STEALTH

OPTIMUM CLIMATE = HIGH YIELD LOW COST

COLAS = CIVILIZED

@OldOyler I don't want to bother you with the suffering I go through.
CANNABIS works the best for me?
I don't do very well with drug's?
VAPORIZING has spoiled me.
The FLAVOR is so good!

Glad the prices are falling!

I am fighting the move as long as I can. I am in California, but work for a French company with a US office there in Maryland. I don't want to deal with that so if a relocation is imminent I'll stock up on some poundage while still here...or mail myself some strategically timed packages. Edibles across state lines hasn't become an issue yet, but not sure how far flowers will make it.

Ah, love this thread. I'm still working on this Tangie sativa strain and down to two flowers now. It is the only thing that works on my restless leg crap at night without waking up super groggy.

Case in point, went camping last weekend and no flower consumption on Friday night. I tossed and turned, legs kept acting up (feels like muscle spasms almost), and eventually swallowed two sleeping pills. I woke up super groggy and really didn't feel awake until about 2pm.
