Whatcha doin' while you're isolated? The Quarantine Thread

BabyFacedFinster

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Anyone else out there stuck at home because of the Corona? Hopefully you're not really quarantined, but wondering what others are doing?

I've been directed to stay home by the powers that be, except for essential things.

If you're locked up too, what are you gonna do to pass the time? Weed related or not.

I still don't have a plan, but I'm thinking about it. Luckly I have enough weed to get me through (I hope).

Thank you to those who are required to work to keep shit going around here. I still have work that needs to be done from home.

Work, process the recent cannabis harvest, read the news, watch TV, play Fortnite. Business as usual.

Work from home. Been socially isolated for a decade. Almost nothing has changed - yet. Work travel is cancelled. Fresh vegetables seem to be of slightly lower quality, but that could just be the season.

Very concerned about elderly parents. Life is difficult for them under the best circumstances. Fortunately, their state seems relatively unaffected so far. No other attachments.

Curious how many FCers are normally isolated. Online forums are an obvious place to hang out.

I was planning on working then suddenly found myself without work as of this morning, so now I'm trying to figure out what the hell to do with myself. I think I should go by my work to get my guitar and grab a six pack of beer or something lol A whole MONTH no work is going to be really hard on me. I do NOT like cleaning the house, but it looks like that will become my full time job. Either that or slacker.
At least they are trying to pay us while shut down!

I'm not set to leave Cabo San Jose, MX until April 7th. I hope Alaska Air will still be flying, and that Portland, OR airport will be open. If things get worse, I could stay another month in Mexico. Could be worse. I can financially weather the pandemic: but I'm at an age that makes me more prone to negative outcomes should I get it. I'm not in a hurry to get back to Washington State.

Aside from work duties, we have a lot more time at home. This might be good and bad.

I worry about cabin fever for us. We are looking at some lists of work around the house, fun activities for the family, exercise time, etc.

On another note, I am looking at making some tincture with some rosin pucks and older weed.

We have some yard work to keep us busy, cleaning up from winter. A little too early to be setting up gardens, but give it a couple more weeks.

With the daily news looking scary, each day around here should be seen as an adventure. Today is St. Patty's Day and we have a corned beef, cabbage and some beer. Time to get our leprechaun vibe going! Weed is green too!

Happy Tuesday friends,

I typically work from home and visit client sites, but with the shelter in place order, all my work outside the house has been canceled. Gotta get creative with how I can still demonstrate value to my employer...

Other than that, my wife and I are planning on reading more books, doing some puzzles, playing some board games. We are still going to go for runs to get our exercise, but it's also been rainy lately.

Hope everyone is making the best of this, staying safe, and taking care of themselves.

I actually had a local farm deliver some really nice cuts of meat. I'm doing a smoked brisket on my kamado grill tomorrow. I figure if we're stuck home might as well make some damn good food and have some damn good herb. I picked up my dispensary pre-order yesterday, 2 oz of flower and 3g of wax/shatter.
I am actually excited about this as long as it ends in short order.

Team NO SLEEP!
MacBill~. You really ought to consider extending your trip. If you are in that age range which makes you more susceptible, I would want to stay as far from Washington State as possible.

I am working half days, we are all rotating at the office to maintain coverage over incoming issues.

At home, I am slammed busy with a toddler. When he naps, I clean, eat, and build airplanes.

Currently working on weight reduction of a 3DHobbyShop 95" Extra 300, and a Twisted Clik NG-21.

Just went to the store to stock up. There are huge supermarkets that service this tourist area about 1/2 mile from my resort. They are similar to a Walmart. They sell everything from washing machines to food. I walk to them, and if I'm buying a bunch, I take a taxi back. About $7. The virus hasn't hit down here. The store is amazingly stocked, however, you have to ask for hand sanitizer lotion: 1 bottle per customer.

On a warmer note, the resort closed the pools, spas, exercise rooms and game rooms. The beach where we are located is "Red Flagged", meaning dangerous under-tows when tides are strongest.

Staying in Mexico would be short sighted IMO. Once it spreads there (and it will) it will be far worse than here. Mexico is very poorly prepared for something like this, and their medical facilities will be overwhelmed very quickly. Coming down with this virus in a third world country is not something I would want to experience.

To stay on topic, I'm working on home projects, exercising and keeping my Evo busy :D

The wife is a registered nurse employed as a Public Health Nurse for the VA Dept. Of Health so she is mandated to be at work currently. The Governor shut down schools for 2 weeks so I am stuck at home with the 2 boys...8 and 10 year olds. Their little sisters are still going into their in home daycares still so I can try and work from home.

I have been pretty focused the past 2 days on work, but I am really just trying to get all my shit done so I can relax a little, get high more often and play some GTA5. It's been tough though with 2 numbskulls wrestling half the time, crying in laughter about potty jokes of some sort, or screaming Victory Royale every 20 minutes! It really gets in the way of my XBOX time.

On top of that...they broke both Traxxas vehicles on Sunday after I just repaired them that morning. I got aluminum kits coming tomorrow which is one small project for us to get into.

I can get really motivated around this time of year. I spend my winter weekends skiing/snowboarding and hibernating and let things pile up, but spring brings out the warm weather and I start doing things around the house again. Hopefully I will get the garage straightened out, finish the back room and maybe even put together the 3rd slide for the playset I built in the backyard a year ago. Plenty to do around here.

I've found a lot of things you mention are much better when you're high. I'm not saying we need to get high before everything, but it definitely makes me a more patient man. I think it might save more lives than a vaccine.

I haven't written in my journal in a while, so I did that. I got really high and got the shivers. lol I've been using only cbd for a while but my man just slid me a fat dime. Get out my log and get small more manageable hits going so I can conserve this shit. Who knows what's gonna happen to me? Maybe I've already gotten sick? Maybe it doesn't effect me the same or more likely I just haven't encountered it yet. I have to be a little more careful. -_-
Tomorrow I am setting timers and doing chores and playing the switch. Gonna play around with the newly released Spawn in MK11. Just try not to loose my mind. Stay sane. Find happiness. Find my joy.

Any Asphalt racers here? We could have an FC racing club

It a free game? I think I may already be playing it. Asphalt 9?

Also thinking about cleaning my vape. But I don’t have any rubbing alcohol haha. And we know that shit you can’t find now haha.

I've got Asphalt 8 and Xtreme. Got a pretty good collection in 8. But yea, free game that are really wild racing games to pass the time. They are geared to draw you in with real challenges.
