So my list has been reduced to the MFLB and the Cera now. Can anyone give more information about the Ascent and Inhalater XP regarding heat-up time and temperature range?

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
If money is truly not an issue, then by all means I think the Cera is your best choice. I simply cannot afford to put that much into a portable.

Also invest in lots of batteries and a good charger. The Intellicharger I4 is a good choice.

I still vote for the hammer, you won't have to worry about waiting more than 3 minutes (three minutes) for it to be useable after running out of butane.

You don't inhale butane and can stop the torch before you inhale.
The torch always seems to work properly unlike ALL the torch lighters I have used.

I love my MFLB and can get nice clouds but can't recommend it because it definitely isn't the potent device I would want to rely on in the end.

I just read a review about the Cera and there's some stuff in there that doesn't sound too good:

there is no comfortable way to use the unit with one hand
After about one solid minute of constant use, the body of the Cera is too hot to even touch and we found ourselves actually burning our lips
The only other thing that I would like to see from the Cera is possibly some indication of battery level, and a light indicating when the heater is on. Halfway through a session, vapor clouds will gradually diminish with no warning. A battery indication light would give the user some idea of whether the unit is on and how much juice they are working with

Can anyone confirm or refute this?

I always use the cera with one hand. the switch could have been put in a better location but I still find it isn't difficult to press the switch with my pinky or ring finger. I'm 6' and 210lbs so my hands are probably slightly larger than average, I will say that if you have arthritis in your hands you might get some cramping but if not it should be fine.

Regarding heat build up, you will definitely have todeal with it while you learn how to properly use it. The silicone sleeves work great to protect your lips though. As you learn the cera, you won't have to hold the button as long because you will know exactly when to let go so the buildup isn't as bad. Also you can put an omicron tip under the silicone sleeve then you won't have to worry about it at all (see picture below). Also it should be noted that if you plan to sneak a hit here or there, you should never have to worry about heat buildup. it doesn't get that hot until several back to back hits

While it is true the cera doesn't have a battery indicator it never bothered me. Just make sure you keep your batteries charged. You should get about 30 minutes of continuous heat out of one battery. I always swap batteries out frequently when at home to keep my batteries in good shape. When I'm out if the house,I know I'm starting witha fairly fresh battery and carry one spare with me. That gives me approximately one full hour of continuous use if need be. Honestly though I have never killed a battery while out of the house

Does anyone know a German shop that sells the cera? Verdampftnochmal.de doesn't have it. If you don't know any German shop, maybe you know some other European shop(not the Netherlands if possible).

if the mflb is a contender, then I think the Flashvape should be one also! its very similar to the mflb in function but gives bigger rips I think?

the flashvape is one on my "to look out for" if i ever get the chance to try before i buy :p

I also feel the mflb is a great fit for you btw.

weedemon,
All I know is coming from a MV, both the Cera and mflb would be hard for me to settle down with. Beside form factor, MV out does both of them handily in vapor production, equals or one ups the Cera in flavor. It's nearly full convection, probably a handful of % points above cera in that category. Fully automated, battery life etc..
I, my self, would be(and am) looking at the smaller newer models like the accent, PinPro, InhXp(?). I also would expect a trade off switch to a smaller, quicker unit. Battery power/capacity is definitely one that will lag in comparison to the MV.
Full convection is harder to pull off with 1 18650 li-ion as opposed to the MV's 3/4 (?) 18650s.
Lets put it this way, I've owned all three[MV, mflb, cera), and all I have left is the MV and the cera oil cart (on persei).
One thing to take into consideration is that the MV is only a portable because it has a massive battery, I more consider it a handy home vape that has the option of a battery. So it's really I unfair to compare these pen sized vapes to an MV.
This is just my perspective, hope it helps.
Best of luck in your search.
