What vapes can give that hit like the Supreme V3?

I was thinking the same thing, but the ZX really doesn’t have much conduction at all. The ZXXL might be more conduction leaning, but still less than other ball vapes. I feel like the Taroma 360 XLS might fit more appropriately.

Whilst the ZX seems like a great vape, I'm never buying a vape with an exposed coil again. I've had enough burns on my carpet and me I'll stay with my log vape to fill that niche. Dropping my Enano into my lap whilst stirring my bowl is something I could never do with a vape like the ZX

I had the same worry for a while, but if you get a nice heavy stand with a good shield, you really don’t have to worry about anything unless you have cats or children. In the case of the ZX you would only pick up the heater once per a bowl. Take your hit and put the heater back into it’s heat shield, leaving very little time or room for it to burn you. You have 0 risk when refilling bowls and you never have to stir in my experience. My second biggest fear was the balls dropping out from the screen becoming loose over time, but I’ve been using mine for years and I’ve taken heater wrapped it in a towel and shook it up and down ,hot and cold, not a single risk of the screens or balls coming out for me and I replaced my own screens multiple times.

Could someone explain to me what the difference between the supreme and something like The 360 XLS? From my understanding, they both provide hot air convection with conduction. Is a supreme really that more efficient. I’ve never used either so I genuinely don’t know. Ever since I’ve had my account on this website I’ve always heard the supreme is the best.

I have all three, the silver one only brings better flavor, and I use the glass bowl more often because I find the vapor thicker compared to the silver bowl but the hit is gentler, it's paradoxical.

My Supreme V3 is giving funny readouts when heating so it seems like it could be on its way out. I've not used any other vape which hits quite like it! So wondering if there are any recommendations for other vapes that can hit as hard as it does?

Although it would be nice to fix the Supreme, it is also a bit awkward to use so finding something to fill that niche which is more user-friendly would be nice.

You most likely need to switch your battery for the readout.

I don't think you read my post fully. This isn't a worry, this is me not going over the same old ground AGAIN. I've owned exposed coil vapes, there is literally no way you can argue they aren't a danger. My skin, hair and carpets have been burnt numerous times with that kind of vape.

You most likely need to switch your battery for the readout.

Yup, or possibly the temp sensor is damaged those are the two likely scenarios. I can still use it as it sometimes shows the right/expected temp, and I can guess the other times.

That's interesting. That's the opposite of what I've read on Discord from other users, which is that the 360XLS hits harder than the 360, especially because you can run higher temps without combusting. I'm torn between those two and trying to decide.

I personally just don’t see how big of a difference there can be when ultimately the end goal is having a hot chamber with hot air rushing through it. if you found the right ball vape and played around with your balls enough, you could probably make the perfect combination to mimic the supreme.

Yes, I’d argue that. Think about it, do you have an iron, an oven, a stove, or sharp kitchen knives? Most of us use these safely every day. They can cause burns or cuts, sure but we manage because we understand that something doesn’t need to look dangerous to be dangerous. The same applies to an enail. As long as you know that a hot thing can be hot even if it doesn’t look hot, it’s not a major risk. It’s more of a concern for kids or pets who don’t understand that yet.

Yes, all ball vapes are mostly convection heating, but some are also conduction heating. I think that’s where you may find your ideal vape. It’s somewhere in between a pure convection and pure conduction heating vape. With a ball vape you can achieve those goals with some room for experimentation.

Also, from my understanding, a log vape works by you packing a glass stem and sticking that into a heater. I don’t have any issue with them. I just think it’s a bad idea because eventually weed can fall in and then it’s gonna taste bad. You don’t have to worry about that with the ball vape.

Now that is something which does have my curiosity, I think the extra wiring might annoy me, but yeah the heated bowl from @Custom Flower Hardware could give that hybrid smack, so yeah good shout!

I've owned the Couchlog, and used a few others. They've been at a festival so don't exactly remember each one, fairly sure something like the Taroma, and maybe the Omega

I also used to own the DeskPod which technically isn't a ball vape, it had a block of quartz that heated instead, but it's very very similar.

I know everyone thinks ball vapes are the ultimate but my experience shows me that my Enano XL can easily perform as well and better than some ball vapes.

Also you can use the log with a WPA so it's then exactly like a ball vape, and even with stem use you can just lift the heater so it's never got weed falling into it. Although I've even had the heater touch the top of well-filled bowl before and didn't scorch it or anything like that.

Id say the Flower Kettle + Electropath, or the Anvil are the closest for that SV3 shhhhmack ya in the face factor. Is swapping out the battery simple on the v3, my temp reader is bouncing all around when heating up so annoying. Anyone know what the battery to replace is by chance? But yeah, the Supreme is my holy grail, paid a pretty penny for it and don't think id ever let it go

I turn my nano into beast mode.
I'll load stem normally on the heavy side. Slide screen down a bit torch outside of stem where herb is then put on nano. Conduction/convection achieved.
I do this when I don't have enough butane to heat up my sv3.
Hits equally as hard as the sv3. Jmo

Yeah someone else mentioned the Anvil, it's not a million miles away in effects, taste-wise it's a lot worse though

I've been close to buying the Anvil a few times but not sure it's the one for me. Highly interested in the Tornado though, but still not dropped on one.

@Custom Flower Hardware you need to make an all-in-one device which has the electropath heated bowl, that would be cool af!

I’ve got the CH Tomcat and the Shovelhead bowl which give a pure convection, pure convection or both, depending on which way you use the head. The best of all 3 worlds!

I hear you brother I’m just trying to tell you with what’s available right now you don’t got many options. I don’t wanna tire you anymore, but I’d recommend any ball vape that also has the option to heat the bowl. There’s a few out there. I haven’t tried any of them so I can’t recommend any. But from what you’ve described and from what I understand about the supreme, that would match what you want the most.

@davesmith does a slightly similar thing in letting his Enano sit on top of the bowl for a fair amount of time before hitting it.

The issue with SS or titanium bowls is that they significantly degrade terpenes. If you want to preserve a terpene-rich experience like the Supreme, you need to find a ball vape with a glass bowl that preheats, such as the t360, or one that can accommodate a coil, like the Universal Baller. However, the silver bowl of the 360 XLs maintains a good terpene profile.

Yeah you can use any vape, that has a separate chamber, upside down so it's not just ball vapes... I only use log vapes and similar style portables, upside down these days, best way for me, with other glass pieces especially... Logs are indeed different, but there are a wide variety of them, and overlapping models that some consider logs and some do not... So Yeah just not really as simple as a ball vape is more powerful or more versatile than a log vape, it depends on other variables, though they can be used in the same manner for sure (like Supreme)
